Tubular conduit
A tubular conduit comprising: a tubular portion made from a flexible material. There is an external helical formation extending around the exterior of, and parallel to the axis of, the tubular portion and defining a first region of the tubular portion. The external helical formation is for supporting the tubular portion. There is also an internal helical formation, protruding inwardly of the interior of the tubular portion and extending parallel to the axis of the tubular portion and defining a second region of the tubular portion. The internal helical formation is for imparting helical flow on fluid passing through the tubular portion. The first region does not extend throughout the second region.
Wind turbine blade repair method
A repair solution for a wind turbine blade is described. The repair solution includes the application of a layer of viscous coating material to the section of the blade to be repaired, which is cured to form a repaired surface. The layer of viscous coating material may be temporarily covered during the curing process using a film of Low Surface Energy material, to prevent defects in the repaired surface from dust, insects, etc. Additionally or alternatively, a temporary shield may be erected adjacent the curing layer of coating material, to allow for the control of the temperature and/or humidity levels of the region adjacent the curing material, to provide for more effective control of the curing process and to allow for repairs to be carried out for a wider process window.
Method of assembling a positioning sensor and associated wiring on a medical tool
An elongate medical device having an axis comprises an inner liner, a jacket radially outward of the liner, a braid comprising metal embedded in the jacket, a sensor, and at least one wire electrically connected to said sensor. The at least one wire is one of: embedded in the jacket and optionally disposed helically around the braid; extending longitudinally within a tube which extends generally parallel to the device axis and wherein the tube is embedded in the jacket; and disposed within a lumen, wherein the lumen extends longitudinally within the jacket.
FLOW RATE MEASURING DEVICE
The present disclosure provides a flow rate measuring device including a first chip, a second chip, and a holding body. The first chip and the second chip are disposed in an intake passage of an internal combustion engine. The first and second chips detect at least one of a flow rate of an intake air and a parameter other than the flow rate. The holding body holds the second chip and protrudes into an inside of the intake passage. The second chip is exposed inside of the intake passage in a state where the second chip is covered by a filter. The holding body includes a resin portion that forms a surface of the holding body. The portion of the filter is inserted into the resin portion. The recessed portion is recessed from a surface of the resin portion. A portion of a first surface of the filter defines a bottom of the recessed portion. The second chip is positioned on a side of a second surface of the filter that is opposite to the first surface.
Heater assembly
A method of fabricating a thin film heater includes providing a heating element supported on a surface of a flexible dielectric backing film; and attaching a layer of heat shrink film onto the surface of the dielectric backing film so as to at least partially enclose the heating element between the heat shrink film and the dielectric backing film. The method provides a much more precise and consistent method of assembling the heater assembly and improves the thermal properties and heat transfer to a heating chamber.
GAS-PERMEABLE MEMBER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
A gas-permeable porous fluororesin membrane (4) made of a fluororesin is welded to a resin component (2) made of a thermoplastic resin using a welding horn (62) having a working surface (62p) adapted to be brought into contact with a work object and provided with a projection (62t). The working surface (62p) of the welding horn (62) is provided with, for example, a plurality of projections (62t). The plurality of projections (62t) may be arranged in a grid pattern on the working surface (62p).
MICROWAVE BONDING OF EVA AND RUBBER ITEMS
Aspects of the present invention relate to systems and methods for customizing microwave energy distribution within a chamber to accommodate various load characteristics. Aspects of the present invention customized configurations of ports, deflectors, waveguides, conducting rods, and slots to shape and distribute energy.
MEDICAL SYRINGE, GASKET FOR USE IN THE SYRINGE, AND GASKET PRODUCTION METHOD
A gasket (13) for use in a medical syringe is provided, which includes a main body (14) made of an elastic material, and a lamination film (15) provided on a surface of the main body (14). The gasket (13) has a circumferential surface portion (17) to be kept in contact with an inner peripheral surface of a syringe barrel (11) of the syringe. The gasket (13) has a groove (22) provided in the circumferential surface portion (17) thereof as extending circumferentially thereof. The groove (22) has a depth of not less than 0.8D (m), preferably not less than D (m), wherein D (m) is the thickness of a portion of the lamination film (15) present in the circumferential surface portion (17) of the gasket (13).
Apparatus and Method for Sealing Pouch-Type Secondary Battery
The present invention is to provide an apparatus and method for sealing a pouch-type secondary battery.
FIBER-REINFORCED POLYMER BATTERY ENCLOSURES, COMPOSITE COMPONENTS, AND METHODS WITH INTEGRATED POLYMER SEALS
Presented are fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) composite components with integrated polymer parts, methods for making/using such FRP composite components, and vehicles equipped with battery packs sealed inside FRP battery enclosures by integrated elastomeric seals. An FRP composite component, such as a rigid battery tray basin, includes a component body that is formed with a polymer matrix material, such as a fast-curing epoxy resin. A fiber preform, such as a multiaxial-fiber fabric sheet, is encapsulated within the component body and formed with a cluster of fibers bound together in a predefined formation. A polymer seal, such as an elastomeric bulb seal, includes a seal head and a mounting base. The seal's mounting base is stitched to the fiber preform and at least partially encapsulated within the component body. The seal head protrudes from the fiber preform and extends through an aperture in the component body.
