Minimally invasive surgical instruments with terminal steerable mechanism
The present invention provides a minimally invasive surgical instrument with a terminal steerable mechanism, comprising an intervention device, a control device and one or more wires. The strip-shaped intervention device sequentially includes a main section, a flexible section and an operation section from the top to the end. The control device includes a sphere with a preset rotational degree of freedom, and an operating lever connected to the sphere. Said one or more wires are extended along the main section of the intervention device. Here, the second ends of said at least one or more wires are connected to the flexible section or the operation section of the intervention device, and the first ends thereof are connected to at least a part of the control device.
Capnograph system further detecting spontaneous patient breaths
A capnograph system may be used together with a ventilation system for a patient. The capnograph system may include a capnography module with a carbon dioxide detector, which may generate a carbon dioxide signal responsive to an amount of carbon dioxide detected within an air path of the ventilation system. A monitoring circuit may further detect a pressure within the air path. A processing component within the capnography module may generate a pressure signal responsive to the pressure detected in the air path. The pressure signal, alone or in combination with other signals such as the carbon dioxide signal, may be used to detect spontaneous breaths of the patient.
Surgical method and apparatus for destruction and removal of intraperitoneal, visceral, and subcutaneous fat
The embodied invention is a method of removing intraperitoneal fat by using a freezing cryoprobe and inserting it into the abdominal cavity. The freezing cryoprobe is covered by a vacuum sleeve which provides for a method for abdominal fat removal once the cells are damaged. A multi-step surgical procedure is used to freeze, irrigate, and remove the destroyed fat tissue. Also, an ultrasonic transmitter is inserted into an outer cryoprobe sheath to assess organ position with the advantage of an internal transmitter which greatly aids in organ identification.
Face Cradle Cover with Immediate Essential Oil Decongestant Element
The present invention relates to a cover for a massage table face cradle. Specifically, the invention is a fitted face cover for a massage table that further adds an immediate essential oil decongestant element for its user, providing a protective sanitary barrier, and an easy essential oil breathing experience while said user is in a prone (lying face down) position while receiving massage.
Systems and methods of mitigating negative effects of therapies with transcutaneous vibration
Systems and methods to mitigate negative effects of a drug in a treatment of a mental health condition include administering a drug to a subject in a therapy session; determining effects of the drug, the effects being counterproductive to the therapy session; and providing tactile stimulation to a subject with a stimulation device that generates transcutaneous vibratory output to be applied to a portion of a body of the subject during the therapy session, wherein the transcutaneous vibratory output is selected to reduce the counterproductive effects of the drug.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TREATING GENITOURINARY PROBLEMS
Apparatus and methods for treatment of bleeding and/or microbial infection of the genitourinary tract including a catheter and an insertable and removable medicament-delivery sheath for introducing a hemostatic and/or anti-microbial substance or the like. Some embodiments further include a light-delivery sheath and/or light-delivery-and-imaging sheath having a light-propagation channel, and a source of anti-microbial and/or imaging light in one or more wavelength bands, for example UVC light and/or light in the visible violet, blue or green wavelength ranges. Some embodiments include a display for captured images, and/or a motorized sheath-movement device configured to move one or more light-output ports. Some embodiments further include a light-propagation channel built into the catheter itself (such as one or more optical fibers) for the administration of anti-microbial ultraviolet light (and/or other wavelengths of light) light along the catheter and/or at the distal end of the catheter to treat and/or prevent microbial (bacterial and/or fungal) infections.
INHALER SYSTEM
Provided is a system for determining a probability of a respiratory disease exacerbation in a subject. The system comprises an inhaler arrangement for delivering a medicament to the subject. The medicament may be a rescue medicament and/or a maintenance medicament. The inhaler arrangement has a use-detection system configured to determine an inhalation performed by the subject using the inhaler arrangement. A sensor system is configured to measure a parameter relating to airflow during the inhalation. A user interface enables user-input of an indication of a status of the respiratory disease being experienced by the subject. A processor is configured to determine the probability of the respiratory disease exacerbation based on the recorded inhalation(s) from the use-detection system, the parameter(s) received from the sensor system, and the indication received from the user interface. Further provided is a method for determining the probability of a respiratory disease exacerbation in a subject.
HUFF COUGH SIMULATION DEVICE
A respiratory treatment device having an inlet configured to receive exhaled air into the device, an outlet configured to permit exhaled air to exit the device, a valve moveable in response to a threshold exhalation pressure at the inlet between a closed position where the flow of air from the inlet to the outlet is restricted, and an open exhalation position where the flow of air from the inlet to the outlet is less restricted, and a valve brace configured to support the valve, wherein a position of the valve brace relative to the valve is selectively adjustable to increase or decrease the threshold exhalation pressure.
HEADACHE THERAPEUTIC INSTRUMENT
The present invention discloses a headache therapeutic instrument, comprising a wearable frame fitting for the human head, massage and transdermal medicine permeation devices, liquid medicine delivery tubes, a liquid medicine delivery device and a liquid medicine storage box. The massage frame is provided with at least one acupoint locating hole corresponding to the human head. The massage and transdermal medicine permeation device is mounted on the massage frame and corresponds to the acupoint locating hole; The liquid medicine delivery device delivers medicines in the liquid medicine storage box to the massage and transdermal medicine permeation devices through the liquid medicine delivery tubes. The massage and transdermal medicine permeation devices can conduct medicine permeation and massage on corresponding acupoints.
