Further, the tray holds a plant. Further, the sensors generate sensor data representing variables. Further, the environmental actuators control environmental variables. Further, the nutrition container contains a nutritional medium. Further, the processing device controls the environmental actuators based on the sensor data.

Root environment control system and method
09807949 · 2017-11-07 ·

Apparatus system and method of maintaining differential atmospheric control with respect to CO2 and O2 gases in a first, stem/leaf zone, Z-1, of a plant from a second, root zone, Z-2, of the plant. The atmosphere in a stem/leaf zone is controlled to be high in CO2 while the root zone Z-2 is isolated and provided with ambient or higher O2, at a pressure to prevent infiltration of CO2 from zone Z-1. The differential atmosphere in each zone can be selectively monitored and adjusted to provide improved growing conditions. The inventive plant environment control system and method is particularly useful in the field of hydroponic and aeroponic growing enclosures, wherein nutrients are periodically provided to the roots, and a high CO2 atmosphere, plus heat and light of appropriate growth-enhancing wavelengths, are provided to the leaves for forced, high-yield growth of selected plants indoors, regardless of the season.

IRRIGATION APPARATUS AND FEEDING SYSTEM
20170303481 · 2017-10-26 ·

An irrigation apparatus and feeding system for dispersing liquid through a plant growing medium are disclosed. The apparatus includes a geometrically shaped container of variable size. Container has an outer wall with an inner surface, an open top, and a base portion configured to cover the plant growing medium. Base portion is configured with a plurality of holes for receiving liquid therethrough. Container is configured with at least one center opening therethrough having an inner wall for receiving a plant. Center opening has at least one longitudinal opening extending therefrom to outer wall to allow placement of container on plant or to allow removal of container from plant. The plurality of holes have at least one dripper for receiving liquid extending therethrough base portion such that the at least one dripper feeds plant growing medium at variable flow rates and intervals and provides stability for apparatus to be secured in plant growing medium.

COLLECTION AND USE OF WATER FROM AN AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM

A structure having an area to be conditioned includes an air conditioning system having a heat exchanger and a condensate drain pan positioned adjacent to the heat exchanger such that a condensate will gravitate from the heat exchanger to the condensate drain pan. A system is associated with the area to be conditioned. The system is arranged downstream from and in fluid communication with an outlet of the condensate drain pan. The condensate from the condensate drain pan is deliverable to the system automatically.

Method and apparatus for the automatic regulation of the irrigation of plants
09775308 · 2017-10-03 · ·

The invention relates to a method for the automatic irrigation of plants, wherein the temporal progression of soil moisture is determined from measured soil moisture values, and said progression is used for the calculation of an optimized irrigation time duration, such that both water excess in the soil and soil drying are avoided as much as possible. Preferably, the time duration of irrigation is constantly evaluated and optimized using comparisons of measured values with prespecified moisture- and dryness threshold values (GWmoist, GWdry), and automatically adjusted to changing environmental conditions and/or plant requirements.

Plant-Protection Cage with Harvesting and Produce-Rinsing Dome

Most of the time, the disclosed plant husbandry and food preparation apparatus encloses a garden plant, such that the plant is protected on all sides from animals. It may comprise a planter in which the plant is grown, a cage that is attached to the lip of the planter, and a dome containing apertures, which is seated atop the cage. The seated dome may be opened, while the dome is still attached to the cage, allowing the gardener to harvest produce. The opened dome is configured for use as a receptacle into which the harvested produce is deposited. The dome is also configured to be effortlessly detachable from the remainder of the apparatus, so that produce within it may be conveniently transported and rinsed. The dome may also be configured to serve as a strainer/steamer basket and as support for an auxiliary irrigation and/or animal deterrence system.

INTEGRATED STAIR GARDEN
