Inflation and sealing device with inclined components
The present disclosure is related to an inflation and sealing device that can include a material support at an angle to a guide for an inflation and sealing mechanism. The device can have a material support with a discontinuous surface. The device may also have low- or non-stick surfaces and bump-off elements to prevent sticking to a cooling region or exit from the device.
Controlling Application of Forces to Different Portions of Object Surface Using Bladder
Provided are methods and apparatuses for processing objects by applying different forces and/or pressure levels to different portions of surfaces of these objects. An apparatus may include a flexible wall and a contact member. In some embodiments, the flexible wall forms a bladder such that the contact member is disposed inside the bladder. During operation, the flexible wall may be pressed against an object using a pressure differential across the wall (e.g., by pressurizing the bladder). This creates a first force acting on a first portion of the object surface. Furthermore, the contact member may be forced against the flexible wall and apply a second force to a second portion of the object surface through the wall. The second portion of the object surface may be a subset of the first portion or an entirely different portion.

Aeromorph shape management
Inflatable structures, or aeromorphs, are provided with reinforcing member shape controlling features. The inflatable structure includes a bladder formed of a programmable substrate and defining an outer perimeter. The bladder includes a plurality of seams and a plurality of foldable segments defined by the plurality of seams. At least one hinge is provided, located adjacent each foldable segment. The hinge is configured to permit a folding movement of the respective foldable segment. At least one reinforcing member is provided, secured to the bladder and configured to guide a directional movement of at least one of the plurality of foldable segments, control a shape of the inflatable structure, and determine a sequence of folding. In various aspects, the reinforcing member includes a thermoplastic polyurethane, and is secured to a surface of the bladder with additive manufacturing techniques, such as 3-D printing.
POLYURETHANE BONDING PROCESS FOR FUEL BLADDERS
A method of bonding a metal fitting to a polyurethane structure, the method comprising abrading a surface of the metal fitting with an abrasive; cleaning the metal fitting with a solvent; cleaning a surface of the polyurethane structure with an alcohol; applying a primer to the surface of the metal fitting; applying an adhesive to the surface of the metal fitting and the surface of the polyurethane structure; applying a liquid polyurethane compound to the surface of the metal fitting and the surface of the polyurethane structure; and pressing the surface of the metal fitting against the surface of the polyurethane structure to form an assembly. The primer can comprise a first resin and a first catalyst in a ratio of about 1.1 to 1; the adhesive can comprise a second resin and a second catalyst in a ratio of about 3 to 1; and the liquid polyurethane compound can comprise a third resin and a third catalyst in a ratio of about 10 to 1.
Bleach Compatible Polyolefin Mattress Cover
A bleach compatible mattress cover made of a non-woven polyolefin material and defining an interior cavity. The interior cavity configured to receive a mattress structure which may include a first and second support structure disposed in the interior cavity. In certain embodiments, the mattress cover has a Moisture Vapor Transfer Rate of greater than or equal 400 to less than 10,000, 7500 or more particularly less than 5000 grams per square meter per day and a hydrostatic head of 100 cm or greater and passes ASTM 1670 and
METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF A BLADDER ACCUMULATOR AND BLADDER ACCUMULATOR PRODUCED ACCORDING TO SAID METHOD
The invention relates to a method for the production of a bladder accumulator (10) which separates two media chambers (16, 18) from one another in a storage housing (12) by means of a bladder body (14), comprising at least the following production steps:extruding a plastic tube over the bladder body (14);shaping the plastic tube with the integrated bladder body (14) in a molding tool that corresponds to a predeterminable plastic core container (20), andwinding at least one plastic fiber from the outside on the plastic core container (20) for the purpose of creating the storage housing (12).
Dust cover, suspension device, and method for manufacturing dust cover
A dust cover is configured to cover an outer side of a damper extending in a predetermined direction. The dust cover includes bellows portions and a flange portion. The bellows portions are inclined alternately toward a radially outer side and a radially inner side in an axial direction. The flange portion extends radially outward from a cylindrical portion of the dust cover. The flange portion protrudes radially outward from the cylindrical portion of the dust cover by a dimension larger than a height dimension in a radial direction between a radially inner end and a radially outer end of each of the bellows portions. A thickness of the flange portion is larger than a thickness of the radially outer end of each of the bellows portions.
System and method for forming textured bladder
A method including inserting into a mold a first tool having a first surface. The method further includes printing a second tool from a polymer material and inserting the second tool into the first tool. The second tool having a smaller wall thickness than the first tool and including a second surface opposing and in contact with the first surface of the first tool and a third surface formed on an opposite side of the second tool than the second surface.
REINFORCED THERAPEUTIC WRAP AND METHOD
A therapy wrap for treatment of at least a portion of an animate body having improved kink resistance. The therapy wrap may be selectively reinforced for improved kink resistance in only a portion of the wrap. The reinforcement may decrease the kink radius. The wrap may include a kink reducer in all or only a selected kink-prone region. The kink reducer may be selectively configured attachment points or spot welds. The therapy wrap may include a reinforcement layer of one or more discrete reinforcement members. The wrap may be formed by pre-tensioning the material layers while forming the fluid bladder and/or gas pressure bladder. The therapy wrap may be adapted to compensate for conditions that normally cause kinking of the wrap or buckling of the fluidic channels. Also disclosed are methods of manufacturing the wrap and methods of administering a temperature-controlled treatment to an anatomical body part.
