Oro-nasal patient interface

A patient interface includes a frame including a textile material and a seal-forming structure provided to the frame. The seal-forming structure includes a foam material and/or a foam and textile material configured and arranged to form a seal with the patient's nose and/or mouth.

KERATINOCYTE STIMULATION FOR WOUND PREVENTION
20170326323 · 2017-11-16 ·

An apparatus structured to contact external tissue, such as skin, of a user includes a portion that has a component, which is effective to stimulate keratinocytes in the skin of the user. The portion is structured to directly or indirectly engage the external tissue. The portion can include a coating applied to a surface of the apparatus or, alternately, the portion can include a piece or part of the apparatus that has the component incorporated in its material composition. In one implementation, the component is an agonist of olfactory receptors which are expressed by skin cells, and the component is effective to stimulate the skin cells for enhanced wound healing.

AIR DELIVERY CONDUIT

A mask system and an air delivery conduit for use in the treatment of respiratory disorders. The air delivery conduit may comprise a textile having an airtight arrangement. A support structure may be provided to the conduit to provide form.

Delivery of respiratory therapy using a detachable manifold

An air delivery system for providing a supply of air from a source of air at positive pressure to an interfacing structure located at the entrance to the airways of a patient includes a manifold adapted to connect with the supply of positive air pressure and at least one tube connected to the manifold and adapted to deliver the supply of air to the interfacing structure. Each tube is structured to allow movement between an open phase in which the tube allows the passage of air and a collapsed phase in which the tube is collapsed. Each tube is structured such that weight of a typical patient's head against bedding apparel is sufficient to collapse the tube from the open phase to the collapsed phase.

AEROSOL PROVISION SYSTEM
20230165312 · 2023-06-01 ·

A component for use in an aerosol provision system is disclosed. The component includes a region through which, in use, an aerosol from the aerosol provision system passes, the component being configured to enable selective interaction of the aerosol with a substance locatable in the region.

AIR DELIVERY CONDUIT

An air delivery conduit includes first and second conduit portions that cooperate to form the conduit, each conduit portion including an inner layer of a film laminate that forms an interior surface of the conduit and an outer layer of a textile that forms an exterior surface of the conduit.

Patient interface

A patient interface comprises a support structure and a seal-forming structure. The support structure is arranged to support the sealing portion and is configured to connect to the frame. The sealing portion comprises textile and is attached to the support structure along an outer perimeter of the sealing portion such that in use the sealing portion may be in tension due to reactive stress of the support structure and/or a resilient stretch characteristic of the textile such that the sealing portion exerts a force against the patient's face.

BLOOD FILTER

Provided is a blood filter that resists deterioration in properties as a result of electron beam sterilization treatment performed before or during use as a blood filter, has durability, dimensional stability, and chemical resistance at excellent levels, also has biocompatibility, and resists deterioration in properties even upon the electron beam sterilization treatment. The blood filter according to the present invention includes a nonwoven fabric made of PEEK fibers. Preferably, the blood filter according to the present invention has an average pore size of 3 to 280 μm and has a porosity of 15% to 70%; and the PEEK fibers have an average fiber diameter of 10 μm or less.

Drive Mechanism and Drug Delivery Device Herewith

The present disclosure relates to a drive mechanism which is suitable for an injection device, especially a pen type drug delivery device and to such a drug delivery device. The mechanism comprises a spring driven rotatable drive member, a rotatable driven member, a clutch rotationally coupling the driven member and the drive member in a coupled state and allowing relative clockwise and anti-clockwise rotation between the driven member and the drive member in a decoupled state, and a spring biasing the clutch into its coupled state and allowing relative axial movement between the drive member and the driven member into the decoupled state of the clutch against the bias of the spring. The clutch comprises a first ring of crown teeth on the drive member and a second ring of corresponding crown teeth on the driven member with each crown tooth having in the clockwise and the anti-clockwise direction different ramped tooth angles such that the teeth are allowed to override each other in the de-coupled state of the clutch with a different resistance in the clockwise and the anti-clockwise direction.
