An apparatus for facilitating manufacturing an optical fiber connector termination is disclosed. The apparatus may include a resin dispenser configured for dispensing a resin and including a resin dispenser outlet configured to be coupled with a resin inlet of a molded part. Further, the apparatus may include a vacuum generator configured for generating a negative pressure. Further, the vacuum generator may include a vacuum generator outlet configured to be coupled to at least one vacuum outlet of the molded part. Further, the vacuum generator may be configured for generating the negative pressure utilizing electrical energy. Further, the apparatus may include a controller electrically coupled to each of the resin dispenser and the vacuum generator. Further, the controller may be configured for controlling operation of the resin dispenser and the vacuum generator. Further, controlling operation of the vacuum generator may be based on at least one characteristic of the resin.
Production method of pseudo freeform lenses for PSP systems
A method of producing freeform lenses for a PSP laser line system having a laser line diode and a set of three freeform lenses aligned along an optical alignment axis, the set of freeform lenses configured to yield a resultant laser line, the method including: (a) calculating lens surfaces for a lens form to fabricate a lens of the lens set therefrom; (b) fabricating a plurality of slices of the lens form, the plurality of slices distributed over a width SW of the lens, wherein each the slices has a width dimension SL; (c) aligning and constraining together the plurality of slices to fabricate the lens form, and molding a lens using the fabricated lens form; (d) repeating steps (a) to (c) to produce all three lenses of the set of lenses; and (e) integrating the produced lens set into the laser line system; the resultant laser line having a length L and a width W and a power uniformity evaluated along L.

Examples of the landing zone of the lens comprise a temporal radius, a nasal radius, a vertical radius, and an inferior radius each with respect to a common point, where at least one of the temporal radius, the nasal radius, the vertical radius, or the inferior radius is not equidistant from the common point with respect to a remainder of the from the common point with respect the a remainder of the temporal radius, the nasal radius, the vertical radius, and the inferior radius.

A method and apparatus for blocking an unfinished optical lens member on a blocker for manufacturing an optical lens from the unfinished optical lens member, the latter being provided with a finished surface having a first reference frame, the blocker having a second reference frame, includes: placing the unfinished optical lens member on the blocker; measuring the relative positioning of the first reference frame of the finished surface of the placed unfinished lens member with respect to the positioning of the second reference frame of the blocker; comparing the measured relative positioning with a predetermined relative positioning to determine a relative positioning shift; moving at least the blocker and/or the lens member to change the relative positioning of the first reference frame with respect to the second reference frame to compensate for the relative positioning shift; and blocking the unfinished lens member on the blocker at the changed relative positioning.
