The polymer sheet can have at least one functional layer overlying a major surface. The polymer sheet has a thickness t.sub.PS. The polyurethane core has a thickness t.sub.PC. In embodiments t.sub.PC can be at least 0.3 t.sub.PS. The polyurethane core can have at least one of the following property: (i) a Scratch Resistance Rating, as further described herein, of not greater than about 10 wt %, (ii) an elongation at break of at least 200%, (iii) a tensile strength at break of at least 0.3 MPa, (iv) a loss of tensile strength of not greater than about 30% when exposed to UV light according to standard SAE J1960 (Rev. August 2003).
The polymer sheet can be used for gaskets or bonding tapes.
PHOTOCURABLE RESIN COMPOSITION FOR THREE-DIMENSIONAL MODELING AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING ARTICLE
A photo-curable resin composition for three-dimensional shaping includes a polyfunctional radical polymerizable compound (A), a monofunctional radical polymerizable compound (B), polyethylene particles (C), and a curing agent (D). The polyfunctional radical polymerizable compound (A) is a single polyfunctional radical polymerizable compound having an ethylenically unsaturated group equivalent of 700 g/eq or more and 8,000 g/eq or less or a mixture including a plurality of types of polyfunctional radical polymerizable compounds and having an ethylenically unsaturated group equivalent of 700 g/eq or more and 8,000 g/eq or less, the ethylenically unsaturated group equivalent being a weighted average of ethylenically unsaturated group equivalents of the polyfunctional radical polymerizable compounds in terms of weight ratio. A content of the polyethylene particles (C) is 5 parts by mass or more and 50 parts by mass or less relative to 100 parts by mass of a total of the polyfunctional radical polymerizable compound (A) and the monofunctional radical polymerizable compound (B).
TRACK SYSTEM FOR TRACTION OF A VEHICLE
A track for traction of a vehicle, such as an agricultural vehicle, an industrial vehicle (e.g., a construction vehicle), a military vehicle, or another off-road vehicle, is provided. The track comprises a ground-engaging outer surface for engaging the ground and a plurality of traction projections projecting from the ground-engaging outer surface and distributed in a longitudinal direction of the track. The traction projections may be designed to enhance their resistance to deterioration during use. For example, a blowout resistance of each traction projection may be enhanced to prevent or at least reduce a potential for blowout of the traction projection under repeated loads which may induce heat buildup within it. Also, a wear resistance of the traction projection may be enhanced such that the traction projection wears less rapidly. A system for protecting a track against potential occurrence of blowout is also provided.
In-mold molding method, in-mold transfer film and manufacturing method therefor
An in-mold molding method of the present invention is a method including: placing an in-mold transfer film in the cavity of an injection molding mold, the in-mold transfer film having a hard coating layer and a transfer section of a printed layer; and peeling, from the base material film of the in-mold transfer film, the transfer section transferred to a molding resin when a molding molded by injecting the molding resin into the cavity is removed by mold opening. The hard coating layer is ruptured in a mold opening process while the in-mold transfer film has a necessary elongation of A % on the side of the molding and the hard coating layer has a rupture elongation of at least A %+2% and less than A %+40% on the side of the molding. With this configuration, the in-mold transfer film can be stably peeled during in-mold molding.
Wrapped V-Belt and Method For Manufacturing Wrapped V-Belt
The present invention relates to a wrapped V-belt containing: a belt main body containing a compression layer containing a compression rubber layer and a fabric-laminated body layer, a tension rubber layer and a tension member buried between the compression layer and the tension rubber layer; and an outside cloth that covers a periphery of the belt main body, in which the compression layer has a plurality of notch portions not covered with the outside cloth, and the notch portion has a top disposed in the fabric-laminated body layer.
Sliding member, method of manufacturing sliding member, and gear
In a method of manufacturing a sliding member including a polyamide resin and a filler, a compound having a carbodiimide bond is supplied during kneading of the polyamide resin and the filler.

Composite friction elements and pultrusion method of making same
A system for continuous process manufacturing of composite friction units uses one or more array gates with a plurality of cutouts each sized to receive one of a plurality of reinforcing fiber fabric therethrough. The system also uses a resin plenum with plenum chamber and a plurality of dispensing tube assemblies. Each of the plurality of dispensing tube assemblies corresponds to a different cutout and includes dispensing bores positioned to dispense resin onto one of the reinforcing fiber fabrics. The system also uses a forming die that receives the reinforcing fiber fabrics with the resin to form a composite panel as they pass through the forming die.
