VACCINATION DELIVERY SYSTEM AND METHOD

A device can be used for delivering a dose of a vaccine, medicine, medication, drug, or prescription. For example, this document describes a wearable vaccination device that plays an audible sound or musical tune for distracting or entertaining the patient while an intradermal vaccine is delivered via the patient's skin. The control portion of the wearable vaccination device includes a processing unit, a rhythm producer that produces audible sounds to distract or entertain the patient, and an injection module that provides an intradermal injection using one or more microneedles.

VACCINE GENERATION
20220054149 · 2022-02-24 ·

An apparatus for vaccine generation includes a syringe with a cavity that includes a solution with photosensitizers. Microbial particles are added to the solution. A light source is capable of emitting one or more wavebands of light that are effectively absorbed by the one photosensitizers to generate singlet oxygen in the solution and other radical species that rapidly react with and damage lipids, proteins, DNA, and RNA of the microbial particles. This damage produces immunogens that can be applied as a vaccine to viruses and other infectious microbial particles. A plunger that fits within a proximal opening in the syringe is used for forcing the solution including the immunogens through the filter and out of the syringe while the photosensitizers, debris and unwanted microbial particles are trapped within the filter.

CAPSULE DEVICE AND METHODOLOGY FOR DISCOVERY OF GUT MICROBE ROLES IN DISEASES WITH ORIGIN IN GUT
20170281091 · 2017-10-05 ·

This special gut microbe and chemical substance sampling technology, utilizing swallowable capsules, is for purpose of determining roles gut contents play in some 52 of most costly, in lives and dollars, of diseases with their known origin in the human gut. Gut microbes and substances are collected, analyzed, medicinal substances and objects deployed, and special provisions for attracting, capturing and preserving certain strains of microbes, and means for perturbing the gut environment and immune system are all intended to research, discover, and ultimately find both the causes and cures for the most devastating human diseases, and in the process, create gut microbiome profiles.

Microneedle array for administering various types of drugs, microneedle structure including microneedle array, method of fabricating microneedle array, and method of fabricating microneedle structure

A microneedle array includes a plurality of microneedles of which surfaces are coated with a liquid drug and a base for supporting the microneedles in which the microneedles are divided into two or more areas, and the surfaces of microneedles disposed in each of the divided areas are coated with different liquid drugs, and the ingredient of a liquid drug coated on microneedles disposed in one of the divided areas is different from the ingredients of liquid drugs coated on microneedles disposed in the remainder of the divided areas.

AUTOMATIC DISPENSER FOR RESPIRATORY DELIVERY DEVICE AND METHOD

The present invention provides a particulate delivery device with an automatic activation mechanism that pierces or cuts a composition capsule when a cap is removed. The cap cannot be replaced once the device is activated for use. The device allows for gas flow through the device from a gas inlet to a gas outlet through a composition receptacle and dispersion chamber to deliver particulate to the airway of a subject.

Interpenetrating microstructures for nanochannel-based cargo delivery

Provided herein are devices and methods for topically and controllably delivering cargo across or into biological tissues, particularly the skin. These devices permit delivery of cargo to deeper cell layers of a tissue. These devices include microstructure arrays comprising nanochannels. Also disclosed is a device comprising a one or more microstructure arrays encased in a frame.
