Vaporizer
An electronic cigarette or vaporizer may include a shell and a cartomizer receivable within a chamber within a portion of the shell. A basin may be included in the cartomizer to hold a vaporizable fluid, dry substance, or other vaporizable substance such as a wax. A heating element may be provided within the basin which may have a flexible non-conductive material and a flexible conductive material.
VALVE ASSEMBLY, VENTILATOR, PROCESS FOR OPERATING A VALVE ASSEMBLY, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM
A valve assembly, a ventilator, a process for operating a valve assembly and a computer program are provided. The valve assembly (10; 10a; 10b), for the ventilator (100), includes an inlet (12; 12a; 12b) configured for the inflow of a ventilation gas, an outlet (14; 14a; 14b) configured for the outflow of the ventilation gas and a volume flow control device (16; 16a; 16b) for the ventilation gas between the inlet and the outlet. The volume flow control device is configured to set the volume flow of the ventilation gas in a range between shut-off and a maximum volume flow and to provide an attenuation of a volume flow change during the opening, when the volume flow of the ventilation is increased, that differs from an attenuation occurring during the closing, when the volume flow of the ventilation gas is reduced.
Electro-mechanical resuscitating apparatus
The present invention is a mechanical ventilation device which delivers intermittent positive pressure ventilation by compressing AMBU. As the device uses existing AMBU for the ventilation, it is intended to automate the process of hand ventilation and will hence keep the costs and skill requirement low. Due to usage of the AMBU and simple mechanics, it is easy to manufacture and maintain the device.
METHOD FOR PROVIDING MENTAL MASSAGE TO HELP TREAT ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION, AND MASSAGE DEVICE
Disclosed are a method and a device for providing a mental massage to help treat anxiety and depression. According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, a massage device for providing a mental massage to help treat anxiety and depression is disclosed, the device including: a mental state determination unit for determining a mental state on the basis of a biosignal of a user; a mental massage pattern determination unit for determining a mental massage pattern on the basis of the determined mental state; and a mental massage provision unit for providing a massage on the basis of the mental massage pattern.
MECHANICAL VENTILATOR
The present disclosure describes a ventilator. The ventilator includes tubing configured to receive an input gas and a flow outlet airline in fluid communication with the tubing. The flow outlet airline includes an airline outlet, and the flow outlet airline is configured to supply an output gas to a user via the airline outlet. The ventilator includes an aerosol generator in fluid communication with the flow outlet airline. The aerosol generator is configured to receive an input liquid through an inlet tube and transform the liquid input into an aerosol. The ventilator further includes a breath detection airline including an airline inlet, wherein the airline inlet is separated from the airline outlet of the flow outlet airline, and configured to receive breathing gas from the user during exhalation by the user via the airline inlet. A method of supplying respiratory gas containing an aerosol is disclosed.
Surgical gas delivery device with internal gaseous sealing module and filtered tube set therefor
A system for performing an endoscopic surgical procedure in a surgical cavity of a patient that includes a gas delivery device configured to deliver a flow of pressurized gas to a gas delivery lumen extending therefrom, a gaseous sealing module communicating with a distal end of the gas delivery lumen and configured to generate a gaseous seal within a gas sealed lumen extending therefrom, and an access port communicating with a distal end of the gas sealed lumen so as to provide sealed instrument access to the surgical cavity and maintain a stable pressure within the surgical cavity.
Miniature air filtration assembly for a medical field
The present invention is directed to an assembly and method of use thereof for reducing microbial load in an airway of a patient. The assembly includes a miniature vacuum unit. The miniature vacuum unit includes a housing, at least one air inlet configured in the housing for air intake; a vacuum motor for sucking the air through the at least one air inlet; vents configured in the housing for blowing the sucked air out of the housing, a filter media covering inner side of the vents, such as the sucked air passes through the filter media, the filter media configured to retain microbes suspended in the sucked air; and at least one suction tube. The suction tube is having a proximal end and a distal end, the proximal end of the at least one suction tube configured to sealably and releasably coupled to the at least one air inlet, a plurality of apertures configured in the wall of the suction tube near its distal end. The suction tube configured to be positioned within the mouth of the patient.
PORTABLE INHALATION THERAPEUTIC AND INHALATION AND EXHALATION MEASURING DEVICES AND RELATED METHODS
