ARTICLES WITH ONE OR MORE VIEWABLE OBJECTS THEREIN
An article includes at least first and second members. A decorative object is within the second member. Interlocking features are adapted to removably interlock the first and second members together. The interlocking features include a channel and a rail that are complementarily shaped so that the rail is receivable within the channel to removably interlock the rail with the channel. At least the second member is formed of a translucent or transparent material so that the decorative object within the second member is visible through the member.
Multilayer blown films for shrink applications
The present invention discloses multilayer blown films for shrink label and related applications. These multilayer blown films can comprise a core layer containing an ethylene polymer, and inner and outer layers containing conjugated diene monovinylarene block copolymers.
Customized Ungulate Foot Protection Devices and Related Assemblies and Methods
This disclosure includes customized ungulate foot protection devices and related methods. Some methods of protecting an ungulate foot include capturing a three-dimensional image of a portion of the ungulate foot, producing a three-dimensional image of an overmold, wherein the overmold includes a cavity that is complementary in shape to the captured three-dimensional image of the portion of the ungulate foot, assembling a three-dimensional image of a protective shoe element with the three-dimensional image of the overmold, and manufacturing the assembled three-dimensional images of the protective shoe element and the overmold. Some methods comprise coupling the manufactured overmold to the ungulate foot.
PREFORM, RESIN-MADE CONTAINER, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
A preform including: an opening portion; a body portion; and a bottom portion, the preform having a two-layer structure in which the body portion and the bottom portion include an inner layer made of a virgin material and an outer layer made of a recycled material, in which a weight ratio of the recycled material to a total weight of the preform is 50% by weight or more, a ratio of a thickness of the outer layer to a thickness of the inner layer in the body portion is 1.5 or more, and a haze of a body portion of a container molded from the preform is 1.8% or less.
CONFORMABLE SHIELDING FILM
A method of thermoforming a rigid film construction. The method comprises: applying a rigid film construction to a mold; and heating the rigid film construction until it conforms to the mold. The rigid film construction includes a rigid polymeric film layer; a light-modifying film layer; and a shielding film layer. The shielding film comprises polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA); and the shielding film layer contacts the surface of the mold.
Thermoplastic polymer powder for selective laser sintering (SLS)
The present invention relates to a thermoplastic polymer powder and to the use thereof as material for selective laser sintering (SLS). The polymer powder contains a partially crystalline polymer, an amorphous polymer and a compatibilizing agent, and optionally additional additives and/or auxiliary substances, wherein the partially crystalline polymer, the amorphous polymer and the compatibilizing agent are in the form of a polymer blend. The invention also relates to a method for producing the thermoplastic polymer powder and to a method of selective laser sintering (SLS).
MOLDING OF PLASTIC GLAZING OF TAILGATES
A method of manufacturing a plastic glazing of a tailgate of a vehicle, the method comprising: injecting a first material into a molding apparatus to form a first component of the plastic glazing, wherein the first component comprises a panel of the plastic glazing; injecting a second material into the molding apparatus to form a second component of the plastic glazing, wherein the second component combines with at least the first component, wherein at least a portion of the first component and the second component comprises a transparent cover of a molded light assembly; and injecting a third material into the molding apparatus to form a third component, wherein the third component combines with at least the first component.
Orthodontic appliances and materials
An orthodontic appliance shaped to receive teeth. The orthodontic appliance can be constructed from a laminate structure with an outer transparent layer and an inner translucent layer. The translucent layer can scatter light to decrease a relative degree or perceived gloss to the human eye, and hence provide a more natural appearance to the orthodontic appliance.
Method for manufacturing dual cosmetic container
Discloses is a method for manufacturing a dual cosmetic container. The method includes: molding an inner preform 40 or 40a formed with a patterned portion having one or more shapes selected from characters, pictures, figures, and helical grooves on the outer surface thereof using an upper mold 10 for the inner preform having a molding space 11 and formed with a pattern molding portion 12a on the inner circumferential surface thereof and an lower mold 14 for the inner preform having a molding space 15 for a discharge portion; inserting the inner preform 40 or 40a into a molding space 21 of an upper mold 20 for an outer preform, fixing a discharge portion 41 of the inner preform 40 or 40a to a lower mold 23 for the outer preform, feeding a liquid raw material into the molding space 21 of the upper mold 20 for the outer preform, and molding the outer preform 50 in close contact with the outer surface of the inner preform 40 or 40a formed with the patterned portion 42; and simultaneously heating the inner preform 40 or 40a and the outer preform 50 molded in close contact with each other, inserting the two heated preforms into a molding space 31 of a blow mold 30, inserting a blow tube 32 into the discharge portion 41 of the inner preform 40 or 40a, and simultaneously expanding the inner preform 40 or 40a and the outer preform 50 by blow molding to manufacture the desired dual cosmetic container in which an inner container 100 or 100a and an outer container 200 are in close contact with each other.
Method of Forming an Article
Method of forming an article from a molten plastic composition including a polymer and a blowing agent. The method provides that during an injecting step (c) and a packing step (d), the injection pressure and the packing pressure, respectively, are maintained above a minimum pressure threshold in at least one second region of the cavity to maintain the physical blowing agent as a gas dissolved in the polymer so that substantially no gas bubbles are formed in the at least one second region, during a mould opening step (e), at least some of the molten plastic composition is exposed to an external pressure lower than a minimum pressure threshold to form in the article at least one first portion having expanded cellular foam formed from the plastic composition, and prior to the opening step (e), the plastic composition in the at least one second region of the cavity has been cooled so as to be fully solidified to form in the article at least one second portion having a substantially homogeneous, solid phase, unexpanded plastic composition
