TIRE SEALANT AND TIRE REPAIR KIT
An object of the present invention is to provide a tire sealant that excels in injectability while maintaining sealing performance and storage performance at an excellent level, and to provide a tire repair kit. Provided are a tire sealant containing a rubber latex and an anti-freezing agent, wherein the anti-freezing agent contains glycerin and at least one type of glycol-based compound selected from the group consisting of glycols and glycol ethers; the content of the glycerin is from 2 to 50 mass % of the total amount of the anti-freezing agent; and a tire repair kit that includes the tire sealant.
TIRE SEALANT COMPOSITION
Disclosed herein are a sealant composition for use with tires, a tire having at least one component with at least one surface at least partially coated with the sealant composition, and related methods for applying the sealant composition to tires. The sealant composition comprises biorubber and a softener comprising at least one of plant oil or plant resin and has a non-petroleum content of at least 70% by weight.
TIRE PUNCTURE SEALING AGENT AND TIRE PUNCTURE REPAIR KIT
The present invention provides a tire puncture sealing agent having excellent storage performance, and a tire puncture repair kit. The tire puncture sealing agent of the present invention contains: a rubber latex and/or a resin emulsion; a predetermined glycol ether; and a non-ionic surfactant having an HLB value from 15 to 20.
Coagulant and tire puncture repair kit
The present invention is a tire puncture repair kit including tire puncture repair liquid and a coagulant for a tire puncture repair liquid with excellent coagulability. The coagulant of the present invention coagulates a tire puncture repair liquid, and contains an -starch and/or a dextrin having a weight average molecular weight of 3,000 to 50,000.
SOUNDPROOF SELF-SEALING TYRE FOR VEHICLE WHEELS
The present invention relates to soundproof self-sealing tyres for vehicles wheels and to processes for the manufacture thereof. In particular, the soundproof self-sealing tyres of the invention comprise closed-cell foamed polyolefin materials, preferably with closed macrocells, optionally perforated. These noise-reducing materials surprisingly allow maintaining the sealing performance of traditional self-sealing systems, which are instead compromised in the case of conventional noise-reducing materials based on open-cell foamed polyurethanes.
RUBBER COMPOSITION
Provided is a rubber composition for a sealant which can be vulcanized at low temperature and is suitable in a retentivity, an adhering property, followability and a fluidity and which is excellent in a sealing property, wherein the rubber composition is prepared by blending 100 parts by mass of a rubber component containing butyl rubber and/or EPDM, 2 to 10 parts by mass of zinc oxide, 1 to 5 parts by mass of a thiuram vulcanization accelerator, satisfying the thiuram vulcanization accelerator:the zinc oxide=1:1 to 1:3, and 150 parts by mass or more of liquid polybutene or a process oil.
SEALANT COMPOSITION AND TIRE USING THE SAME
A sealant composition of the present invention is formed by blending, per 100 parts by mass of a rubber component (A), less than 30 parts by mass of a tackifier (B) and 20 parts by mass or more of a plasticizer (C), and thus the sealant composition can provide improved sealability, viscosity temperature dependency, and fluidity during storage of a tire.
SEALANT COMPOSITION AND TIRE USING THE SAME
A sealant composition of the present invention is formed by blending, per 100 parts by mass of a rubber component (A), 5 parts by mass or more of a tackifier (B), 60 parts by mass or more of a plasticizer (C), 0.1 to 10 parts by mass of sulfur (D), and 0.1 to 10 parts by mass of a vulcanization accelerator (E) (excluding a thiuram-based vulcanization accelerator, however), and thus the sealant composition can provide improved sealability, viscosity temperature dependency, and fluidity during storage of a tire.
Method for repairing self-sealing tires
This invention discloses a technique for replenishing the level of sealant in self-sealing tires at the time that a puncture in the tire is being repaired or when the tire is being recapped. This technique provides the tire with its original level of self-sealing capabilities and will enhance the possibility of the tire remaining in service until it can be conveniently repaired. This method involves (1) injecting a liquid sealant formulation into the sealant layer of a self-sealing tire through at least one puncture hole therein, and (2) sealing the hole or holes in the supporting carcass and the innerliner of the tire. The sealant utilized is typically liquid polyisobutylene having a weight average molecular weight of 25,000 to 200,000. The sealant formulation used can optionally also contain a colorant or a pigment.
Degradable Foam-Containing Tires, Related Methods And Kits For Adding Degradable Foam To Tires
Disclosed herein are kits for use in adding degradable foam to a tire, methods for preparing a degradable foam-containing tire, tires containing degradable foam, and methods for degrading the degradable foam in tires containing degradable foam. The degradable foam comprises a combination of (i) at least one di- or polyisocyanate, (ii) at least one polysiloxane diol, at least one polysiloxane diamine, or a combination thereof, and (iii) optionally at least one polyol.
