METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING A PRODUCT COMPRISING A DECORATIVE SURFACE LAYER
A method is provided for manufacturing a product having a three dimensional surface layer. The method may involve applying a water based resin on an underlying surface of the product. The water based resin may be at least in part thermocurable. A UV-curable liquid may be provided onto at least one portion of the water based resin, when the water based resin is liquid or partially cured. The water based resin may be cured at least by heating. The UV-curable liquid may be optionally UV cured. The UV-curable liquid may be optionally removed. The surface layer and the underlaying surface may be optionally pressed together by a pressing device.
BLOW MOLDER CONTROL SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Systems and methods for controlling the operation of a blow molder are disclosed. An indication of a crystallinity of at least one container produced by the blow molder may be received along with a material distribution of the at least one container. A model may be executed, where the model relates a plurality of blow molder input parameters to the indication of crystallinity and the material distribution and where a result of the model comprises changes to at least one of the plurality of blow molder input parameters to move the material distribution towards a baseline material distribution and the crystallinity towards a baseline crystallinity. The changes to the at least one of the plurality of blow molder input parameters may be implemented.
THREE-DIMENSIONAL OBJECT FORMING APPARATUS, THREE-DIMENSIONAL OBJECT FORMING METHOD, FORMATION INTERMEDIATE PRODUCT, AND THREE-DIMENSIONAL OBJECT
A three-dimensional-object forming apparatus generates a three-dimensional object such that from a formation intermediate product obtained by sequentially depositing unit layers each including a build material and/or a support material on a work surface, a support made of the support material is removed. The three-dimensional-object forming apparatus includes a position determiner and a roughener. The position determiner determines a position of the build material and a position of the support material to make a partial surface contact between the three-dimensional object and the support. The roughener roughens a specific area defined by an outer surface among outer surfaces of the build material located at the position determined by the position determiner. The outer surface is parallel with the work surface.
HDPE BLENDS OF VIRGIN POLYETHYLENE AND POST CONSUMER RECYCLATE FOR BLOWN FILMS AND METHODS THEREOF
Compounded virgin polyethylene and post-consumer recyclate HDPE compositions with improved processability and mechanical properties, including processes of making, products and application including general purpose films and food packaging are described herein.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A PLASTIC GRANULATE, AND USE OF THE GRANULATE
A method for the production of granulate suitable for the production of extrusion-blow-molded hollow bodies, comprising: sorting by type, washing, and comminuting PET articles originating from a post-consumer collection of plastic packaging, removing contaminants from the PET articles, premixing PET material from various types of the sorted PET articles so that a Trouton ratio of mixed PET material at a shear rate of 50 to 200 s.sup.?1 is less than 4, drying the PET material, melting the dried PET material, pressing the PET material through a filter, dividing the PET material into individual melt streams, cooling and solidifying the melt streams in a water bath and separating the solidified melt flows into pellets, wherein the pellets have an intrinsic viscosity of 0.5 to 0.75 dl/g, crystallizing the pellets, and drying and condensing the crystallized pellets in a solid-phase polycondensation reactor until they reach an intrinsic viscosity of 1.0 to 1.7 dl/g.
RESIN MOLDING, PRINTER, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING RESIN MOLDING
A resin molding has a first surface and a second surface, wherein the second surface includes a rib, and wherein the first surface includes a glossy portion and a non-glossy portion.
ARTICLE WITH DIFFERENT TEXTURED SURFACES
A method of blow molding an article having at least one layer of thermoplastic material. The method comprises the steps of heating a mold having an inner surface with two or more areas of different surface textures to a first temperature of greater than 55 C. and subsequently feeding a parison into the mold. The parison is then blown against the inner surface of the mold to form an article. The temperature of the mold is subsequently lowered to a second temperature of between 20 C. to about 55 C. and the temperature cycle time (t.sub.ct) of the mold is less than 250 seconds. Using the two phase heating and cooling process in combination with a mold featuring different surface textures provides a finished article with different visual effects.
Use of Metallocene Based Polypropylene Random Copolymers in Blown Films
A method of making a film by coextruding a multi-layer structure comprising at least one skin layer comprising a metallocene-based polypropylene random copolymer. A coextruded multi-layer film comprising at least one skin layer comprising a metallocene-based polypropylene random copolymer, and a flexible package compromising such a coextruded multi-layer film are also provided.
REUSABLE, NON-ADHESIVE PROTECTIVE COVER
A reusable, non-adhesive protective cover is disclosed which includes a first layer having an exterior surface designed to contact a structure or object during use and a second layer having an exterior surface designed to be spaced away from the structure or object. Each of the first and second layers are formed from a thermoplastic film and are joined together to form a laminate which is free of polyvinyl chloride. Each of the first and second layers contains at least about 5% of a flame retardant. The first layer has a static coefficient of friction of at least about 0.5. The second layer exhibits attachment and release capabilities such that a joint tape can be used to join adjacent sheets of the reusable, non-adhesive protective cover together and the joint tape can be removed without damaging the reusable, non-adhesive protective cover.
Method and apparatus for manufactoring a sandwich part and sandwich part
A method for producing a sandwich component, which method permits the production of a sandwich component with a class-A surface without cumbersome reworking of the visible surface of the sandwich component, a sandwich component produced by the method, and a corresponding device for producing the sandwich component.
