RODENT, WORM AND INSECT RESISTANT IRRIGATION PIPE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
An irrigation tube having outlets extending along the length of the tube in a spaced relationship and finely-divided silica or iron oxide particles dispersed in the tube thereby increasing a surface hardness of the tube to deter rodent, worm or insect damage, the silica particles further can include an odor repellant located within the particles.
SURFACE MODIFIED PARTICULATE AND SINTERED OR INJECTION MOLDED PRODUCTS
Disclosed are interfacially modified particulate and polymer composite material for use in injection molding processes, such as metal injection molding and additive process such as 3D printing. The composite material is uniquely adapted for powder metallurgy processes. Improved products are provided under process conditions through surface modified powders that are produced by extrusion, injection molding, additive processes such as 3D printing, Press and Sinter, or rapid prototyping.
Method of sealing containers and lids by melt adhesion by laser
A method of sealing a container and a lid by melt adhesion by laser. Either the container or the lid has a thermoplastic resin that permits the laser beam to transmit through and the other one has a resin composition of the thermoplastic resin containing a heat-generating substance. Further, the laser beam applies a rectangular beam having a uniform intensity distribution. The upper-limit of temperature is not lower than a melting point of the thermoplastic resin but lower than a thermal decomposition start temperature thereof in the melt adhesion interface between the container and the lid, and the temperature reaches the upper-limit in a heating time t (msec) represented by the following formula (1),
t (msec)=L/S(1)
where L is the length (mm) of the rectangular beam in the scanning direction, and S is the rate of laser scanning (mm/msec) of not higher than 1.65 mm/msec.
SOFT BISTABLE MAGNETIC ACTUATOR, FATIGUE TESTING DEVICE AND AUTO UNDERWATER VEHICLE
Disclosed are a soft bistable magnetic actuator, a fatigue testing device, and an auto underwater vehicle. The soft bistable magnetic actuator includes a soft precursor. The soft precursor consisting of a soft deformable portion and a soft peripheral portion surrounded. The soft precursor is cast by injection molding, and the soft deformable portion is made of magnetic particles and polymer, and the soft peripheral portion is made of magnetic particles, a mixture of organic liquid and polymer, and the soft deformable portion is buckled by extracting the organic liquid by an organic solvent to shrink the soft peripheral portion.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A MULTILAYERED MAGNET
In a method for producing a multilayered magnet with a plurality of first layers and a plurality of second insulating layers which follow one another alternately, material having magnetic material and a binder is applied by injection molding to a base plate to form a first layer of a green body at a thickness of at least 1.5 mm and at most 4 mm. Further material is applied by injection molding to form a second insulating layer of the green body adjacent to the first layer at a thickness of at least 0.01 mm and at most 0.1 mm, with the further material being an electrically poorly conducting material with an electrical conductivity which is between 1.Math.10.sup.8 and 1.Math.10.sup.14 S/m; and/or the second insulating layer is formed by oxidizing a surface of the first layer through application of an oxidizing agent; and/or by applying the binder by injection molding.
ELECTROMAGNETIC SENSITIVE EPOXY/RESIN SYSTEM FOR ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING APPLICATIONS
A method, material composition and apparatus for forming a three-dimensional structure using single part epoxy resins via electromagnetic induction heating. The method includes making a base matrix phase containing an epoxy resin and a latent curing agent with magneto-sensitive particles to obtain an electromagnetic (EM) phase. The mixture is transferred to a molding vessel having an electromagnetic induction heater positioned a first distance away from a top surface of the EM resin system and cured with the electromagnetic induction heater to form a three-dimensional structure.
Method for granting to organic polymers the possibility of being detected
The present invention relates to a novel method for conferring to thermoplastic, thermostable polymers or elastomers, magnetic, electromagnetic, electrical, X-ray shielding or density properties that allow the detection of said polymers by means of specific equipment that exists in the prior art. The detection of the thermoplastic polymers, thermostable polymers or elastomers in turn facilitates their location, removal or separation. The method is based on the addition of specific iron and silicon alloys with or without surface treatment.
Urethane foam-molded article and method for producing same
A urethane foam-molded article has a base material made of polyurethane foam and composite particles that are included and oriented in the base material. The composite particles have thermally conductive particles that are made of a non-magnetic material and have a thermal conductivity of 200 W/m.Math.K or higher and magnetic particles attached to the surfaces of the thermally conductive particles with a binder and are surface-treated with one or more surfactants selected from a carboxylic acid-type surfactant and a succinic acid-type surfactant.
Method for manufacturing molding die, and molding die
A method for manufacturing a molding die used with an injection molder, the method including plasticizing a creating material containing metal particles and resin to produce a plasticized material, and dispensing the plasticized material toward a stage to stack layers on each other to create a laminate that forms at least a portion of the molding die, with an average particle diameter D.sub.50 of the metal particles being smaller than or equal to 23 m.
