A massage device includes a plurality of massage rollers including a first-end massage roller, a second-end massage roller, and at least one intermediate massage roller, each massage roller having a spherical shape and being rotatable about a roller axis. Further, the device may be constructed of a coated sponge material for a smooth finish to resist sweat or dirt. The massage balls may have bump and pits to facilitate muscle and tissue stimulation. The massage device is useful in the administration of deep-tissue massage. The device may be used to massage many different minor muscle groups located in the hands and feet, as well a major muscle groups in the upper and lower back, and legs.
Methods of manufacturing articles utilizing foam particles
Methods for manufacturing articles of footwear are provided. In various aspects, the methods comprise utilizing additive manufacturing methods with foam particles. In some aspects, the additive manufacturing methods comprise increasing the temperature of a plurality of foam particles with actinic radiation under conditions effective to fuse a portion of the plurality of foam particles comprising one or more thermoplastic elastomers. Increasing the temperature of the foam particles can be carried out for one or multiple iterations. The disclosed methods can be used to manufacturer articles with sub-regions that exhibit differing degrees of fusion between the foam particles, thereby resulting in sub-regions with different properties such as density, resilience, and/or flexural modulus. This abstract is intended as a scanning tool for purposes of searching in the particular art and is not intended to be limiting of the present disclosure.
COMPOSITE RIBBED EXPANDED POLYSTYRENE PALLET AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
The present invention discloses a composite ribbed expanded polystyrene pallet and a manufacturing method thereof, comprising a body and a base support, said base support clads the sides and bottom of the body, said body is made of expanded polystyrene, said comprises a pallet platform and plural supporting feet. Through the above mentioned way, the present invention utilizes light-weight polystyrene to make the body, the surface is covered with a base support of high-strength engineering plastic film, and reinforcing ribs are additionally arranged inside the body through special process. The pallet of the present invention has good load bearing performance, economy and practicability. The logistics cost also can be reduced greatly. Therefore, the composite ribbed expanded polystyrene pallet and the manufacturing method thereof have broad market prospects in popularization.
Method and Apparatus to Produce Auxetic Foam
In methods and apparatuses for producing auxetic foam from conventional foam, conventional foam is compressed into a mold before thermal, chemical or thermo-chemical treatment processes are performed. A segmented mold is accommodated in a compressing apparatus. After compressing the foam between the mold segments, the mold is fastened shut and removed from the compressing apparatus. The forces applied to any given volume of foam and the amounts by which the foam is compressed while being processed are controlled to impart desired mechanical properties to the produced foam. Poisson's ratio and density of discrete portions of finished foam shapes are reliably predicted and controlled to achieve uniform and non-uniform mechanical properties within a single continuous quantity of foam.
CARBON FIBER COMPOSITE MATERIAL CONTAINING RECYCLED CARBON FIBERS, MOLDED BODY, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING CARBON FIBER COMPOSITE MATERIAL
Provided are a carbon fiber composite material having high strength and elasticity and containing recycled carbon fibers, and a method for producing same. When a raw material is transported along the outer circumferential surface of a screw main body 37 having a passage 88 therein, the transport of the raw material is restricted by a barrier portion 82 provided on the outer circumferential surface, a shearing force is applied to the raw material by the screw main body 37, and a stretching force is applied to the raw material by passing the raw material from the inlet 91 of the passage 88 provided on the outer circumferential surface to the outlet 92 of the passage 88, thereby obtaining a carbon fiber composite material having good strength and elasticity and containing 50-70 wt % of recycled carbon fibers well dispersed therein.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A METAL-PLASTIC COMPOSITE PART, AND METAL-PLASTIC COMPOSITE PART
A method for producing a metal-plastic composite part having a plastic component and a metal component. A microstructure is produced in a contact face of the metal component, wherein the microstructure has undercuts in relation to the contact face. The metal component is arranged in an injection mold such that the plastic material of the plastic component can be injection molded over the contact face of the metal component. The plastic component is injection molded, wherein some of the liquid plastic material penetrates into the undercuts of the microstructure or encloses the same. The plastic material of the plastic component is cooled to form an interlocking and/or friction connection between the plastic component and the metal component.
Advanced composite radome and method of manufacturing
A radome for housing a radar system comprises a plurality of interconnected curved radome thermoplastic composite material panels, each curved radome thermoplastic composite material panel having a plurality of interconnecting edges, a foam core, an inner skin, an outer skin, and a plurality of three-dimensional fiber bundles tying the inner skin and the outer skin to each other through the foam core, inhibiting delamination. The radome includes a hydrophobic exterior surface that is self-cleaning and requires zero maintenance for 25 years.
Microneedle chip and manufacturing method thereof
A microneedle chip and manufacturing method. The method comprises injecting, into a female mold, a fluid needle liquid, wherein forming cavities matching the shapes of needles of a microneedle chip are provided at the female mold and form a cavity array, injection inlets are provided at a surface of one side of the female mold, and air ejection openings are provided at a surface of another side of the female mold to form an air ejection surface; covering the air ejection surface of the female mold using a breathable film, and during injection, passing a gas through the breathable film so as to retain the liquid inside the forming cavities; curing the fluid needle liquid to form the microneedle chip, and demolding to obtain the same. By employing the air ejection openings and the breathable film, a liquid is retained while ejecting a gas, providing a favorable micro-injection effect.
