Furthermore, the invention relates to method for manufacturing a tub for a humidifier.
Process and apparatus for the manufacturing of a figure-of-eight cable
It is disclosed a process and an apparatus for manufacturing a figure of eight cable. An extrusion head has separate extrusion dies extruding in parallel a first and second outer sheath around a first and second core, respectively, so as to provide two separate cable elements having respective longitudinal axes laying in a first plane. While the outer sheaths are in a softened state, the cable elements are passed in parallel through a twisting die which causes their longitudinal axes to lay in a second plane forming a predetermined twisting angle with respect to the first plane. This twisting causes the outer sheaths to join together, thereby forming a figure of eight cable.
Belt with self-extinguishing layer and method of making
A belt for an elevator system includes a plurality of tension members arranged along a belt width and extending longitudinally along a length of the belt and a jacket at least partially enclosing the plurality of tension members. The jacket defining a traction side of the belt configured to interface with a traction sheave of an elevator system. The jacket includes a base material layer, and a coating layer positioned over the base material layer formed from a self-extinguishing fluoroelastomer material. A method of forming a belt for an elevator system includes forming a plurality of tension members and encapsulating the plurality of tension members in a jacket. The jacket includes a base material layer and a coating layer formed from the self-extinguishing fluoroelastomer material.
Manufacturing method of stacked core
The manufacturing method of a motor core includes attaching an ID code to a stack of blanked members in which a magnet insertion hole to fill with a resin material is formed, the ID code containing information in accordance with a type of the stack, reading the information from the ID code which is attached to the stack, and setting a mold condition based on the information read from the ID code. The mold condition includes at least one type of condition including: the resin material to be injected to the magnet insertion hole, an injection amount of the resin material, and a discharge position of the resin material. A mold device is controlled to inject the resin material to the magnet insertion hole in accordance with the mold condition.
Composite materials having embedded metal cables or ropes for increased dampening capacity and methods of manufacturing same
A method and system for increasing dampening capacity utilizing dry friction between individual wires of a rope embedded in a molded component formed from a composite. The individual wires allow inter-wire friction to occur during part vibration. The amount of inter-wire friction is controlled by the pressure when the component is molded. The component includes a body that is a molded matrix formed form a composite material. The body may be of any material selected from the group consisting of a polymer, a metal or a ceramic material. One or more vibration-dampening ropes are embedded in the body. The vibration-dampening ropes may be elongated segments or may be a rope having connected ends that form one or more rings. The vibration-dampening rope includes at least outer wires and can further include a plurality of inner wires surrounded by the outer wires. Composite material is prevented from passing through the outer wires, thereby forming voids between the wires.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A SANDWICH PANEL FOR A VEHICLE AND A SANDWICH PANEL FOR A VEHICLE
A method for manufacturing a sandwich panel for a vehicle includes: etching a sheet, which etches one surface of a metal sheet; pressing the sheet, which forms a pattern of a specific shape on the one surface of the metal sheet; laminating a pair of the metal sheets; and performing injection-molding by injecting a plastic resin into the laminated pair of the metal sheets. The method may improve the bonding performance of the sandwich panel, thereby improving the degree of freedom of shape due to the press-molding.
POLYMER METAL HYBRID LAMINATES
Provided herein is a polymer metal hybrid (PMH) laminate comprising a metal layer A; at least one adhesive layer B in direct contact with metal layer A; and a surface layer C comprising at least one polyamide. In the PMH laminate, adhesive layer B comprises epoxy functionality and does not comprise an epoxy curing agent; and surface layer C is a monolayer, bilayer, or multilayer film. Further provided are methods of producing the PMH laminates, overmolded PMH laminates, methods of producing the overmolded PMH laminates, and articles obtained using the PMH laminates.
Tensile capacity electrofusion pipeline systems and methods
Techniques for implementing a pipeline system that includes a pipe segment and a pipe fitting. The pipe segment includes tubing, which includes an inner barrier layer that defines a pipe bore, a reinforcement layer implemented around the inner barrier layer to define a fluid conduit, and an outer barrier layer implemented around the reinforcement layer, and a tensile clip secured to the tubing such that clip legs of the tensile clip are secured around the reinforcement layer. The pipe fitting includes electrofusion material implemented to define a fitting bore and a tubing cavity in which the tubing is to be secured and a tensile hook partially embedded within the electrofusion material such that a hook bend extends into the tubing cavity, in which the hook bend matingly interlock with a loop end of the tensile clip to facilitate transferring tensile force between the reinforcement layer and the pipe fitting.
Hybrid Component and Method for Manufacturing a Hybrid Component
A hybrid component comprising at least two component portions, which are connected via at least one connection portion, wherein: the at least one connection portion extends in a joining direction; a first component portion is formed from a first material which has a first modulus of elasticity; a second component portion is formed from a second material which has a second modulus of elasticity different from the first modulus of elasticity; and the at least one connection portion is designed at least to compensate for a sudden change in rigidity between the two component portions, the at least one connection portion having a rigidity that increases in the joining direction and in the direction of the component portion with the higher modulus of elasticity.
