Method for manufacturing one-piece corrective eyewear
A method for manufacturing one-piece corrective eyewear. The method includes a first step wherein an item with essentially flat blank shape is formed by a 3D-printing process. The item encompasses two lens portions, a bridge portion, and two temple portions; or the two lens portions and the bridge portion. The method includes a second step wherein the item is deformed into a wearable shape. During the first step a frame portion surrounding the lens portions is formed as part of the blank shape.
DYE-DEPOSITED BASE BODY MANUFACTURING APPARATUS AND DYEING SYSTEM
A dye-deposited base body manufacturing apparatus manufactures a dye-deposited base body. The dye-deposited base body is used in a dyeing step of dyeing a resin body. A dye to be transferred to the resin body is deposited to a base body. The dye-deposited base body manufacturing apparatus is provided with a printing device, a conveyance device, and a base body movement device. The printing device prints a dye for dyeing the resin body on the base body. The conveyance device conveys a dyeing tray on which the dye-deposited resin body on which the dye is printed by the printing device is placed. The base body movement device moves the dye-deposited base body from a printing position by the printing device to a side of the conveyance device.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A SPECTACLE LENS
A method for manufacturing a spectacle lens having a lens substrate and at least one coating is disclosed. The method includes providing a lens substrate having an uncoated or precoated front surface and an uncoated or precoated back surface, applying at least one coating to at least one of the surfaces of the lens substrate, the surface of the at least one coating being modifiable when contacted with at least one medium able to modify the surface of the at least one coating, contacting the surface of the at least one coating, partially or completely, with the at least one medium, considering the individual peripheral refraction, obtaining the spectacle lens having the lens substrate and the at least one coating, the surface of the at least one coating being modified according to the individual peripheral refraction.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR INTRODUCING AN OPTICAL LENS INTO A TURNING DEVICE
An apparatus and a method for introducing an optical lens into a turning device are disclosed. The apparatus includes a carrier body and a carrier element for receiving the lens. The carrier element is arranged in the carrier body. The carrier element has a supporting surface for receiving the lens and is displaceably mounted in relation to the carrier body.
Stabilized Thin Lens
A thin ophthalmic lens stabilized through incorporation of flange around all or a portion of a perimeter of the thin lens.
Multifunctional printhead service station with multi-axis motions
Embodiments described herein relate to an inkjet service station and methods of servicing an inkjet printer with the inkjet service station. The inkjet service station is disposed in an inkjet printer of an inkjet chamber. The inkjet service station is operable to perform servicing operations on a processing apparatus of the inkjet printer. The servicing operations include at least one of printhead spitting, printhead purging, printhead flushing, printhead cleaning, printhead drying, or vacuum suction.
Cosmetic contact lens with reversible effects
A reversible eye enhancement contact lens comprises a main body comprising a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, the main body having a diameter, a base curve, a peripheral thickness, and a center thickness, wherein, one or more of the diameter, the base curve, the peripheral thickness, or the center thickness are configured such that a dSag is less than 1.3% when comparing a first orientation of the main body with at least a portion of the first surface abutting an eye of a wearer and a second orientation of the main body with at least a portion of the second surface abutting the eye of the wearer; the main body further comprising a first region corresponding to the scleral region of an eye; a second region corresponding to the limbal region of an eye; a third region corresponding to an iris region of an eye; wherein colorants are incorporated into the first region, the second region, the third region, or combinations thereof and configured to create a cosmetic design in the first orientation that is different than the cosmetic design in the second orientation. The cosmetic designs in the first and second orientations may differ in colorant, color, limbal design graphics, inner effect design graphics, outer effect design graphics, barrier layers, clear coat base layers, or combinations thereof. The colorants may comprise metal oxide pigments, coated metal oxide pigments, organic dyes, interference pigments, and combinations thereof.
Method for imparting an optical element with a light influencing property in a gradient pattern
A method for imparting an optical element with at least one light influencing property in a gradient pattern. The method includes (a) providing an optical substrate having first and second surfaces; (b) depositing a first composition over the first surface of the optical substrate so as to provide a first treated surface region and an untreated surface region, the first composition including a material which provides a light influencing property; (c) depositing a second composition over the optical substrate of (b) to provide a second treated surface region over the untreated surface region and over a portion of the first treated surface region to form a first overlap region; and (d) spinning the optical substrate of (c) thereby providing the optical element having a light influencing property in a gradient pattern.
