The patient interface comprises a seal, a frame and a gas delivery conduit. The frame is configured to secure the seal and gas delivery conduit together. The frame comprises a recessed channel and/or headgear retaining features configured to connect the headgear to the patient interface. The frame can include an inlet collar that connects to a gas delivery conduit. The inlet collar can include bias flow holes. The headgear comprises a top strap, a pair of side arms, a yoke and a rear strap. The yoke is configured to connect to the recessed channel of the frame. The top strap, side arms and yoke form an integrally formed closed loop. The top strap can include two portions adjustably connected to each other.

AEROSOL DELIVERY DEVICE
20220304378 · 2022-09-29 ·

A cartridge for use in an aerosol delivery device, the cartridge including: an outer housing configured to contain at least an aerosolizable composition, the outer housing including an exit portal at a proximal end thereof for passage of an aerosol; and a bottom cap positioned at a distal end of the outer housing that is configured for insertion into a receiving chamber of a control device of the aerosol delivery device. The outer housing defines a front face portion and a rear face portion interconnected with sidewalls, wherein the front face portion has an asymmetrical configuration relative to the rear face portion, such asymmetrical configuration being effective such that the cartridge engages the control device of the aerosol delivery device in only a single orientation. A control device is also provided herein.

Splitable Needle and Dilator Catheter Placement Device and Associated Methods

Disclosed herein is a catheter placement system including a splittable needle and dilator. The system can include a housing having one or more flexible sections and a pleated section. A user can grasp an elongate medical device using the flexible sections and transition the housing pleated section between an extended and collapsed configuration to urge the elongate medical device proximally or distally. The system can also include a needle retraction mechanism configured to split the needle long a longitudinal axis and roll up the separate portions to allow one or more elongate medical devices to pass therebetween. The system can also include a dilator splitter configured to separate a dilator along a longitudinal axis and radially displace the dilator portions to allow one or more elongate medical devices to pass therebetween. Advantageously, the system can maintain the elongate medical device in a sterile environment, mitigating the introduction of pathogens.

Medical rubber parts

The present invention provides, medical rubber parts that do not physically and chemically affect the quality of preparations. The present invention relates to a medical rubber part obtained by press-molding an unvulcanized rubber mainly containing a rubber for forming a liquid-contacting portion and an unvulcanized rubber mainly containing a butyl-based rubber for forming a non-liquid-contacting portion, wherein a color difference dE between the liquid-contacting portion and the non-liquid-contacting portion is 6.0 or more in NBS units.

Apparatus and method for humidity conditioning sample gas of a patient breathing circuit affiliated with a ventilator and/or nitric oxide delivery system

A therapeutic gas is administered to a patient. A sample gas is drawn from the therapeutic gas supply, and passed through a water-permeable tubular membrane. Concurrently, a section of the water permeable tubular membrane is maintained as a ventilated water permeable tubular membrane, by exposing outer surfaces of the ventilated water permeable tubular membrane to an ambient air flow. The ambient air flow may in some examples be moved over the tubular membrane via forced air such as for example via a fan associated with a housing surrounding the tubular membrane.

SCENT INFUSED NASAL CANNULA AND METHODS OF USE AND FABRICATION THEREOF

Scent infused nasal cannulas, scent infused nasal cannula assemblies, methods of providing scents to subjects, and methods of fabricating scent infused nasal cannulas. The scent infused nasal cannulas and scent infused nasal cannula assemblies include a tubular body, a pair of narine projections, and fluid supply tubes. The tubular body and the pair of narine projections are formed from a scent infused polymer. The methods of providing scents to subjects include attaching a scent infused nasal cannula to a subject and delivering a fluid from a fluid source to the subject during the emission period of the scent infused polymer such that the scent is detectable therefrom. The methods of fabricating scent infused nasal cannulas include providing a scent infused nose piece and attaching fluid supply tubes to the nose piece and to a fluid source.
