CO-EXTRUDED MULTILAYER ARTICLES INCLUDING CONTINUOUS LAYER AND DISCONTINUOUS LAYER
This disclosure describes co-extruded multilayer articles including at least one continuous layer and one discontinuous layer, as well as systems and techniques for the manufacture of co-extruded multilayer articles. For example, a co-extruded multilayer article is described that includes a body having a plurality of layers, where a first layer of the plurality of layers is formed from a first material and is continuous along a longitudinal axis of the body, and a second layer of the plurality of layers is formed from a second material and is discontinuously co-extruded along the longitudinal axis.
Low dielectric constant (DK) and dissipation factor (DF) material for nano-molding technology (NMT)
The disclosure concerns thermoplastic resin compositions including a polymer resin, a dielectric glass fiber component, a hollow glass fiber, and an impact modifier.
INJECTION MOLDING DEVICE, INJECTION MOLDING METHOD, AND INJECTION MOLDING RESIN MATERIAL
An injection molding device includes an injection machine, a molding die, and a high frequency oscillation device. The injection machine injects a resin material containing a dielectric heat generating material while keeping fluidity by temperature control. The molding die includes a cavity being a channel of flow of the resin material, and a pair of electrodes, each of which faces the cavity, the pair of electrodes being disposed to sandwich the resin material therebetween in a direction crossing a direction of the flow. The high frequency oscillation device applies a high frequency alternate-current voltage to the pair of electrodes.
Radiative cooling structures and systems
Polymer-based selective radiative cooling structures are provided which include a selectively emissive layer of a polymer or a polymer matrix composite material. Exemplary selective radiative cooling structures are in the form of a sheet, film or coating. Also provided are methods for removing heat from a body by selective thermal radiation using polymer-based selective radiative cooling structures.
LOW-DIELECTRIC RESIN COMPOSITION, LOW-DIELECTRIC RESIN/METAL COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF, AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT
The present invention discloses a low-dielectric resin composition, a low-dielectric resin/metal composite material and a preparation method thereof, and an electronic device. The resin composition comprises, based on 100% by weight of the resin composition: 45-70 wt % of a base resin, 20-45 wt % of a chopped glass fiber, 1-3 wt % of a toughening resin, 0.2-0.5 wt % of an unmodified glycidyl methacrylate, and 0-10 wt % of an auxiliary. The base resin is selected from the PBT resin and/or the PPS resin. The chopped glass fiber has a dielectric constant of 4.0 to 4.4 at 1 MHz. With the same base resin component, the dielectric constant and dielectric loss of the low-dielectric resin material prepared with the low-dielectric resin composition are significantly reduced, which is advantageous for satisfying the requirements of use of plastics for antenna channels in metal shell of an electronic device, so as to improve the ability of the electronic device having antennas to receive and transmit signals.
System for removing support structure using integrated fluid paths
A system for producing three-dimensional objects forms fluid paths within the support structure to facilitate the removal of the support structure following manufacture of the object. The system includes a first ejector configured to eject a first material towards a platen to form an object, a second ejector configured to eject a second material towards the platen to form support for portions of the object, at least one portion of the support having a body with at least one fluid path that connects at least one opening in the body to at least one other opening in the body, and a fluid source that connects to the at least one fluid path of the support to enable fluid to flow through the at least one fluid path to remove at least an inner portion of the support from the object.
3D PRINTED RADIO FREQUENCY ABSORBER
Described is a method for manufacturing a radio frequency (RF) absorber. The method includes first determining a set of desired RF absorption properties for a RF absorber. A computer model for the RF absorber having the determined set of desired RF absorption properties is then produced. Using a three-dimensional (3D) printing process, melted plastic filament loaded with a RF absorber material is deposited in in computer controlled patterns according to the computer model, thereby producing the RF absorber having the set of desired RF absorption properties.
Methods and systems for fabricating elastomer-based electronic devices and devices formed thereby
Methods and systems suitable for fabricating multi-layer elastic electronic devices, and elastic electronic devices formed thereby. A method of fabricating an elastomer-based electronic device includes printing a first liquid material and then a second liquid material on a fabric substrate that comprises fibers. The first and second liquid materials are sequentially printed with a three-dimensional printer that directly prints the first liquid material onto the fabric substrate so that the first liquid material wicks through some of the fibers of the fabric substrate and forms a solid matrix of an elastomer-based composite that comprises the matrix and the fabric substrate, after which the three-dimensional printer directly prints the second liquid material on the elastomer-based composite to form a film thereon. The elastomer-based composite and film are electrical components of the elastomer-based electronic device.
