Methods and systems for inkjet printing on co-curable paint film
Methods for placing an indicia on a composite structure generally include printing the indicia on a first film surface of a coating film, with the coating film being in a partially cured state at the time the printing the indicia is performed, and positioning the coating film on a partially cured composite structure such that a second film surface of the coating film faces and is positioned against a surface of the composite structure, with the second film surface being opposite the first film surface. Finally, the coating film and the composite structure may then be co-cured. Systems for printing an indicia on a composite structure generally include the coating film, a printer configured to print the indicia on the first film surface of the coating film, a securement configured to secure the coating film during printing, and a curing device for co-curing the coating film and the composite structure.
Method for Renovating the Interior of a Hollow Structure
A method for renovating the interior of a hollow structure such as a sewerage pit (1) is described. The method provides an access opening (16) to the hollow structure (1); provides a plurality of material sheets (3) comprising reinforcing fibers and a curable resin composition through the access opening (16) and against a wall (11a, 11b) of the hollow structure (1); and provides an inflatable pressure means (4a, 4b) within the hollow structure (1). The pressure means (4a, 4b) are inflated against the wall (11a, 11b). A curing means (6) is then provided within the hollow structure (1) for curing the resin composition; and the resin composition is cured to harden the material sheets and provide a renovated interior of the hollow structure (1).
Apparatus and method for draping knitted fiber fabrics for curved profiled structural parts of fiber composite material
An apparatus for draping knitted fiber fabrics for curved profiled structural parts of fiber composite material includes a mold having a mold surface that corresponds to a portion of the desired profile geometry and curvature of the profiled structural part, a clamping device for tensioning a layer of a knitted fiber fabric along a tensioning line in a prestressed state, and a movement device for producing a relative movement between the mold and the clamped-in fabric layer such that the mold surface moves close to the fabric layer in a direction perpendicular to the tensioning line and, in the further course of the relative movement, pushes through the tensioning line such that the fabric layer completely covers the mold surface. The clamping device is equipped to load the fabric layer during the entire draping operation with a tensile force acting along the tensioning line.
PARTIAL CURING OF THERMOSET COMPOSITES
Composite laminate structures are produced using partially cured parts. Partial curing of the parts is achieved by applying a catalyst to regions of the parts that are to be fully cured. These regions cure at a lower-than-normal temperature while remaining regions of the part remain uncured, allowing them to be co-bonded or co-cured to other structures.
IMPRINTING METHOD
An imprinting method, which includes following steps. A workpiece is conveyed to a working region by a first conveyer unit. The workpiece is imprinted in the working region through an imprinting segment of a flexible imprinting mold film. The flexible imprinting mold film is driven by a driving roller set, such that at least another one of the imprinting segments of the flexible imprinting mold film rolled around the driving roller set is expanded from the driving roller set and moved to the working region.
Vulcanization of dip-molded rubber articles with reduced molten media bath times
Pore-free rubber articles are prepared by dip-molding in a dipping medium that includes a vulcanizing agent, then partially-cured by immersing the dip former in a heated liquid bath that is chemically inert. A particularly effective liquid bath is a molten, nitrite free inorganic salt. The partially-cured rubber is then maintained at a desired curing temperature in a low/no oxygen heating oven to complete curing. Alternatively, upon removal from the molten salt bath, the latex film is quenched.
Imprinting apparatus and imprinting method
An imprinting apparatus includes a first conveyer unit, a flexible imprinting mold film and a driving roller set. The first conveyer is adapted to convey a workpiece to a working region of the imprinting apparatus. The flexible imprinting mold film has imprinting segments. At least one of the imprinting segments is located in the working region. The workpiece is adapted to be imprinted in the working region through the corresponding imprinting segment. The flexible imprinting mold film is partially rolled around the driving roller set, the imprinting segment located in the working region is expanded from the driving roller set, and the driving roller set is adapted to drive the flexible imprinting mold film, such that at least another one of the imprinting segments rolled around the driving roller set is expanded from the driving roller set and moved to the working region. Besides, an imprinting method is also provided.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A ONE-PIECE REINFORCED STRUCTURE AND OBTAINED STRUCTURE
A method for manufacturing a one-piece reinforced structure and obtained structure is provided, the method using base components made of partially-cured composite material and joining the base components together, applying a coating made of composite material on the base components, and applying heat on the assembly formed by the base components covered with the coating until a complete curing of the assembly is obtained, such that a one-piece reinforced structure made of composite material is obtained formed by the coating and the base components adhered to the coating, wherein the base components that form part of the very manufactured structure act as a mould during the manufacturing process, thus preventing the need to use moulds on which the composite material is deposited that must be subsequently removed from the final obtained structure.
METHOD FOR MOLDING COMPOSITE MATERIALS
A molding method is provided for molding composite materials. The molding method molds a stack of composite materials formed by impregnating a base material with resin. The molding method includes providing a first resin with a photocuring property and providing a second resin with a thermosetting property. The first resin contained in a first composite material is cured by irradiating the first composite material with light, then the second resin is cured by heating the second resin contained in a second composite material. The curing of the first resin contained in the first composite material is completed before starting the curing of the second resin contained the second composite material that is adjacent to the first composite material of a surface layer.
