METHODS OF JOINING AND REPAIRING COMPOSITE COMPONENTS
A first thermoplastic component and a second thermoplastic component including a first joint portion and a second joint portion, respectively, are provided. A least a portion of a surface area of each of the first and second joint portions include a respective first and second mating surface. The first and second mating surfaces of the respective first and second joint portions are positioned in contact with one another. The first and second joint portions are fusion joined. Fusion joining the first and second joint portions forms a fused unitary portion of the first and second thermoplastic components.

Automated System for Gluing or Separating Modified Adhesives and Joining or Separating Plastic Materials Through the Use of Nanoparticles Sensitive to Electromagnetic Fields, on an Industrial Scale
A process for gluing on an industrial scale, preferably by using hot-melt adhesives, substrates, preferably made of plastic material, by nano-modifying the adhesives through the addition of particles sensitive to electromagnetic fields and electromagnetic induction coupling. The present invention also relates to a simple, low-cost and environment-friendly (i.e., eco-compatible) separation of various components glued by way of the adhesives through the use of the same equipment and the same type of process. Furthermore, the present invention also relates to repairing glued junctions made by way of the adhesives.
Tire repair method
Repair materials made of at least unvulcanized rubber are applied on a repair site of a damaged part of a tire, heating pads are applied on surfaces of the repair materials, wood pieces or other stuffing members differing in size are stuffed inside the tire, in a tire circumferential in tire circumferential direction where the repair materials are applied. The tire circumferential is fastened and pressed from surroundings by bands, and the repair site is heated by the heating pads to vulcanize the unvulcanized rubber of the repair materials, to thereby repair the tire. This repair method provides a low-cost tire repair method capable of maintaining the shape of the tire at the time of pressing and vulcanization, in various kinds of tires.

Methods and systems for repairing composite structures
A method of bonding composite structures includes positioning a second structure at a bonding site on a first structure and coupling a first vacuum bag to the first structure such that the first vacuum bag covers the bonding site. The method also includes applying a vacuum to the first vacuum bag to induce a first mechanical force to the second structure via the first vacuum bag. A second vacuum bag is coupled to the first structure such that second vacuum bag covers the second structure and at least a portion of the first vacuum bag. The method further includes applying a vacuum to the second vacuum bag to induce a second mechanical force to the second structure via the second vacuum bag.

Assembly and method to repair thermoplastic composites
An assembly to repair a thermoplastic composite. The assembly includes a heating device positioned on opposing sides of the thermoplastic composite. The heating device includes one or more susceptor with a Curie temperature to heat the thermoplastic composite. A pressure device applies a compressive force to the heating device. A pressure distribution device is positioned between the heating device and the thermoplastic composite. The pressure distribution device distributes the compressive force from the pressure device over areas of the opposing sides of thermoplastic composite.
COMPOSITE MATERIAL PRESSURIZING DEVICE AND COMPOSITE MATERIAL FORMING METHOD
A first pressure transmission member is formed of a soft material that is softer than the material of a second pressure transmission member. The second pressure transmission member has an area that is larger than that of the first pressure transmission member, and includes a pressurizing surface in contact with the first pressure transmission member, and a pressure receiving surface, which is disposed on the reverse side of the pressurizing surface, and which faces a bag material, the pressure receiving surface having an area that is larger than that of the pressurizing surface.
Glass repair kit and method
A portable glass repair kit system and method, more particularly, for windshield repair for laminated glass and the like to provide an easy to use, highly portable, and economical glass repair kit. The glass repair kit does not require specialized equipment such as an injector, plugger device, suction cups, or require any additional tools or specialized knowledge of how to use the repair kit. The glass repair kit contains a resin which may be urged by a user through slight pressure after the glass repair kit is adhered over an impact point and any cracks thereby repairing a windshield in a more cost effective, time efficient, and user friendly way.
