Balloon catheter and method for making same

In at least one embodiment of the present invention a balloon catheter is provided. The balloon catheter comprises a shaft having a lumen formed therethrough. Connected to the shaft is an inflatable balloon. The inflatable balloon has a balloon wall defining a balloon interior surface and a balloon exterior surface that is opposite the interior surface. In fluid communication with the balloon wall is the lumen for inflating the balloon to define an inflated state and for collapsing the balloon to define a deflated state. The balloon wall is textured in the deflated state such that the balloon interior surface is spatially registered with the balloon exterior surface. The balloon in the inflated state is tensioned to have a surface roughness substantially less than a surface roughness of the balloon in the deflated state.

METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MATTE POLYESTER FILM

A matte polyester film and a method for manufacturing the same are provided. The method for manufacturing the matte polyester film includes: providing a recycled polyester material; physically regenerating a part of the recycled polyester material to form physically regenerated polyester chips having a first intrinsic viscosity; chemically regenerating another part of the recycled polyester material to form chemically regenerated polyester chips having a second intrinsic viscosity less than the first intrinsic viscosity; mixing matte regenerated polyester chips, the physically regenerated polyester chips, and the chemically regenerated polyester chips according to a predetermined intrinsic viscosity so as to form a polyester masterbatch material; melting and then extruding the polyester masterbatch material to obtain the matte polyester film having the predetermined intrinsic viscosity.

Metal-containing polymeric reinforced pipe, method for manufacturing same and pipeline produced using said pipe
09857018 · 2018-01-02 ·

The polymeric pipes reinforced with a metal casing are used for transporting oil and gas, acids, alkali products, drinking water and industrial water, and also in the transportation of aggressive and neutral pulps. A metal-containing polymeric reinforced pipe includes a welded metal casing and a polymeric matrix having an amorphous-phase-based molecular structure. The metal-containing polymeric reinforced pipe is produced by extrusion moulding with simultaneous feeding of a polymer melt and the reinforcing metal casing into the mould cavity, followed by intensive cooling of the internal and external surfaces of the pipe being moulded. The invention increases the quality and endurance limit in the radial direction of the metal-containing polymeric reinforced pipe, productivity of the process for manufacturing the pipe, and also the strength and technological effectiveness of a pipeline constructed from the pipes produced.

A molded foam is provided in which even when a force in a sliding direction is applied to another member in contact with its surface, the occurrence of a shift in position relative to the other member can effectively be prevented and the occurrence of unusual noise due to rubbing between its surface and the other member can effectively be prevented. The molded foam is formed by heating expandable resin particles filled into a foaming mold. The molded foam has a plurality of first ridges arranged in one direction and a plurality of second ridges arranged in another direction and disposed so as to intersect the first ridges, the first and second ridges being provided on the surface of the molded foam.

Antireflective article, image display device, production mold for antireflective article and production method for antireflective article production mold

In order to improve the scratch resistance of an antireflective article having a moth-eye structure, an antireflective article is provided that has fine protrusions densely arranged therein, and has the interval between adjacent fine protrusions being no more than the shortest wavelength in the wavelength band for antireflection. At least some of the fine protrusions are fine protrusions having a plurality of apexes.

POLYPROPYLENE FILM AND MOLD RELEASE FILM

A polypropylene film includes a surface layer (I) with polypropylene as a main component at least on one face of a base layer. Surface free energy of the surface layer (I) is 15 mN/m or more and less than 28 mN/m. A mold release film includes a polypropylene film including a surface layer (I) with polypropylene as a main component at least on one face of a base layer, wherein surface free energy of the surface layer (I) is 15 mN/m or more and less than 28 mN/M.

A resin molded product that is applied to a vehicle display device has a surface on which a plurality of fine irregularities having surface roughness of equal to or larger than 1.0 m and equal to or smaller than 10.0 m and an array pitch of equal to or larger than 3.0 m and equal to or smaller than 18.0 m are molded. In other words, the resin molded product has the surface on which the fine irregularities causing a gloss value at an incident angle of 85 to be equal to or lower than 2 are molded. This configuration provides an effect that the resin molded product and the vehicle display device can lower gloss of the surface.
