Method of reclaiming a seal

A method of reclaiming a used seal includes boiling the used seal in a liquid, and after boiling the used seal in the liquid, baking the used seal. The boiling the used seal may include boiling for a predetermined boiling time in the liquid, and the baking the used seal may include baking the used seal for a predetermined bake time at a predetermined temperature.

Shaker flask stand with composite legs

A flask stand is configured to support a flask and includes a base ring and a plurality of legs. The base ring is configured to support a lower portion of the flask. Each leg is secured to the base ring and extends outward from the base ring. Each leg includes a body, a lattice, and an elastomeric foot. The body includes a first end portion that is secured to the base ring with the foot portion being opposite the first end portion. The lattice is formed within the foot portion and includes a plurality of members that form an open-mesh frame that defines a plurality of voids between adjacent members of the frame. The elastomeric foot is formed of an elastomer and is disposed about the lattice and within the voids of the lattice. The foot is configured to engage a surface to support the body relative to the surface.

METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A TWO COMPONENT SEALING GASKET FOR PLASTIC PIPE

A pipe sealing gasket is shown which is designed to be received within a raceway provided within the female, belled end of a section of plastic pipe which is assembled with a mating male pipe end to form a plastic pipe joint. The gasket is a two-component gasket having a softer, elastomeric portion and a harder, plastic ring portion. A splicing technique is used to form the softer, elastomeric portion with the harder, plastic portion being injection molded over the previously formed elastomeric portion.

Apparatus and methods for connecting nodes to tubes in transport structures

Apparatus and methods for joining nodes to tubes with node to tube joints are presented herein. Joining techniques allow the connection of additively manufactured nodes to tubes. In an embodiment, at least one node may be joined to a tube and may be a part of a vehicle chassis. The node to tube joint connection incorporates adhesive bonding between the node to tube to realize the connection. Sealants may be used to provide sealed regions for adhesive injection, which are housed in sealing interfaces co-printed with the additively manufactured nodes. Additionally, seals may act as isolators and reduce galvanic corrosion.

A gasket for a plate heat exchanger, the gasket comprising a body in the form of a loop for fitting to a plate of the plate heat exchanger, the body including one or more peripheral connection areas spaced along at least one side of the loop, and a plurality of tabs for securing the gasket in position on the plate, each tab being discrete from the body, and each tab including connection means which is receivable by or engageable with one of the connection areas to connect the tabs and body together.

Gasket and sealing structure

A gasket 100 is configured to seal a gap between an installation member 200 and a fixation member 300 which are fixed to each other. The gasket 100 has an annular gasket main body 11 configured to be fitted into an annular groove 210 provided in the installation member 200 and configured to be in close contact with a bottom surface 210a of the annular groove 210 and with an end surface 310 of the fixation member 300, and an auxiliary seal portion 12 extending from the gasket main body 11 toward an opposite region, which is opposite to a sealed region. The auxiliary seal portion 12 is configured to be in close contact with an end surface 220 of the installation member 200 on the opposite region side of the annular groove 210 and with the end surface 310 of the fixation member 300.

POLLUTION MEASURING SENSOR HOUSING

Present invention relates to sensor housing which is used in all dishwashers, and providing full sealing within its structure from 4 points by means of TPV 2K injected (2) sealing gasket that is injected via 2K injection wherein sensor providing a possibility to measure the water pollution doesn't require an additional component for a full sealing.

METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR MOLDING-IN GASKETS WITHIN THE GROOVES OF A PLANAR WORK MATERIAL

Exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure are directed towards methods and apparatus for molding-in gaskets that serve as light blockers, within the grooves of a moving planar work material. The gaskets comprise of a hot melt adhesive material that is in a molten state above a particular temperature and gets solidified below a particular temperature. Another exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure is directed towards a planar work material having grooves that are filled with molded-in gaskets, wherein the gaskets are made up of a hot melt adhesive material. The gaskets made of the hot melt adhesive material bond securely with the panels because of inherent adhesive properties, and provide structural stability to the light panels. Another exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure is directed towards the use of a hot melt adhesive material as the molding material for molding-in gaskets within the grooves of a planar work material.

Spiral wound gasket

A spiral wound gasket includes a resilient sealing element including spirally wound, alternating layers of metal banding and winding fill material that incorporates a significant quantity of talc with quantities of fiber and binder. Either or both of an outer guide ring and inner guide ring may extend from peripheral outer and inner surfaces of the sealing element. Embodiments of the gasket overlay one or both axial faces of the sealing element with a layer facing material that incorporates a significant quantity of talc with quantities of fiber and binder.

A process for producing gaskets by curing a liquid molding material applied over a plate by a dispenser, wherein in order to improve accuracy in the cross-sectional shape and/or height of the gaskets, the process comprises the steps of: using a dispenser to coat the upper surface of a plate with a liquid molding material, and form a coating layer extending endlessly in a prescribed pattern; and overlapping a molding jig on the plate, the molding jig having in a lower surface a molding groove extending endlessly in a prescribed pattern corresponding to the coating layer, correcting the cross-sectional shape of the coating layer to a cross-sectional shape that corresponds to the molding groove, and curing the coating layer.
