Bead-foam articles suitable for use as high-density product packaging and methods for forming high-density product packaging are provided. The bead-foam articles include a plurality of cavities separated by a plurality of walls and advantageously increase the number of products that may be stored, shipped, and/or displayed in a given package without sacrificing protective characteristics such as vibration protection, impact protection, or protection from external elements.

Resin molded component and method for manufacturing resin molded component
A resin molded piece is made from a crystalline resin and is molded by filling a molding space 36 which is defined between a movable mold 32 and a fixed mold 34 with the resin. The resin molded piece has a designed surface 18a on to which a surface of the movable mold 32 is transferred and a non-designed surface 18b on to which a surface of the fixed mold 34 is transferred. The designed surface 18a includes a mirror surface portion 18a. Center line average roughnesses Ra of the mirror surface portion 18c and the non-designed surface 18b are both 0.5 m or smaller. According to the resin molded piece and a fabrication method therefor, the surface roughness of the designed surface can be reduced while restricting a reduction in productivity.
Transfer Sheet, Decorative Sheet, and Decorative Article
A transfer sheet includes, on a base sheet, at least a release layer containing particles and having a surface roughness Ra of 0.15 to 1.0 m, a protective layer containing an ionizing radiation-curable urethane resin and having a Martens hardness of 2.0 to 40.0 N/mm.sup.2, and the adhesive layer containing an acrylic resin, that are laminated in this order. A decorative sheet is formed by transferring the transfer sheet on a support sheet. A decorative article is a resin molded article decorated by using the transfer sheet or the decorative sheet.
VARIABLE SURFACE BREAST IMPLANT
A variable textured breast implant can be formed using a mandrel and a shield device. The shield device can receiving a stem and posterior section of the mandrel to provide a seal between a base engaging surface of the shield device and a posterior section of the mandrel such that multiple layers of elastomer and texturing particles can be applied to the mandrel and the shield device to form texture layers along only an anterior region of an elastomeric shell. Thereafter, the texture layers of the shell can be partially cured and the texturing particles can be removed from the texture layers to form a first textured surface on the anterior region of the shell. The first textured surface can thus define interconnected pores that extend at least about two to about five pore diameters deep into the shell outer surface.
Molded article and production method therefor
A molded article containing a copolymer including a tetrafluoroethylene unit and a perfluoro(alkyl vinyl ether) unit, wherein a surface roughness Ra of the molded article is 0.20 ?m or less, and a water contact angle of the molded article is 80 degrees or less. Also disclosed is a method for producing the molded article.
Polyurethane Tube
Provided herein is a polyurethane tube having a small bending repulsive stress and superior inner-pressure creep characteristics in a flexible polyurethane tube. The present polyurethane tube has a bending repulsive stress of 0.035 N/mm.sup.2 or less, wherein the polyurethane tube is formed so that the difference between the storage elastic modulus E.sub.30 at 30 C. and the storage elastic modulus E.sub.80 at 80 C. is 15% or less of E30.
Power transmission belt and belt transmission system
A power transmission belt has a front rubber face and a back rubber surface. The back rubber surface has an uneven surface of rubber which, when the power transmission belt is wound around a flat pulley, comes in contact with the flat pulley. The uneven surface of rubber has a pattern created by a mold having an impression of a surface of a woven fabric or a knitted fabric. The impression has projected parts and recessed parts, and each of the projected parts has a flat top surface. The power transmission belt is wound around a number of pulleys in a belt transmission system in which the pulleys include a flat pulley with which the uneven surface of the power transmission belt comes in contact.
THERMOPLASTIC RESIN COMPOSITION MOLDED ARTICLE
Provided are a molded article formed of a thermoplastic resin composition, wherein a maximum height (Rmax) of surface roughness of the molded article measured in accordance with JIS B 0601-1982 and a centerline average roughness (Ra) of a surface of the molded article measured in accordance with JIS B 0601-1982 satisfy a formula: 9Rmax/(Ra+1)45, an area ratio of through-holes of the molded article is 1% or more and 20% or less, with a surface area of the molded article being 100%, and a bulk density of the molded article is 0.13 g/cm.sup.3 or more and 0.50 g/cm.sup.3 or less; a method for producing the molded article; and a laminate having the molded article.
