The present invention relates to a pneumatic tire comprising: a tread; one pair of shoulders respectively continued to both sides of the tread with the tread part as a center; one pair of sidewalls respectively continued to the shoulders; one pair of beads respectively continued to the sidewalls; a body ply formed on the inner sides of the tread, shoulders, sidewalls and beads; a belt and a cap ply part sequentially stacked between the inner side of the tread and the body ply; and an inner liner bonded to the inner side of the body ply, wherein in the inner liner, a sheet including a rubber component is positioned at the part of the body ply corresponding to the shoulders and the sidewalls, and a polymer film including a polyamide-based component is positioned at the part of the body ply corresponding to the tread.

MOLDED ARTICLE EXTRACTOR AND METHOD
20190143618 · 2019-05-16 · ·

A tire tread extractor used in the manufacture of treads includes a frame, a first nip roller rotatably associated with the frame, and a second nip roller rotatably associated with the frame. The first and second nip rollers are adapted to engage a tire tread at least partially resident in a mold. A driving mechanism associated with the first and/or second nip rollers operates to impart rotational motion thereto. The frame is configured for longitudinal movement along a substantial portion of a longitudinal length of the mold while maintaining the first and second nip rollers in a spaced relation to the mold.

RELEASE MECHANISM FOR A TIRE MOLD PLATE

A mechanism releases a plate from a recess in a tire mold part. The mechanism includes a bolt insertable into a hole in the tire mold part and extending from a first end at an outer surface of the tire mold part to a second end at a recess for a pocket plate in the tire mold part. The first end of the bolt has an axially extending projection allowing manipulation of the bolt about an axis within the hole. The projection is defined by two diametrically opposite curved surfaces interconnected by two diametrically opposite planar surfaces.

PNEUMATIC TIRE WITH NOISE DAMPER

A tire comprising a circumferential tread having an outer tread surface and an inner innerliner surface; at least two spaced-apart beads; sidewall portions extending between the tread and the beads; and a belt-like foam noise damper having first and second terminal ends, wherein the noise damper lines said innerliner surface; wherein the noise damper is adhesively secured to the innerliner surface, and wherein the terminal ends of the noise damper are cut at an angle of less than 90 degrees, overlap each other, and the overlapped second terminal end of the foam is joined to the first terminal end by the adhesive present underneath the second terminal end.

Pneumatic tire

The present technology provides a pneumatic tire having a mechanical fastener member for attaching an object with specific functionality to an inner surface of the pneumatic tire, particularly, a pneumatic tire such that, as the pneumatic tire rolls, the object with the specific function attached by the mechanical fastener member can be effectively prevented from executing rotating motion about the mechanical fastener member as a rotation central axis. The pneumatic tire of the present technology has a first member of a mechanical fastener separable into two members, disposed on the tire inner surface. On the tire inner surface around the mechanical fastener member, a recessed flat surface region is formed as a recessed portion having a step from peripheral portions of the recessed portion.

PNEUMATIC TIRE WITH NOISE DAMPER

A pneumatic tire is provided with a noise damper made of a sponge material attached to a radially inner surface of the tread portion. The noise damper has protruding portions protruding from a radially inner surface of a band-shaped base portion. The protruding portions extend from one edge to the other edge of the base portion in the widthwise direction, and arranged at intervals in the tire circumferential direction. In a cross section of the tire parallel with the tire equatorial plane, the radially inner surface of each of the protruding portions includes a flat portion, and the radially inner surface of the base portion includes an arc portion parallel with the inner surface of the tread portion.

A strip of a thermoplastic elastomer to be wound spirally on a cylindrical drum for forming an inner liner for a tire having a shape close to a finished sectional shape is provided. The strip is formed of composite layers of (A) a first layer made of a styrene-isobutylene-styrene triblock copolymer and (B) a second layer containing at least one of a styrene-isoprene-styrene triblock copolymer and a styrene-isobutylene diblock copolymer. The strip further has a strip main body and ear portions arranged on opposite sides thereof. The strip main body has a thickness (T1) of 0.05 mm to 1.0 mm. The ear portions have a thickness (T2) thinner than the thickness (T1) of the strip main body and a width (W2) of 0.5 mm to 5.0 mm. This ribbon-shaped strip reduces unevenness of the surface of a sheet formed by the opposite ends of the strip when manufacturing an inner liner.

Methods for treating inner liner surface, inner liners resulting therefrom and tires containing such inner liners

Methods for treating the surface of a cured inner liner are disclosed. By use of these methods a treated, cured inner liner is produced which has a lower surface with increased adherability to other materials (e.g., adhesives). Treated, cured inner liners resulting from such methods as well as tires containing the treated inner liners.
