Roller, method of manufacturing the same, and dish washer having the same

A roller is capable of smoothly rotating without any burr on a rolling surface. A dish washer including the roller includes: a case; a basket configured to accommodate dishes; a rail configured to guide the basket to be put into or taken out of the case; and a basket roller coupled with the basket and configured to move along the rail, the basket roller comprising a rolling portion configured to roll in contact with the rail, a first flare portion extending in a first direction from the rolling portion, and a second flare portion extending in a second direction from the rolling portion, the second direction being opposite to the first direction, wherein a diameter of the first flare portion is greater than a diameter of the second flare portion.

A method of manufacturing a composite rim includes following steps of: disposing a composite material on an outer surface of an air bag to form a semi-formed rim, wherein the air bag is a completely closed annular tube without any through opening on the outer surface and contains a thermal expansion material thereinside; disposing the semi-formed rim in a mold; and heating the thermal expansion material so that the thermal expansion material expands and inflates the air bag and the semi-formed rim is then solidified.

Composite wheel construction apparatus and method

A composite wheel structure includes a single continuous fiber reinforcement layer extending axially between inner and outer ends of the wheel structure. The single fiber reinforcement layer is impregnated with different matrix materials at different axial portions of the reinforcement layer to account for specific locations where high strength or high temperature performance is needed, with other portions having different matrix materials where low temperature performance and/or low strength is sufficient. The matrix materials may be provided as separate resin films that are applied side-by-side on the single reinforcement layer, or they may be provided on a single resin film. The matrix materials may be applied to the reinforcement layer in a direct coating process. The reinforcement layer may be prepregged with the matrix materials prior to a wheel layup process, or the reinforcement layer and matrix materials may be consolidated by resin film infusion during the wheel layup process.

Bicycle rims and method of manufacture thereof

A method of manufacturing a rim includes placing at least one braided sleeve on a core dimensioned to define a shape of an internal wall of the rim. The method includes inserting the braided sleeves placed on the core, inside a mold that is dimensioned to define a shape of an external wall shape of the rim. The method further includes injecting a resin inside the mold to contact the mold and impregnate the sleeves and other layers with resin. The method also includes curing the resin to form the internal and external walls of the rim and obtain a cured rim having the core connected thereto. The method further includes removing the cured rim and core from the mold and melting the core to get it out of the rim.

Manufacturing method of molded article including annular resin member

In the primary molding step, the insert core having axially-projecting convex portions aligned apart from one another in the circumferential direction is located in a primary molding die, and the injection molding is performed. In the secondary molding step, the annular internal resin member and the insert core which have undergone the primary molding step are located in a secondary molding die, and the injection molding is performed. Gates for injecting molten resin in a cavity of the secondary molding die are located in the secondary molding die so that welds that are joining points of the molten resin in the secondary molding step are positioned in the radially outside of rib portions.
