Composite foam article
A composite foam article is disclosed herein. The composite foam article comprises a polyurethane foam core presenting a first surface and a second surface facing opposite the first surface. A first skin is disposed on the first surface and a second skin is disposed on the second surface. The polyurethane foam core has a density of 15-80 kg/m.sup.3. The first and second skins comprise a plurality of fibers and a polymeric binder. The composite foam article has a weight per unit area of 500-1000 g/m.sup.2 and a strength of greater than 17 N at a post-compression thickness of greater than 2 mm when tested in according with SAE J949 at 23 C.
NON-POROUS, BREATHABLE AND WATERPROOF TRANSPARENT PLASTIC FILM AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
The present invention provides a non-porous, breathable and waterproof transparent plastic film on a plastic substrate and methods for fabricating the same. The film includes a thermoplastic polyester resin, an amphiphilic modifier having a hydrophilic segment that acts as a channel for water vapor transmission through the film connected to a hydrophobic segment that anchors the amphiphilic modifier to a portion of the polyurethane base resin and a compatibilizer. The resultant non-porous, breathable and waterproof transparent plastic film has a water vapor transmission rate (WVTR) or breathability of not less than 250 g/m.sup.2/24 hr according to ASTM E96B, and having at least 90% of the transmittance. They are also resistant to liquid penetration and micro-contaminants such as bacteria and virus, making them suitable for broad applications in medical, healthcare and food packaging industries.
POLYPROPYLENE FOR EXTRUSION ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING
A process for producing articles with an extrusion-based additive manufacturing system using a consumable filament made from or containing a propylene polymer composition made from or containing: A) from 20% to 60% by weight of a heterophasic propylene copolymer; B) from 5% to 33% by weight of a propylene homopolymer or copolymer, wherein the copolymer contains up to 5% by weight of an alpha olefin; C) from 2% to 15% by weight of an elastomeric block copolymer made from or containing styrene; D) from 4% to 32% by weight of an elastomeric ethylene copolymer; E) from 5% to 50% by weight of a glass material as filler; and F) from 0.1% to 5% by weight of compatibilizer.

HOLLOW EXTRUSION-MOLDED BODY, CROSSLINKED BODY THEREOF, HEAT-SHRINKABLE TUBE, AND MULTILAYERED HEAT-SHRINKABLE TUBE
A hollow extrusion-molded body includes a resin composition that contains a base resin composed of an ethylene-ethyl acrylate copolymer or an ethylene-ethyl acrylate copolymer and a linear low-density polyethylene, a brominated flame retardant, antimony trioxide, and magnesium hydroxide having an average particle size of 0.5 m to 3.0 m. In the hollow extrusion-molded body, a composition ratio of the ethylene-ethyl acrylate copolymer to the linear low-density polyethylene, a content of the brominated flame retardant, a content of the antimony trioxide, and a content of the magnesium hydroxide are within specific ranges.
Flexible container with fitment and process for producing same
A flexible container is provided. The flexible container includes four panels. The four panels form (i) a body portion; (ii) a neck portion, and a flare portion that extends from the neck portion; (iii) a tapered transition portion between the body portion and the neck portion; and (iv) the neck portion has a reduced width. The flare portion has an expanded end. The width of the flare portion gradually increases from the neck portion to the expanded end.
