Plastic molded part and method for its production
A method for the production of a molded part made of plastic by rotational molding includes providing an insert element made of at least one of an absorbent and saturable material in a rotational melt mold. The rotational melt mold has at least one of a constriction and a wall that projects, in an area of an inner radius, into an interior of the rotational melt mold. A plastic precursor of the plastic intended for the plastic molded part is provided in the rotational melt mold. The plastic precursor is present as a melt in the rotational melt mold. The rotational melt mold is rotated so that the melt polymerizes and is simultaneously shaped, so that part of the melt is picked up by the insert element, and so that a wall thickness of the molded part in a finished form is increased in an area where the insert element is arranged.
Implantable biocompatible reactor
The invention concerns a bioreactor obtained by compressing a mixture of an enzyme, a conductor and chitosan. The conductor can consist of carbon nanotubes. This bioreactor can be produced according to the following steps: preparing a mixture of powders in which the proportion of enzyme powder relative to a carbon nanotube powder is of the order of 50/50 by weight; preparing a viscous solution of chitosan in a ratio of 5 to 15 (in mg) of chitosan to 0.75 to 1.25 (in ml) of acetic acid diluted to 0.4 to 0.6% by volume in water; adding the viscous chitosan to the mixture of powders in a proportion be weight of 3 to 5 of powder to 5 to 10 of chitosan; carrying out a first compression followed by light grinding; carrying out a second compression to produce a pellet; and drying at ambient temperature.
Feminine hygiene products and apparatus and methods for making disposable products
The present invention provides a method and apparatus for increasing the number of articles processed over a distance traveled in the machine direction of an assembly line. In particular, the orientation of the long dimension of the article is provided transverse to the machine direction, thus process rug the articles side-by-side instead of end-to-end.
MULTI-LAYER INJECTION MOLDED CONTAINER
A coinjection molded multi-layer container includes an inner layer, an outer layer, and a barrier layer. The inner layer includes a first polymeric material and forms an inside surface of the container. The outer layer includes the first polymeric material and forms an outside surface of the container. The barrier layer is located between the inner layer and the outer layer and includes a second polymeric material less permeable to gas than the first polymeric material. The barrier layer is biased toward the inside surface or the outside surface such that the inner layer and the outer layer have different thicknesses.
ABSORBENT ALIPHATIC POLYURETHANE FOAM PRODUCT
The present invention relates to foam. In particular, the present invention relates to profiled foams and processes for profiling absorbent foam products. More particularly, the present invention relates to processes for producing a profiled absorbent polyurethane foam product, comprising the steps of foaming, curing, profiling and drying, wherein profiling occurs before drying; and absorbent aliphatic polyurethane foam products having at least one profiled surface.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MANUFACTURING ABSORBER
A manufacturing device is provided, within a range in the rotation direction of the upper half of an anvil roll, in the order from the upstream side in the rotation direction of the anvil roll, with a first sheet feeding unit, a recess forming unit, a particulate material feeding device, and a second sheet feeding unit and further a welding unit provided on the downstream side of the second sheet feeding unit in the rotation direction. The anvil roll has a large number of concaves, projections provided in a portion among the concaves, so as to surround each of the concaves, and a unit to suck air in the concaves. For each concave, the projections are minute dot-shaped projections arranged only in one row at intervals in the direction surrounding the concave.
Optical film and method for manufacturing same, polarization plate, and liquid crystal display apparatus
The optical film of the present invention is an optical film including a thermoplastic resin, in which the optical film has a moisture permeability of 70 g/m.sup.2/day or less (in terms of a film thickness of 40 m), and contains a moisture permeability-reducing compound having a molecular weight of 200 or more and satisfying Formula (1) described below. Formula (1) A/B0.9 (A represents a moisture permeability of an optical film in a case in which 10 mass % of the moisture permeability-reducing compound is added to the mass of the thermoplastic resin, and B represents a moisture permeability of an optical film in a case in which the thermoplastic resin is included and the moisture permeability-reducing compound is not added.)
Defect detection method for monolithic separation membrane structures, repair method, and monolithic separation membrane structures
Each cell is pressurized with gas from outside of the cell, the amount of permeation of the gas permeated into each cell is measured, and a cell having the amount of permeation greater than (average value of all cells+A) (wherein A is a predetermined value of ? to 6?, where ? is the standard deviation) is considered to be defective. Alternatively, pressure is reduced for each cell, the degree of vacuum in each cell is measured, and a cell having the degree of vacuum worse than (average value of all cells+A) is considered to be defective. Then, a polymer compound is poured into the defective cells of the monolithic separation membrane structure and cured so that the defective cells are sealed. Alternatively, the polymer compound formed in advance as the sealing member is inserted into the defective cells to seal the defective cells.
Method of manufacturing a foil tape and foil tape
The invention relates to a foil tape (10) for sealing joints between structural elements (30, 31) which are joined to one another, for example in house-building between masonry and a door or window jamb, wherein the foil tape (10) has a functional membrane (1), a textile (4) joined, preferably all-over, to the functional membrane (1) on a top side or an underside, and at least in certain areas an adhesive layer (2) applied in certain areas to that side of the membrane (1) which is averted from the textile (4), wherein the foil tape (10) is folded to produce a folded body (20), so that sections of the textile (4) lie on top of one another at least in certain areas, the sections of the textile (4) lying on top of one another being welded to one another partially and in particular in a punctiform pattern by supplying energy to the folded body (20).
Multilayered composite material and objects made therefrom
The present invention relates to a multilayer composite having barrier properties, objects, in particular fuel containers, comprising the same, a process for producing the multilayer composite or the objects comprising the same and also the use of the multilayer composite or the objects for reducing the emission of volatile organic compounds.
