CONTROL METHODS FOR ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING SYSTEM
A method is disclosed for controlling an additive manufacturing system. The method may include causing a head to discharge composite material along a first trajectory, and activating a cure enhancer to at least partially cure composite material discharging from the head along the first trajectory. The method may also include selectively deactivating the cure enhancer as the head nears a corner location, moving the head to a second trajectory after the head reaches the corner location, and reactivating the cure enhancer after moving the head to the second trajectory.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A MATERIAL WEB, USE THEREOF AS A REINFORCING PLY FOR AN ELASTOMER ITEM, AND VEHICLE PNEUMATIC TIRES
The invention is directed to a vehicle pneumatic tire wherein strengthening plies are provided with steel cords running parallel to one another. The belt plies can be used, as isolated electrically conductive plates, for supplying electricity to electrical consumers such as sensors and actuators installed in the tire. Adjacent belt plies can be connected by puncture sensors to be able to identify damage to the belt caused by metallic parts penetrating from the outside, such as nails, on the basis of a change in the electrical resistance.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A FIBER-PLASTICS-COMPOSITE TOOL COMPONENT AND FIBER-PLASTICS-COMPOSITE TOOL COMPONENT
The present invention relates to a method for producing a fiber-plastics-composite tool component (1) having a matrix system (6) that has embedded fibers, PBO fibers (4) being selected as the fiber component and a thermosetting plastics matrix (8) being used as the matrix component of the matrix system (6) (S1), which thermosetting plastics matrix has such adhesion to the PBO fibers (4) in the hardened fiber-plastics composite (2) that the coefficient of thermal expansion of the PBO fibers (4) is imparted to the matrix system (6). The invention also relates to a load-bearing tool component (1) of a chip-removing tool in the design of a fiber-plastics-composite press-molded part, the load-bearing tool component (1) comprising a matrix system (6) that has a thermosetting matrix component (8) and comprising PBO fibers (4) embedded into said thermosetting matrix component.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTINUOUS COMPOSITE THREE-DIMENSIONAL PRINTING
A method and apparatus for the additive manufacturing of three-dimensional objects are disclosed. Two or more materials are extruded simultaneously as a composite, with at least one material in liquid form and at least one material in a solid continuous strand completely encased within the liquid material. A means of curing the liquid material after extrusion hardens the composite. A part is constructed using a series of extruded composite paths. The strand material within the composite contains specific chemical, mechanical, or electrical characteristics that instill the object with enhanced capabilities not possible with only one material.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PRINTING AND CURING THERMOSET RESIN
Various implementations include a method of printing and curing of thermoset resin. The method includes outputting a thermoset resin from an outlet of a feeder and directing a stimulus from a stimulation source toward a portion of the output thermoset resin that is downstream from the outlet of the feeder. The stimulus is configured to heat the portion of the output thermoset resin to fully cure the portion of the output thermoset resin.
Or relating to three dimensional mouldings
The invention relates to a blank for compression moulding a part in a compression mould comprising one or more moulding recesses, said blank comprising a body formed from a first moulding compound comprising a fibrous reinforcement material and a thermo-curable resin material, and a region located on the surface of the body formed from a second moulding compound; said second moulding compound comprising a fibrous reinforcement material and a thermo-curable resin material, and exhibiting increased flow at one or more temperatures between 20° C. and the cured Tg of the first moulding compound compared to the flow of the first moulding compound at the same temperature.
SEAT SUPPORT ELEMENT, SEAT AND ASSOCIATED MANUFACTURING METHOD
A seat support element has a body that includes at least one portion having a plurality of discrete structural elements and a plurality of connecting fibers, the discrete structural elements being joined together via the connecting fibers to form the portion of the body.
Method for the production of plastic moulded parts
A method is described for producing fibre-reinforced plastic moulded parts, wherein endless fibre strands are fed by a fibre braking device and/or cut fibres via a gravimetric metering device, and a plastic material to be melted, by a volumetric metering device are fed to a single-screw plasticizing unit. Plastic material which is molten and is mixed with fibre material is injected into a moulding tool by an injection stroke of the plasticizing screw. According to the application, the ACTUAL mass flow of the plastic material is calculated from the ACTUAL volume flow of the plastic material and from the ACTUAL mass flow of the fibre material. The ACTUAL mass flow of the plastic material is compared to a TARGET mass flow of the plastic material, and the rotation speed n.sub.d of the rotary drive of the metering element of the metering device is adapted.
Method for preparation of a moulded composite from a bulk moulding compound
A bulk moulding compound comprising one or more cyanate ester, a catalyst, a filler and reinforcement fibres is provide, whereby the one or more cyanate ester is independently selected from a difunctional cyanate ester compound and/or a polyfunctional cyanate ester and mixtures of these cyanate esters. Furthermore, the catalyst is independently selected from the group consisting of 4,4′ methylene-bis(2,6-diethylaniline) (M-DEA), 4,4′-methylene-bis(3-chloro-2,6-diethyl¬aniline) (M-CDEA), aluminum(III)acetylacetonate, and mixtures thereof.
SYNTHETIC METAL SYSTEM
A synthetic metal system comprising a frame member comprising a cellular structure including a plurality of openings; and a matrix material comprising a polymeric material, wherein the matrix material is configured to at least partially penetrate one or more of the plurality of openings in the frame member such that the frame member is at least partially encased within the matrix material.
