METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CHECKING TYRES IN A PROCESS AND A PLANT FOR MAKING TYRES FOR VEHICLE WHEELS
An apparatus for checking tyres has at least one check unit at least two consecutively placed check stations defining a check path such that each check station is traversed in one cycle time and by pitches by each tyre to be checked. Each check station includes: a support device for one tyre at a time housed in the respective check station, high-definition image acquisition systems of a surface of the tyre, and movement devices. The high-definition image acquisition systems have systems for acquiring high-definition two-dimensional and three-dimensional images. Only one of the at least two check stations has all the high-definition three-dimensional image acquisition systems of the check unit.
Method and device for vulcanizing tires
A method and a device for vulcanizing tires. An expandable bellows is used for pressing the tire being vulcanized against segments of a mold. The bellows is arranged on a carrier which has an annular shape.
HYDRAULIC TIRE CURING PRESS APPARATUS AND A METHOD FOR ADJUSTING MOLD HEIGHT IN A HYDRAULIC TIRE CURING PRESS
A curing press for tires that comprises: an upper cavity part having a vertically separable upper housing (9) and a top mold (11); a base having a lower cavity part that forms an arrangement to provide mold height adjustment during curing. The base comprises a bottom bolster structure (20) and a bottom mold (22). The bottom bolster structure comprising: ring means rotatably arranged with said bottom bolster structure, to facilitate closing or opening of said top mold and said bottom mold; the bolster structure comprises squeeze cylinders (24) having means to provide mold height adjustment. A squeeze retract stop assembly is provided to restrict vertically downward movement of said bottom mold during a tire curing process. The press comprises at least one locking lever (34) and at least one indexing lock pin (35) that is adapted to connect said lever (34) to lock holes (20a) in said bottom bolster structure (20) wherein each lock hole corresponds to a particular mold height.
Apparatus for checking tyres having first and second check units
An apparatus for checking tyres is described. The apparatus has a first check unit having an inlet for tyres and a plurality of check tools. The apparatus also has a second check unit having an outlet for the tyres and a plurality of check tools. The apparatus further has an overturning and transport device operatively interposed between the first check unit and the second check unit. The first check unit, the second check unit and the overturning and transport device define a check path configured to be traversed by each tyre step by step. The first check unit and the second check unit have the same check tools configured for executing the same checks on respective axial halves of the tyres.
PROCESS AND APPARATUS FOR APPLYING NOISE-REDUCING ELEMENTS TO A TYRE FOR VEHICLE WHEELS
Process and an apparatus for applying noise-reducing elements to a tyre for vehicle wheels that has a radially inner surface with a service area and having a circumferential dimension. The process determines the position in circumferential direction of the service area on the radially inner surface of the tyre, determines the position in circumferential direction of a target area on the radially inner surface of the tyre based on the position in circumferential direction of the service area, and applies a noise-reducing element at the target area. The position in circumferential direction of the service area is determined by circumferentially inspecting the radially inner surface of the tyre starting from a reference position, detecting the angular position of the service area with respect to the reference position and determining the position in circumferential direction of the service area based on the angular position and on the circumferential dimension of the radially inner surface of the tyre.
Air Barrier Material Application Systems And Methods
A post-cure inflation machine for processing a tire may include a tire holder shaft. The tire holder shaft may include a chuck to secure the tire to the tire holder shaft. A hollow passage may be defined in the tire holder shaft. A spray nozzle may be connected to a spray shaft that is telescopically disposed in the hollow passage of the tire holder shaft. The spray nozzle may extend to spray an air barrier material onto the tire.
SYSTEM AND PROCESS FOR PICKING TIRES IN AN UNKNOWN ARRANGEMENT
A process for directing the movement of a robot (102) with a gripper (108) that picks a target tire (P*) from an arrangement of tires includes the following steps: providing a system (100) for picking one or more tires stored in the arrangement of tires, the robot forming part of this system; determining one or more parameters of the target tire in the arrangement of tires; determining the diameter of the target tire; determining the tire radius (R.sub.P) and the rim radius (R.sub.J) of the target tire; an approaching step whereby the robot approaches the target tire identified for picking; a picking step whereby the target tire is picked by the gripper; and extracting the target tire from the arrangement of tires in order to place it in a target location.
APPARATUS FOR CHECKING TYRES
An apparatus for checking tyres is described. The apparatus has a first check unit having an inlet for tyres and a plurality of check tools. The apparatus also has a second check unit having an outlet for the tyres and a plurality of check tools. The apparatus further has an overturning and transport device operatively interposed between the first check unit and the second check unit. The first check unit, the second check unit and the overturning and transport device define a check path configured to be traversed by each tyre step by step. The first check unit and the second check unit have the same check tools configured for executing the same checks on respective axial halves of the tyres.
Method and apparatus for checking tyres, in a process and in a plant for manufacturing tyres for vehicle wheels
An apparatus and a method for checking tires is described. The apparatus has a first check unit having an inlet for tires and a plurality of check tools. The apparatus has a second check unit having an outlet for the tires and a plurality of check tools. The apparatus has an overturning and transport device operatively interposed between the first check unit and the second check unit. The first check unit, the second check unit and the overturning and transport device define a check path configured to be traversed by each tire step by step.
