PROCESS FOR PREPARING A POLYOLEFIN COMPOSITION
A process for continuously preparing a polyolefin composition made from or containing a bimodal or multimodal polyolefin and one or more additives in an extruder device equipped with at least one hopper. The process includes the steps of supplying a bimodal or multimodal polyolefin in form of a polyolefin powder to the hopper; (a) measuring the flow rate of the polyolefin powder or (b) measuring the flow rate of the prepared polyolefin pellets; supplying one or more additives to the hopper; adjusting the flow rates of the additives supplied to the hopper in response to the measured flow rate of the polyolefin powder or adjusting the flow rate of the polyolefin powder in response to the measured flow rate of the polyolefin pellets; melting and homogenizing the polyolefin powder and additives within the extruder device; and pelletizing the molten polyolefin composition into the polyolefin pellets.

A method includes injection molding a preform using a two phase injection system having a first phase in which a material is injected into the preform and a second phase in which the material is injected into the preform. The preform is disposed in a mold. The preform is blow molded into an intermediate article. The intermediate article is trimmed to form a finished container. The first phase includes injecting a material into the preform to form a single layer of the preform and the second phase includes injecting the material to form inner and outer layers and an intermediate layer between the inner and outer layers. The inner and outer layers include the material and the intermediate layer includes at least one additive. Finished containers are disclosed.

That part includes an integral body having a structural plastic layer, a decorative face formed from an in-mold-decoration or IMD and an IMD-compatible plastic layer bridging between the structural plastic layer and the IMD. ECO-FRIENDLY FILAMENT USING BIOMASS AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
Provided is an eco-friendly filament using a biomass manufactured by extruding a bioplastic pellet which is formed from a bioplastic pellet composition including mixed particles including a coffee byproduct with a fatty acid content of 0.01 to 2.5 wt % or less and inorganic particles and having a size of 50 μm or less; an additive; and a plastic raw material. The inorganic particles are one or more selected from the group consisting of calcium carbonate, silica, starch, alumina, titanium dioxide, talc, kaolin, mica, sericite, zinc oxide, barium carbonate, barium sulfate, diatomaceous earth, magnesium carbonate, magnesium silicate, boron nitride, alumina, zirconium oxide, iron oxide and mica titanium. The additive is one or more selected from the group consisting of an amide-based active compound, copolyamide, ethyl methane sulfonate (EMS), ethylene bis stearamide (EBS), and D-sorbitol.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING COMPOSITE PART OF POLYMER AND METAL
A method for manufacturing a composite part of polymer and metal utilizes a mold having a plurality of mold parts and forming a layer of metal on at least one inner or cavity-facing surface of the mold. Thereafter the mold parts are assembled to one another to form a mold cavity defined in part by the layer of metal. The mold cavity is then filled with resin material so that the resin material is in contact with the layer of metal. A curing or hardening of the resin material in the mold cavity is followed by an opening of the mold and the removal of a composite part having a metal shell or outer layer and a polymeric backing or inner layer.

The deck may be constructed in one configuration where each of the dual-sided deck planks has the distressed surface facing upward and exposed.
