Headgear tubing for a patient interface
A patient interface for treating sleep disorder breathing includes a textile tube that also provides support for the seal forming structure. The textile tube includes an inner and outer layer that are joined along seams to form an air chamber or passageway. The textile tube can be pre-shaped so that the textile tube resiliently returns to a pre-determined shape prior to the introduction of pressurized air.
DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE HAVING PRESSURIZED VESSEL
A drive system for a drug delivery system includes a pressure chamber, a primary container, and a pressurized fluid. The pressure chamber has an outer surface and an inner surface that defines an interior volume. The primary container also has an outer surface and an inner surface that defines an interior volume to store a medicament to be administered to a user. The primary container is at least partially disposed within the interior volume of the pressure chamber. The pressurized fluid is disposed in the interior volume of the pressure chamber and is pressurized to exert a pressure on at least a portion of the outer surface of the primary container.
Glass impeller for a blood pump
A blood pump includes an impeller assembly housing; and an impeller assembly disposed within the impeller assembly housing. The impeller assembly includes an impeller having a main body, at least one impeller blade extending outwardly therefrom, and a skirt disposed around at least a portion of the main body. At least a portion of the at least one impeller blade is disposed between the main body and an inner surface of the skirt.
TEXTILE SEAL WITH AIR-ASSISTED BIASING PORTION
A patient interface comprises a plenum chamber and a seal-forming structure. The seal-forming structure comprises a support structure arranged to support a sealing portion that is adapted to sealing engage the patient's face in use. The seal-forming structure may also include a seal biasing portion configured to inflate under pressurization within the cavity in the cushion assembly in use to extend the reach of the sealing portion and decouple the sealing portion from external forces.
Wearable injector with adhesive substrate
An on-body drug delivery device having a housing carried by a substrate. The substrate includes one or more cut-outs and/or one or more perforations to allow the substrate to better conform to the patient's body.
SEAL-FORMING STRUCTURE FOR PATIENT INTERFACE INCLUDING TEXTILE SEAL MEMBER
A patient interface may have a frame and a seal-forming structure. The frame may at least partially form a plenum chamber pressurisable to a therapeutic pressure. The seal-forming structure may be constructed and arranged to form a seal with a region of the patient's face surrounding an entrance to the patient's airways, said seal-forming structure having a hole therein such that the flow of air at said therapeutic pressure is delivered to at least an entrance to the patient's nares, the seal-forming structure constructed and arranged to maintain said therapeutic pressure in the plenum chamber throughout the patient's respiratory cycle in use. The seal-forming structure may comprise a textile seal member adapted to sealingly engage the patient's face in use.
PATIENT INTERFACE DEVICE
A patient interface for sealed delivery of a flow of air to ameliorate sleep disordered breathing may include: a seal-forming structure to form a pneumatic seal with the entrance to the patient's airways; a positioning and stabilising structure to maintain the seal-forming structure in sealing contact with an area surrounding the entrance to the patient's airways; a plenum chamber pressurised at a pressure above ambient pressure in use; a connection port for the delivery of the flow of breathable gas into the patient interface; and a device positioned within a breathing chamber defined, at least in part, by the seal-forming structure and the plenum chamber, wherein the device divides the breathing chamber into a posterior chamber and an anterior chamber, and wherein the device comprises a plurality of apertures such that turbulence of the air in the posterior chamber is less than turbulence in the air in the anterior chamber.
SAFETY INTRAVENOUS CANNULA
The present invention relates to a cannula comprising a catheter assembly, a body member, an elongated tubular member, a needle hub, and a safety device fixedly connected to a distal end of the elongated tubular member and releasably connected to the body member. The body member includes an annular groove, and the safety device comprises locking elements. When the needle is retracted from the catheter assembly after puncturing the vein of a patient, the body member is disengaged by disengaging the locking elements from the annular groove, thereby separating the safety device from the body member after the needle has been arrested within safety device. The locking elements are solid spherical elements of stainless steel material.
HEADGEAR TUBING FOR A PATIENT INTERFACE
A patient interface for treating sleep disorder breathing includes a headgear tube that provides support for the seal forming structure. The headgear tube includes a patient-contacting portion and a non-patient contacting portion that are joined along seams to form a gas passageway. The headgear tube may comprise a textile material and/or a foam material. Portions of the headgear tube may be imparted with greater rigidity than other portions.
MECHANISM FOR MANIPULATING A PULLER WIRE
A catheter that includes a mechanism for deflecting a distal portion of a catheter may include a deflection knob including a first thread, a rod including a second thread that is coupled to the first thread, and a puller wire that is connected to the rod. The rod may additionally include a pocket to which the puller wire may be connected via a joining feature that may be secured in the pocket and attached to a proximal end of the puller wire. The joining feature may include a first ferrule joined, e.g., crimped, to the proximal end of the puller wire and a second ferrule secured, e.g., bonded, in the pocket and joined, e.g., crimped, to the first ferrule.
