20190337272 · 2019-11-07 · ·

The present invention provides a void-containing heat-shrinkable polyester film which has satisfactory shrinkage finishing properties and printability even if productivity is improved.

The void-containing heat-shrinkable polyester film is a multilayer structure having a non-foamed layer on both outer sides of the foamed layer, and by controlling the film thickness, density, and number of moles of the amorphous component on both outer sides, specific heat shrinkage characteristics and gloss can be improved.

[Problem] To provide: a polyarylene sulfide resin composition having excellent high- and low-temperature impact properties and excellent low warpage; and an insert-molded article using the resin composition.

[Solution] A polyarylene sulfide resin composition that contains a polyarylene sulfide resin A, an inorganic filler B, and an olefinic copolymer C containing a structural unit derived from an -olefin and a structural unit derived from a glycidyl ester of an a, p-unsaturated acid, the inorganic filler B containing a fibrous inorganic filler B1 having a different diameter ratio, which is a ratio of the major axis to the minor axis of a cross section perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, of 1.5 or less, and a fibrous inorganic filler B2 having a different diameter ratio of 3.0 or more, the mass ratio B1/B2 of the fibrous inorganic filler B1 and the fibrous inorganic filler B2 being 0.2 or more and 5.0 or less.

Peelable heat-shrink tubing

A heat shrink tubing, which can be readily peeled in the longitudinal direction after use (e.g., to remove the heat shrink tubing from an underlying material) is provided herein. The heat shrink tubing can be of various compositions, and generally is produced from at least one fluorinated, copolyrneric resin. The tubing can exhibit desirable physical properties such as good optical clarity (e.g., translucency or transparency) and/or peelability, exhibiting one or more of complete, straight, and even peeling along a given length of tubing.

Replaceable antimicrobial system

A replaceable antimicrobial system for providing a replaceable antimicrobial surface to inhibit and reduce microorganism growth on a surface. The replaceable antimicrobial system generally includes providing an antimicrobial cover, positioning the antimicrobial cover upon an object such as a handle, and securing the antimicrobial cover to the object or removably affixing the antimicrobial cover with adhesive. The securing of the antimicrobial cover is accomplished by heat shrinking the antimicrobial cover upon the object. Alternatively, the securing of the antimicrobial cover is accomplished by an adhesive backing attached to the antimicrobial cover. After a period of time of usage where the antimicrobial cover loses its effectiveness to inhibit microorganisms, the antimicrobial cover is removed and a replaced with a new antimicrobial cover.

Heat-shrinkable multilayer film

A heat-shrinkable multilayer film for being filled with contents, comprising an outer surface layer (A) comprising a heat-resistant thermoplastic resin, an intermediate layer (B) comprising a polyamide-based resin, an inner surface layer (D) comprising an ethylene-based copolymer, and adhesion strength between inner surface layers after treatment with 80 C. hot water being not less than 10 N/15 mm. The polyamide-based heat-shrinkable multilayer film obtained in this manner has optimal characteristics for applications that primarily require strength, and has greatly improved self-weldability demanded in packaging films for meat products such as fresh and processed meats.

Polyester Composition, Preparation Method Therefor and Application Thereof

A polyester composition includes a first polyester selected from one or more of aliphatic-aromatic copolyesters, which is a copolymer comprising repeating units A as shown in formula (I) and repeating units B as shown in formula (II), in which m is an integer of 2 to 10 and n is an integer of 2 to 8; p is an integer of 2 to 10; and m, n and p are the same or different from each other. Optionally, the polyester composition has a second polyester. The polyester composition includes at least two polyesters. The polyester composition can be used in shape memory materials, 3D print wires, heat shrinkable sleeves, functional layers, medical limb immobilization braces, heat shrinkable thin films, nonwoven fabrics, elastic fibers, etc.

Method of Manufacturing Film for Tire

A method of manufacturing a film for tire used in an air penetration preventing layer of a pneumatic tire, composed of a thermoplastic elastomer with an elastomer component dispersed within a thermoplastic resin includes performing heat treatment on the film for tire formed by inflation molding or cast molding in a state of being wound in a roll together with a liner material configured to regulate deformation of the film for tire, the heat treatment being at a heat treating temperature equal to or higher than a glass transition temperature of a resin with a highest glass transition temperature in the thermoplastic resin included in the film for tire.

The invention provides a heat-shrinkable polyester-based film comprising ethylene terephthalate units, constituent units derived from at least one monomer which forms an amorphous component, and constituent units derived from butanediol. The amount of the constituent units derived from at least one monomer which forms an amorphous component is 18 mol % or more, and the amount of the constituent units derived from butanediol is 1 to 25 mol % based on 100 mol % of all polyester resin components. The heat-shrinkable polyester-based film is characterized by particular values for the secondary shrinkage ratio of the film, the hot-water heat shrinkage ratio of the film, and the reversing heat capacity difference before and after the glass transition temperature of the film.

Mold for producing three-dimensional decorative articles and method of use
10384391 · 2019-08-20 · ·

Three-dimensional decorative articles are produced from blanks of heat-shrinkable plastic sheet material, using a mold base having an outer surface with a recess over which a blank is placed, and a convex mold insert that moves into the recess by gravity as the blank softens and cooperates with the interior wall of the recess to shape the sheet material into a three-dimensional decorative article. A guide peg extends outward from the bottom of the recess past the outer surface of the mold base and extends through a hole formed in the blank, and through a guide hole in the mold insert to support the mold insert before heating and to guide the mold insert as it moves into the recess of the mold base.
