Systems and methods for printing on a contact lens
One embodiment of a contact lens includes a lens body configured to fit directly on the surface of the eye and legible characters positioned on the lens body. Another embodiment of a contact lens comprises a lens body including polymeric material and a lens enhancing material (e.g., ink, silicone material, medicament material, and the like) encapsulated in the polymeric material. The lens enhancing material can be in the form of isolated sections distributed in the surrounding polymeric material. Methods of making contact lenses include forming a first lens layer including a first surface, forming a pattern on the first surface, and forming a second lens layer over the pattern.
POLARIZER, POLARIZING PLATE, AND METHOD OF PRODUCING POLARIZER
There is provided a polarizer excellent in heat resistance. A polarizer according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a resin film containing iodine, wherein an end portion of the resin film has formed therein a high-concentration portion having a concentration of a substance that forms a counter ion of iodine higher than that of another portion.
OPTICAL EFFECT STRUCTURES
An optical coaling structure is provided that when applied to a surface of an object to imparts a colour to the object, the optical coating structure comprising: a base layer; a reflector on the base layer; and profile elements on the base layer under the reflector, the profile elements having a width and length which are each in the range of 5 to 500 nm in size, and being arranged in non-periodic manner or a periodic manner. The reflector may be a multilayer structure of alternating dielectric materials. A method of forming the optical coating structure is also provided.

Lens with color enhancement
Embodiments of the disclosure relate to the use of dyes that impart localized regions of reduced transmittance across specific wavelength ranges. The inclusion of transmittance-attenuating dyes into a lens provides enhanced color contrast by tuning the spectrum of visible light transmission through the lens.
Optical film and method of manufacturing the same, reflective liquid crystal display panel and display apparatus
An optical film includes a polarizer. The polarizer includes a base layer, and a material of the base layer is obtained by dyeing a base material with a dye. The base material includes a polyvinyl alcohol material, and the dye is selected from blue dichroism organic dyes.
Corrective Lens and Shield in Unitary Structure and Method
A unitary lens structure and method yielding a lens for eyewear formed to a unitary structure of a first lens portion and projecting portion adapted for grinding to a prescription lens. The unitary lens can include filtering material or layers only in the projecting portion or in both the projecting portion and first lens portion. Such structure is provided through forming the projecting portions to cured optical material first, and then positioning them in a mold for the first lens portion to be formed in the unitary structure upon curing of heated material forming the first lens portion.
FULL-FRAME ADHESIVE ANTI-FOG FILM STRUCTURE
The present invention is to provide a full-frame adhesive anti-fog film structure, comprising: an anti-fog film, which has a front side and a back side opposing the front side; and an adhesive, which is disposed at an edge of the back side and arranged along the edge so as to be frame-shaped. The anti-fog film of the present invention is attachable to a planar, cylindrical or spherical lens through the full frame-shaped adhesive so that not only can the anti-fog film be fully attached to the lens but the full attachment of film also prevents bubbles from forming between the two attached surfaces. Also, an airtight space is formed between the full-frame adhesive anti-fog film structure and the lens to stop heat transfer and prevent fog from being formed, so as to not only provide good vision to users but also reduce the chance that the user will fall prey to an accident if the user's view is blocked.
METHOD FOR PREPARING POLARIZING PLATE LOCALLY HAVING DEPOLARIZATION REGION, AND POLARIZING PLATE PREPARED BY USING SAME
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a polarizing plate, the method including: preparing a polarizing plate where a protection film is laminated on one surface of a polyvinyl alcohol-based polarizer dyed with at least one or more of iodine and dichromatic dyes; and forming a depolarization region having single transmittance of 80% or more at a wavelength band in a range of 400 nm to 800 nm by bringing a decoloring solution including 1 to 30 wt % of a decolorant into local contact with the other surface of the polarizer, and a polarizing plate manufactured by using the same.
