Highly efficient plant irrigation device and method for using the same
A device for efficiently irrigating a number of housing assemblies containing soil and plants. The housing assemblies are vertically mounted on a support structure. An irrigation system provides a flow of water to each of the housing assemblies. Each housing assembly includes an interior shell nested within an exterior shell. The irrigation system delivers the flow of water to two different heights of soil within the interior shell. A user may adjust how water is distributed within each housing assembly by manipulating one of several valves controlling the delivery of water from a main artery to each housing assembly. Water may be selectively and adjustably delivered to a plant containing a shallow root system, or to a different variety plant containing an extended or deep root system as needed. Excess water may be drained from the interior shell and held within a cavity for reabsorption by the soil contained therein.
Stack planter reservoir
A stack planter reservoir retains a volume of water to be pumped through a hydroponic system. The stack planter reservoir includes a reservoir base, a lateral wall, a lid-receiving lip, and a planter-supporting lid. The reservoir base and the later wall define a storage volume for water. The lid-receiving lip is perimetrically connected to the lateral wall to receive the planter-supporting lid. The planter-supporting lid supports a single planter or a plurality of stacking planters. The planter-supporting lid includes a pump outlet to allow fluid transport from the storage volume to the planter or plurality of stacking planters.
HYDROPONIC PLANT CULTIVATING APPARATUS
A hydroponic plant cultivation apparatus including a reservoir having a base defining a first portion of the reservoir and a cover defining a second portion of the reservoir. An upper opening is defined in the cover. A planting column with a hollow interior is positioned above the upper opening. At least one planting port is defined in the planting column. A conduit can pass through the hollow interior of the planting column, the conduit fluidly communicated with the reservoir. A fluid distributor is positioned atop the planting column, the fluid distributor in fluid communication with the conduit. Fluid is selectively circulated from the reservoir through the conduit in the planting column to the fluid distributor, where the fluid is redirected down the hollow interior of the planting column and back to the reservoir. A hydroponic plant cultivation apparatus including a reservoir positioned on a plurality of rollers.
AN AQUAPONICS SYSTEM
A self-contained closed aquaponics system comprises an aquarium tank attached side-by-side to a water container for growing plants, having a shared side. An electrically powered water pump streams the water from the aquarium tank via a pipe to the bottom of a compartment in the water container. When the water in the water tank exceeds a pre-set water level, the water are poured back to the aquarium tank via a recess or slit in the shared side. The compartment may comprise a bio-filter that is a sponge filter, a foam cartridge filter and the undergravel filter. The aquarium tank or the water container may be rectangular or cuboid shaped. A cover adapted to cover the water container may include multiple openings for mounting plants in pot nets therein, where roots of the plants are fed from the fish excretions in the aquarium tank after being filtered by the bio-filter.
PLANT CULTIVATION SYSTEM
A system and method are provided for the indoor and outdoor cultivation of larger fruiting plants. Improved lighting techniques, plant layouts, and space utilization are provided to improve the quality and yields of harvested products from large fruiting plants on a per plant and unit area basis. The uniformity of artificial light is improved from the top to the bottom of tall plants and vines, and overcome the lack of light penetration through the canopy of the plant by changing the orientation of lights from a horizontal to vertical alignment along the side of the plant verses over the top of the canopy, as well as increasing the number of light sources to reduce shading. Plants are trained to grow in specific directions and orientations in a grid system to enable an optimal and uniform light distribution and to improve space utilization in a given growing area.
Modular multi-tiered planter kit
A modular multi-tiered planter kit that comprises two support elements that are fitted for positioning on a surface, perpendicular to the surface and spaced from each other, a plurality of planter assemblies that are fitted for connection in a disassemblable mounting, with the two support elements in a multi-tier configuration, wherein they each extend in an essentially horizontal direction, in the gap between the two support elements, wherein the kit is characterized in that once mounted as stated, the planter assemblies each comprise a unified planter element that serves in each of the planter assemblies, and the planter assemblies comprise one or more from the group of various types of planter assemblies.
Ecological revetment for regulating wandering rivers
The invention belongs to ecological revetments in the technical field of river ecology, which particularly involves an ecological revetment to regulate wandering rivers. The ecological revetment is composed of porous concrete-piles, ecological connecting-plates, an ecological viewing-corridor and a slope green-belt. The ecological landscape-corridor and anchor rod are placed on the upper and middle parts of the pile structure, respectively. In virtue of the innovative structure, the ecological revetment will strengthen the revetment structure, reduce the revetment settlement, prevent the revetment from moving, and enhance the overall stability of the revetment project. The ecological holes exist on the ecological connecting-plates, which is beneficial to the exchange of material and energy from the river course and the bank slope, and the holes could greatly enhance the self-cleaning capacity of the water body. Not only do the plants on the ecological viewing-corridor provide the habitats for the organisms, but also green the revetment.
Self-Watering Planter Tray
A self-watering tray device having an integral internal irrigation system, and a method of watering allowing water to be supplied by means of standard garden water hose and existing water faucet. A plurality of said self-watering trays capable of being daisy-chained in a serial configuration to allow a single source of water from a standard water faucet and standard garden water hoses to provide irrigation water to all of said plurality of self-watering trays and non-self-watering planters positioned thereon.
Method and apparatus for power extraction in a pre-existing AC wiring infrastructure
A method and apparatus for extracting power in a switch location, and in a load location for use in a pre-existing infrastructure of switching AC power to a lamp (or other load) via a two terminal switch device. The switch is replaced with a module including a first controlled switch (such as a triac or relay) and a first impedance (such as a capacitor) connected in parallel, and another module including a second controlled switch (such as a triac or relay) and a second impedance (such as a capacitor) connected in parallel, is installed at the load location. In an off state where the two controlled switches are in open state, current is flowing via the impedances, but not through the load, so that power extractor circuits in the modules, connected in series to the impedances, extract low power for DC powering logic and other loads in the modules.
Air purifier
Disclosed is an air purifier, which comprises a shell with an air inlet and an air outlet, an ecological purification system with a flowerpot assembly, a microorganism box and a water tank arranged in sequence, a filtering system, and a control system for carrying out control. The water of the ecological purification system flows through the filtering system to bring dust and VOCs adsorbed by the filtering system into the ecological purification system for purification. The flowerpot assembly comprises a flowerpot. The water of the water tank enters the flowerpot via a water inlet, and when the water level is higher than a water outlet, the water flows through the microorganism box and then enters the water tank, so as to form the water circulation. The air purifier is simple in structure, easy to operate and low in cost, and has a high purification efficiency for air pollutants, especially VOCs.
