Self-sealing tire sealant and pneumatic vehicle tire
Self-sealing tire sealants are provided which contain fragments and/or residues of expanded solids, where the solids are selected from the group containing expandable graphite and microspheres. In some aspects, the microspheres include at least isobutane and/or isopentane as blowing agents. The microspheres may also have a shell containing at least one polymer, and in some cases the polymer is at least one copolymer of acrylonitrile and methyl acrylate. The self-sealing tire sealant may further include graphene structures. In some aspects the interior of a pneumatic vehicle tire has the self-sealing tire sealant disposed on the inner surface, opposite the tire tread, and the layer thickness of the tire sealant may be from 0.5 to 8 mm.
PNEUMATIC TIRE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
Provided is a pneumatic tire with excellent tire noise-reducing properties. The pneumatic tire includes a resonator attached to the inner periphery of the tire, the resonator including a tube with an opening, and a cavity connected to the tube.
Detecting wheel rim cracks
A crack in a wheel rim is detected by placing a composition including a liquid carrier, such as water, and a fluorescent dye, into an interior space formed between a tire and a rim. After an interval, the exterior surface of the wheel rim is inspected using a UV light source, which causes visible light to be emitted from the fluorescent dye. The light emissions indicate the presence of dye which has seeped from the interior space, through a crack in the material of the rim, to an exterior of the rim. A conditioner or sealant can be combined with the fluorescent dye to provide other benefits.
COAGULANT AND TIRE PUNCTURE REPAIR KIT
The present invention is a tire puncture repair kit including tire puncture repair liquid and a coagulant for a tire puncture repair liquid with excellent coagulability. The coagulant of the present invention coagulates a tire puncture repair liquid, and contains an -starch and/or a dextrin having a weight average molecular weight of 3,000 to 50,000.
Self-repairing inflatable articles incorporating an integrated self-repair system
The present disclosure describes a self-repairing article comprising an inflatable component comprising one or more material layers wherein at least one material layer comprises an elastomer. It also describes a self-repairing article comprising a sealed flexible package disposed within or between material layers of the inflatable component, and a repair composition disposed in the sealed flexible package, wherein the sealed flexible package comprises a metal foil and is configured to release the repair composition upon puncture of the inflatable component.
Emulsion coagulant and tire puncture repair kit
An object of the present invention is to provide an emulsion coagulant having excellent coagulation performance and a tire puncture repair kit that uses the emulsion coagulant. The emulsion coagulant of the present invention is an emulsion coagulant containing an -starch and an anionic polyacrylamide; a molecular weight of the anionic polyacrylamide being from 500,000 to 2,000,000; and a mass ratio (WA:WB) of a content (WA) of the -starch to a content (WB) of the anionic polyacrylamide being from 5:95 to 80:20.
PUNCTURE REPAIR KIT
The purpose of the present invention is to prevent an extraction cap from getting detached under high-temperature environments while minimizing the force for attaching the extraction cap under low-temperature environments. A connecting means (7) for connecting a compressor (3) and an extraction cap (5) is composed of first and second connecting portions (7A, 7B). The first connecting portion (7A) has a hook pawl portions (28) at the tip end part of each of a pair of plate-shaped base portions (27) extending in a coupling direction from the extraction cap (5) through on both sides of an intake port portion (10), the hook pawl portions (28) having a triangular cross-sectional shape and including a locking surface (28S) projecting outwardly. The second connecting portion (7B) has an engaging surface (29S) that engages with the locking surfaces (28S). The angle 1 of the locking surfaces (28S) is different from the angle 2 of the engaging surfaces (29S); or a plate-shaped portion (40) which is a region from the rear end in the coupling direction, of the plate-shaped base portion (27) to the hook pawl portion (28), has a constant width portion (40A) and a constricted portion (40B).
MODIFIED TIRE SEALANT MIXING DEVICE
A mixing and extrusion machine for tire sealant materials of the type comprising: a dump extruder equipped with conical converging twin screws located in a batching chamber, said chamber having a low pressure feeding area and a high pressure ducted area; a removable blind flange for temporarily sealing the outlet of said batching chamber so that said material is forced to recirculate between said duct area and said feeding area within said batching chamber, said chamber thereby also acting as a compounding chamber; and an inlet port located in the high pressure ducted area, the inlet port capable of introducing a diluent during mixing of a tire sealant material.
Liquid coagulant and tire puncture sealing material set
Disclosed is a liquid coagulant which can be injected into the inside of a tire without the need of removing the tire from a rim and which can prevent the scattering of a residue of a tire puncture sealing material when the tire is removed from the rim. The liquid coagulant can coagulate an emulsion that contains natural rubber latex and/or a synthetic resin emulsion. The liquid coagulant contains a foaming agent capable of foaming the emulsion. Also disclosed is a tire puncture sealant set including the coagulant and a method of coagulating a tire puncture sealant.
