A method for receiving and ejecting molded articles includes: (a) drawing air from a cooling tube cavity into an air channel through a plate bore to draw at least a portion of a molded article into the cavity; (b) moving a valve within the plate bore from a first position for conducting air from the cavity to the air channel to a second position for reducing air flow through the plate bore relative to the first position; and (c) when the valve is in the second position, urging pressurized air from the air channel to the cavity through the plate bore to assist ejection of the molded article from the cavity.

In this process, the process gas, before entering a catalyst vessel (14), is passed through a protective bed (11) containing a solid adsorbent material that removes high-boiling organic substances or organic substances, with a high combustion temperature, from the process gas stream.

A material system may include: an aluminum layer; a glass composite layer adjacent to the first aluminum layer; and a carbon composite layer adjacent to the first glass composite layer, and opposite to the first aluminum layer. A method of manufacturing a material system may include: stacking an aluminum layer, glass composite layer that may include thermoplastic prepreg plies, and carbon composite layer so that the aluminum layer is adjacent to the glass composite layer, and the glass composite layer is adjacent to the carbon composite layer; and consolidating the thermoplastic prepreg plies to soften the aluminum layer. A method of manufacturing a material system may include: stacking an aluminum layer, glass composite layer that comprises thermoplastic resin, and carbon composite layer so that the glass composite layer is between the aluminum and carbon composite layers; and adjusting temperature and pressure to consolidate the stack.
STRENGTHENED THIN GLASS-POLYMER LAMINATES
A glass-polymer laminate structure includes a flexible glass substrate having a thickness of no more than about 0.3 mm. A polymer layer is laminated to a surface of the flexible glass substrate having a coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) that is at least about 2 times a CTE of the flexible glass substrate. The polymer layer is laminated to the surface of the flexible glass substrate after thermally expanding the polymer layer to provide the flexible glass substrate with an in-plane compressive stress of at least about 30 MPa along a thickness of the flexible glass substrate.

An injection molding device (1) for producing plastic parts (2) consisting of one or more material components is provided. The injection molding device (1) comprises an injection mold (3) having a center part (5) that is rotatable about a first axis of rotation (4), which center part is arranged between a first and a second mold half and which can be moved relative to said mold halves in a first direction. The center part (5) has cavities (7) on the lateral surfaces (6). A retaining device (10) is used to retain the center part (5) in the injection molding device (1). A transfer device (16) is arranged laterally next to the center part (5) at least in an open position and is used to transfer plastic parts (2) into a storage means (28).

Disclosed herein, amongst other things, is, a stripper assembly operable to eject a molded article from a mold that includes slides that are movable laterally relative to each, a first split mold insert inter-connected to a first slide and a second split mold insert inter-connected to a second slide. The system being operable such that when the first and second slides are in the closed position, the first and second split mold inserts form at least a portion of the molding cavity; the system being operable such that such during operation of the injection molding system, the first split mold insert is movable relative to the respective first slide and the second split mold insert being movable relative to the second slide.
