DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING AND VISUALIZING DATA RELATING TO CARDIAC AND PULMONARY CIRCULATION, OBTAINED BY MEANS OF AN ELECTRICAL IMPEDANCE TOMOGRAPHY DEVICE
A medical system (6000) includes an EIT module (30, 33, 8000), a ventilation module (7100), a dosing module (4), a data input module (50) and a control module (70). The control module (70) coordinates a breath-hold maneuver, which is carried out at the ventilation module (7100). The control module (70) coordinates a perfusion measurement and a data acquisition (50) of EIT data (3), which is carried out at the EIT module (30, 33, 8000). The control module (70) determines an indicator, which indicates a state of perfusion of the lungs, and makes this indicator of the state of perfusion of the lungs available.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF WAVE GENERATION FOR TRANSCUTANEOUS VIBRATION
Systems and methods of assisting a subject to reach a target state include obtaining input of the target state of the subject; and generating a transcutaneous vibratory output to be applied to a portion of a body of the subject to assist the subject in achieving the target state, the transcutaneous vibratory output having variable parameters comprising a perceived pitch, a perceived beat, and a perceived intensity wherein the step of generating the transcutaneous vibratory output further comprises the step of modifying the variable parameters to correspond to the target state.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF MITIGATING NEGATIVE EFFECTS OF THERAPIES WITH TRANSCUTANEOUS VIBRATION
Systems and methods to mitigate negative effects of a drug in a treatment of a mental health condition include administering a drug to a subject in a therapy session; determining effects of the drug, the effects being counterproductive to the therapy session; and providing tactile stimulation to a subject with a stimulation device that generates transcutaneous vibratory output to be applied to a portion of a body of the subject during the therapy session, wherein the transcutaneous vibratory output is selected to reduce the counterproductive effects of the drug.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF MULTI-SEGMENT TRANSCUTANEOUS VIBRATORY OUTPUT
Systems and methods of delivering a therapeutic session to affect a mental or an emotional state of a user include providing a wearable stimulation device having a transducer adapted to generate tactile transcutaneous vibratory output; with a user interface, obtaining data regarding an event to be experienced by the user; communicating the data regarding an event to be experienced by the user to a computer processor; with the computer processor, creating a therapeutic session parameters comprising the following steps: assigning a set of contiguous output segments for the event, and based on the event, assigning a perceived pitch of transcutaneous vibratory output and a perceived beat of transcutaneous vibratory output to each output segment; sending, from the computer processor, the therapeutic session parameters to the transducer; and generating, with the transducer, transcutaneous vibratory output for the therapeutic session based on the therapeutic session parameters.
SYSTEMS AND METHDS OF FACILITATING SLEEP STATE ENTRY WITH TRANSCUTANEOUS VIBRATION
Systems and methods of treating a sleep disorder of a subject include providing a therapeutic stimulation device comprising a transducer configured to emit transcutaneous vibratory output to a body part of the subject; generating physiological data with a worn sensor and providing it to a processor; providing a stimulation pattern for transcutaneous vibratory output to be emitted by the transducer comprising a perceived pitch, a perceived beat, and an intensity; causing the transducer to emit the transcutaneous vibratory output in the stimulation pattern; determining if the subject is in a pre-sleep state or a sleep state based on the physiological data; and altering the stimulation pattern based on determining the subject is in at least one of a pre-sleep state or a sleep state comprising at least one of (i) reducing a frequency of the perceived pitch, (ii) increasing an interval of the perceived beat, or (iii) reducing the intensity.
Systems and methods for generating nitric oxide
Systems and methods for nitric oxide generation are provided. In an embodiment, an NO generation system can include a controller and disposable cartridge that can provide nitric oxide to two different treatments simultaneously. The disposable cartridge has multiple purposes including preparing incoming gases for exposure to the NO generation process, scrubbing exhaust gases for unwanted materials, characterizing the patient inspiratory flow, and removing moisture from sample gases collected. Plasma generation can be done within the cartridge or within the controller. The system has the capability of calibrating NO and NO.sub.2 gas analysis sensors without the use of a calibration gas.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING MANDIBULAR ADVANCEMENT AND SLEEP POSITIONAL THERAPY
The present disclosure pertains to a system and method for providing mandibular advancement and sleep positional therapy to a user for a sleep session. The system is formed by a mandibular advancement device for treating obstructive sleep disordered breathing (e.g., obstructive sleep apnea and snoring) that includes an electronics module configured to aid in sleep positional training. The present system and method facilitate advancing a lower jaw of the user into a protruding position relative to an upper jaw of the user to increase a size of an airway of the user, determining whether a posture of the user has breached a posture threshold, and, responsive to a breach, prompting the user to change posture such that the posture of the user no longer breaches the posture threshold.
Positive Pressure Ventilation Microphone
A microphone module for non-invasive ventilation mask includes a microphone housing that defines and adapter configured to be removably inserted into a port of a non-invasive ventilation mask and form a seal with the port. The microphone module includes microphone elements for generating a speech signal and electrical circuitry for transmitting the mic signal to a cable outside the mask. A microphone system includes an audio processing system and the microphone module connected through a cable. The audio processing system receives the speech signal, amplifies the speech signal and outputs the amplified signal to a loudspeaker.
Systems and Methods for Treating Blood
According to some embodiments, a system may treat blood containing metformin outside the body of a patient. The system may include one or more pumps configured to pump blood in a fluid flow path at a collective rate over 4 liters per minute. The system may include one or more heat exchangers operable to heat at least a portion of the blood to a temperature of at least 42 degrees.
