According to the invention, the plastic preforms produced in the injection moulding machine are transferred directly after production to a thermal preform storage, which holds the plastic preforms at a predetermined temperature and wherein a speed and/or at least one parameter of at least one subsequent treatment device can be changed.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING MULTILAYERED CONTAINER
To provide a method for producing a multilayered container, which has a layer containing a polyester resin as a main component and a layer containing a polyamide resin as a main component and in which delamination is less likely to occur. The method for producing a multilayered container contains biaxially stretching and blow molding a preform having a polyester resin layer and a polyamide resin layer; a storage elastic modulus G′ of the polyamide resin being 5 MPa or more and less than 100 MPa; a moisture content of the polyamide resin layer being 0.5% or less; and the polyamide resin containing a xylylenediamine-based polyamide resin, 70 mol % or more of the structural units derived from diamine being derived from meta-xylylenediamine, from 80 to 97 mol % of the structural units derived from dicarboxylic acid being derived from an am-straight chain aliphatic dicarboxylic acid having from 4 to 8 carbons and from 20 to 3 mol % being derived from aromatic dicarboxylic acid.
Method to produce plastic containers from an elongated hollow piece, and plastic pre-container
A thermoplastic pre-container, typically a blow molded piece, is provided to form several hollow bodies. The pre-container is elongated along a central axis and includes a bottom section, an opened section and in-between at least one hollow body section. A plurality of circumferential grooves are provided in a pre-container sidewall, each with a bottom line formed in a virtual plane perpendicular to the axis. The bodies are obtained after cutting the pre-container in a direction transverse to the central axis and severing the end sections. Due to the cutting at several of the circumferential grooves, a top opening and a base opening are respectively obtained for at least two hollow bodies, each opening being delimited by an annular inner rim of a body flange.
Injection-compression molding device
An injection-compression molding device (1), wherein the rod (3) and the core (5) are connected to each other by means of a joint (20) which allows to have a rigid connection in some steps of an injection-compression molding process, and an articulated connection during the compression step of the injection-compression molding process.
Ostomy appliance waste collection bag with a molded front wall that continuously extends to form both a side wall and a rear wall
An ostomy appliance includes a waste collection bag that is molded to form a front wall that continuously extends to form both a side wall and a rear wall. The rear wall is spaced apart from the front wall when the waste collection bag is empty. A bottom of the waste collection bag is defined by a curved bottom wall that continuously extends from both the front wall and a rear wall. The waste collection bag is formed to include a longitudinal curvature within at least one of the front wall and the rear wall, and a connector is integrally molded into the rear wall of the waste collection bag around a waste inlet.
Method of preparing superabsorbent polymer
A method of preparing a superabsorbent polymer, which enables the preparation of the superabsorbent polymer exhibiting an improved absorption rate while maintaining excellent absorption performances is provided. The method of preparing the superabsorbent polymer includes carrying out a crosslinking polymerization of a water-soluble ethylene-based unsaturated monomer having acidic groups which are at least partially neutralized, in the presence of an internal crosslinking agent having a predetermined chemical structure to form a water-containing gel polymer, gel-pulverizing the water-containing gel polymer, drying, pulverizing, and size-sorting the gel-pulverized water-containing gel polymer to form a base polymer powder, and carrying out a surface crosslinking of the base polymer powder by a heat treatment in the presence of a surface crosslinking agent, wherein the gel-pulverizing is carried out by extruding the water-containing gel polymer through a porous plate having a plurality of holes using a screw extruder mounted inside a cylindrical pulverizer under a condition that a chopping index is 28 (/s) or more.
Container, preform assembly and method and apparatus for forming containers
Preform assembly for blow moulding a container, comprising at least a first and a second perform, wherein the first perform is positioned inside the second perform before blow moulding the performs into the container, wherein each perform has a body forming portion having a wall thickness of less than about 8 millimetres, preferably less than about 6 mm.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DOSING A FLUID FORMULATION INTO A POLYMERIC MATERIAL
Apparatus 2 for dosing a liquid colour formulation into polymer includes a weighing platform 4 which is supported on a pair of load cells 6 which are, in turn, supported on a base 8. A reservoir 12 contains liquid colour formulation 14. A pump 16 is arranged to pump liquid formulation, via a tube 20, to an extruder or injection moulding machine. Above inlet 24 is a delivery pack 26 which includes a bag-in-a-box arrangement 28. The delivery pack 26 includes a transfer pump 36 associated with an outlet of the receptacle 32. A transfer pump motor 38 is arranged to be engaged with the transfer pump 36 and operated so that liquid formulation can be pumped from the receptacle 32 into reservoir 12 across an air gap 13 defined between the transfer pump 36 and the inlet 24 of reservoir 12. There is no pipe, tube or other conduit through which liquid formulation passes on travel between delivery pack 26 and reservoir 12.
