Housing and Drug Delivery Device herewith and Method for Producing a Housing
The present disclosure is generally directed to a drug delivery device for selecting and dispensing a number of user variable doses of a medicament and to a housing for such a device. The housing comprises a twin-shot injection moulded casing with at least one window and at least one interface for engaging a further component part of the drug delivery device. The casing comprises a first shell injection-moulded in a translucent material and a second shell injection-moulded in an opaque material. Further, the disclosure is directed to a method for producing such a housing.
Two-color molding method and two-color molded article
Provided are a two-color molding method, and a two-color molded article capable of suppressing deterioration of the appearance quality which is caused by resin shrinkage or resin deformation in the two-color molding. The two-color molding method includes: molding a first resin portion by a common die and a primary die; and molding a second resin portion integrally with the first resin portion by the common die and a secondary die. An abutting portion is molded on an edge of the first resin portion to protrude toward the secondary die when the first resin portion is molded, and a distal end surface of the abutting portion is maintained to be abutted on a cavity surface or a parting surface of the secondary die when the second resin portion is molded. The deformation of the abutting portion or the first resin portion is suppressed to suitably mold the second resin portion.
MANUFACTURE OF PARTIALLY TRANSPARENT BATH TOYS
A hollow thermoplastic toy for use in a child's bath, having a vent hole, a transparent region and an opaque region, is manufactured by blow-molding a parison which features a region of transparent thermoplastic and a region of opaque thermoplastic. The transparent region serves to permit visual detection of the growth of mold or mildew within the toy.
Method for producing an elastomeric skin
A method for producing an elastomeric skin having visually spotted appearance may include providing a liquid skin forming composition having solid spot forming particles having a longest dimension that is at least 40 m and spraying the liquid skin forming composition in the form of a spray of droplets onto a mold surface. The provision of solid spot forming particles that are comparable in size to the droplet size may aid in projecting the solid spot forming particles forward upon impact on the mold surface such that a percentage thereof appear visible on the front face of the elastomeric skin after demolding thereby resulting in a front face with a spotted appearance without having to use multiple liquid skin forming compositions.
Illuminated emblem assemblies and methods of manufacture
An illuminated emblem assembly includes a multi-component outer lens having an exterior surface and an interior surface further comprising an externally visible area to be illuminated, an inner lens having an exterior surface and an interior surface, a printed circuit board assembly, a heat sink, a housing for the inner and outer lenses, and at least one light source, wherein the at least one light source is offset from the externally visible area to be illuminated. A method of manufacturing the illuminated emblem assembly includes injection molding the multi-component outer lens, providing the inner lens, providing the housing for the inner and outer lenses, providing the at least one light source, and assembling the inner and outer lenses and the at least one light source within the housing to obtain the illuminated emblem assembly.
COMPACT CASE
A case in loaded state includes a bottom-cover-hinge component including a bottom with a wall, an upper opening, a lower opening, and a mechanism for fixing an insert; a cover including a wall and a peripheral wall; a side film hinge; the bottom, the cover and the hinge being one single component, molded in an intermediate manufacturing conformation fully opened flat at 180, followed by a relative pivoting closing movement; an insert, including walls, an opening, a mechanism for fixing a bottom, a content holding face which limits a storage space; and a content in the storage space; the insert being rigidly fixed onto the component with the mechanism for fixing, so that the insert extends and fits into the lower transversal bottom opening.
Keyboard membrane and keyboard
A keyboard membrane, which is a thin sheet molded object thermoformed by a thermoplastic wear-resistant molding membrane, comprising a plurality of concave-convex parts, the concave-convex part comprises a plurality of upwardly protruding pressing parts, each of the pressing parts has a top wall and a peripheral wall extending downward from a periphery of the top wall; the keyboard membrane is disposed on a key module with keys; each of the pressing parts is connected with one of the keys of the key module; a periphery of the keyboard membrane has a peripheral edge extending outward from the pressing part, and the peripheral edge wraps the key module to form a waterproof and dustproof keyboard.
Methods of in-molding labels and dispensers thereof
Methods for producing a dispenser for dispensable products are disclosed. The method includes attaching a label to the front plate of the dispenser by an in-mold process. The label has a label height (H2) that is less than the front plate height (H1) and label width (W2) that is less than the front plate width (W1) such that a border is formed around at least a portion of the label in the front plate. The front plate can be formed from a transparent material while the label is formed from an opaque material.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING INTERCONNECTED COMPONENTS OF AN INTERIOR-TRIM PART, AND INTERCONNECTED COMPONENTS OF AN INTERIOR-TRIM PART
A method for producing interconnected components of an interior trim part. At least one decorative layer is translucent at least in areas. At least one body is light-permeable at least in sections. The body that is light-permeable at least in sections and an opaque structural part are produced as a multi-component structural part in a plastic injection molding process. The opaque structural part is produced in a first cavity of a mold in the plastic injection molding process and transferred into at least one part of a second cavity of a mold. A carrier film that carries the translucent decorative layer is positioned in another part of the second cavity. The body is produced, which is light-permeable at least in sections, in a space by a plastic injection molding process. A composite part that has the decorative layer, the body, and the opaque structural is removed from the mold.
Oral care implement having multi-component handle
An oral care implement having a multi-component handle, and method of manufacturing the same. The invention can be a method of forming a handle for an oral care implement comprising: a) forming a core structure of a first hard plastic; b) forming an elongated handle body of a second hard plastic that at least partially surrounds the core structure so that opposing lateral surfaces of the core structure remain exposed; and c) forming a grip cover of a resilient material over at least a portion of the elongated handle body.
