MODIFIED POST-CONSUMER RESIN SUITABLE FOR SHRINK FILMS
Modified post-consumer resin (PCR) suitable for shrink films, shrink films and articles comprising thereof and a method for preparing a shrink film. The modification of the PCR occurs by a free-radical initiator having a melt flow rate ranging from 0.01 to 1 g/10 min and it is added in an amount ranging from 100 to 1000 ppm based on the total weight of the modified PCR.
Heat-shrinkable polyester film
A heat-shrinkable polyester film that has (1) a hot-water heat shrinkage of 40% or more in a main shrinkage direction of the film when immersed in hot water of 98 C. for 10 seconds; (2) a planar orientation coefficient of 0.035-0.070; (3) ethylene terephthalate as a main constituent component and 6-25 mol % diethylene glycol (DEG) constituent in 100 mol % of polyhydric alcohol in all the polyester resin constituting the film; (4) a maximum shrinkage stress of 2-17 MPa in the main shrinkage direction of the film when measured in hot air of 90 C.; and (5) a tensile elongation at break of 20% or more in a direction orthogonal to the main shrinkage direction after the film is aged in an atmosphere with an atmospheric temperature of 40 C. and a relative humidity of 85% for 28 days.
Heat-shrinkable films and related systems and methods
In various examples, the subject matter of this disclosure relates to heat-shrinkable films and systems and methods for manufacturing and recycling heat-shrinkable films. A heat-shrinkable film can include: a first layer having a first copolymerized polyester resin; and a second layer disposed on the first layer and having a second copolymerized polyester resin, wherein the heat-shrinkable film is predisposed to either (i) curl towards the first layer when heat is applied or (ii) not curl towards the second layer when heat is applied. A layer of ink can be disposed on the second layer.

A multilayer film containing 80 mass % or more of a polyolefin-based resin. A thermally shrinkable multilayer film according to an embodiment of the present invention is a multilayer film including at least three layers including an outer surface layer (a) containing a polyolefin-based resin, an intermediate layer (b) containing a gas-barrier resin, and an inner surface layer (c) containing a polyolefin-based resin, in which at least one layer of the multilayer film contains a cyclic olefin copolymer; when a total mass of the multilayer film is 100 mass %, a proportion of a mass of the polyolefin-based resin in the multilayer film is 80 mass % or more, and a proportion of a mass of the cyclic olefin copolymer in the multilayer film is 15 mass % or more.

Polyester film and method for producing same
A polyester film includes a polyester (A) composed mainly of polybutylene terephthalate and a polyester (B) composed mainly of polyethylene terephthalate, wherein a mass ratio (A/B) between the polyesters (A) and (B) is 70/30 to 55/45, a dry heat shrinkage rate (B) through heat treatment at 200 C. for 15 minutes is 35% or less in any of four directions (0, 45 90 and 135) on the film surface, a difference between a maximum value and a minimum value of these dry heat shrinkage rates is 5% or less, a thickness variation in the four directions is 10% or less, and a crystallization index shown in DSC measurement is 25 to 55 J/g.
HEAT-SHRINKABLE FILM
A heat-shrinkable film includes a first layer containing at least one of a petroleum resin, a terpene-based resin, or a rosin-based resin and containing a propylene-based resin, a cyclic olefin-based resin, and an ethylene-based resin containing an ethylene component in an amount of 50 mol % or more and having a melting point of 70 C. or higher.

[PROBLEMS] It is an object of the present invention to provide a heat-shrinkable polyester-based film roll which can reduce defects caused during a heat shrinking step due to the variation of a heat shrinkage rate in the heat-shrinkable polyester-based film roll having the longitudinal direction as the main shrinkage direction, specifically, defects of the film when covering an object by a wrap-around method and heat-shrunk. [SOLUTIONS] A heat-shrinkable polyester-based film roll, comprising a core; and a heat-shrinkable polyester-based film having a longitudinal direction as a main shrinkage direction that is wound around the core; wherein the film (roll) satisfy predetermined polyester composition, and all samples cutout every about 100 m have a heat shrinkage rate measured by immersion in hot water of 90 C. for 10 seconds of 30% or more and 80% or less and 3% or less of an average in the longitudinal direction.
Tearable tube formed from fluororesin
A method for producing the fluororesin tube, the method including a step of subjecting a thermoplastic fluororesin to melt extrusion molding at a temperature of about 260 to 450 C., wherein the thermoplastic fluororesin is selected from the group consisting of a tetrafluoroethylene-hexafluoropropylene copolymer and a tetrafluoroethylene-perfluoroalkyl vinyl ether copolymer, wherein in the melt extrusion molding, a flow path of the molten thermoplastic fluororesin is temporarily branched to form a weld line in a lengthwise direction in the fluororesin tube. In some cases, the fluororesin tube has tearing property in a lengthwise direction and the method includes subjecting the thermoplastic fluororesin, a filler and/or a contrast agent to the melt extrusion molding.
