SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING OF SELF-INFLATING RESUSCITATOR
The self-inflating bag control system is characterized in that it comprises a bag controlling valve which is connected to at least two gas pumps and at least one gas parameter sensor via the gas distribution tubes. It comprises at least one gas pressing device connected to the valve via a gas parameter sensor via gas flow tubes. A control unit with a control panel is connected to the system through a gas sensor, which includes a sub-unit for setting the parameters of the gas flowing into the self-expanding bag, a measuring and analyzing the parameters of the gas flowing in the system by measuring the pressure and volume of the gas from the as parameters sensor, and a warn-alarm sub-unit, which generates a warning and/or alarm signal on the basis of the gas parameters read from the measurement and analysis subunit.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR COMFORTING AN ANIMAL
An animal comfort accessory for use with an animal enclosure includes a cover configured to fit over the animal's enclosure to decrease noise and light for the animal in the enclosure. A scent blower moves air past a scent collector and delivers a soothing sent to the animal inside the enclosure. The scent blower and cover are contained in a pouch for convenient storage and travel. Additional accessories such as a speaker, camera, and video display may also be stored in the pouch and used with the animal to provide a comforting space for the animal.
Tubing set having a gate for the connection of vials
A tubing set suitable for use in co-operation with a hemodialysis machine includes an out-tube for supplying the blood from the patient to a filter of the machine, an in-tube for supplying the blood from the filter back to the patient, a drip chamber placed along one of the tubes, adapted to let the blood drip through an air buffer, and a vial gate for the connection of vials containing drugs to be delivered into the blood. The vial gate includes a delivery lumen, suitable for delivering the drug from the vial to the drip chamber, and a vent lumen, suitable for providing air inside the vial in order to replace the delivered drug.
Methods and systems for waste gas detection in an anesthetic vaporizer
Systems and methods are provided for detecting and sequestering waste anesthetic gases released by an anesthetic vaporizer. In one embodiment, a method for an anesthetic vaporizer installed in an anesthesia machine includes detecting an emission of waste anesthetic gases (WAGs) from the anesthetic vaporizer, and responsive to detecting the emission of WAGs, performing at least one of scavenging the WAGs and outputting an alert.
Powder Delivery Devices
A nasal delivery device for delivering substance to a nasal cavity of a subject, the delivery device comprising: a substance supply unit for supplying a dose of substance to be delivered to the nasal cavity of the subject, the substance supply unit including an inlet and an outlet; a nosepiece unit including a nosepiece for fitting to a nasal cavity of the subject and being in fluid communication with the outlet of the substance supply unit; and a mouthpiece unit including a mouthpiece in fluid communication with the inlet of the substance supply unit and through which the subject in use exhales such as to entrain substance from the container chamber and deliver the same through the nosepiece, and at least one temperature modifier for reducing a temperature of the exhaled air flow such as to reduce the absolute humidity thereof.
PHARMACEUTICAL SUSPENSIONS CONTAINING DRUG PARTICLES, DEVICES FOR THEIR ADMINISTRATION, AND METHODS OF THEIR USE
The invention features a pharmaceutical suspension containing drug particles, a drug delivery device anchored in the mouth for continuously administering the pharmaceutical suspension, and methods of their use.
CAPSULE FOR FLUID SAMPLING AND DRUG DELIVERY
The present invention provides a capsule for fluid sampling and drug delivery including: an enclosure; a sampling/drug delivery assembly, including a storage chamber arranged in the enclosure, a first one-way element and a second one-way element communicating with outside of the capsule and the storage chamber, and a pump changing pressure in the storage chamber, wherein the first one-way element and the second one-way element have same direction of access; and a control module, including a microprocessor in communication with the pump. The capsule can realize multiple times of sampling and drug delivery by means of control flow direction of sample or drug through the first one-way element and the second one-way element, and by changing the pressure of the storage chamber through the pump.
STABLE-FOAM INHALATION DEVICE AND CARTRIDGE
A battery-operated foam inhalation device which comprises a cartridge (610) having a liquid for producing a foam and a foam outlet (654). Agitation means agitates the liquid to produce the foam, and the agitation means comprises an electric motor (762) and a battery (760) for energising the electric motor (762). A carrier (672) receives the cartridge (610) and has a carrier foam inlet (680) for fluid communication with the foam outlet (654) of the cartridge (610). A carrier foam outlet (682) dispenses the foam to a user.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR TREATING RESPIRATORY DISORDERS
Methods and apparatus infer or indicate sleep stage(s) of a patient from a respiratory flow rate signal of the patient. The method may include applying a plurality of detection pathways to a signal representing a respiratory flow rate of the patient, wherein each detection pathway is configured to generate start events and end events indicating start times and end times of episodes respectively of a corresponding sleep stage, wherein each start event and each end event has a priority; and combining the start events and end events based on their priorities to produce an indication of the sleep stage of the patient. The apparatus may include a sensor configured to generate a signal representing a property of a flow of air within a patient interface; and a processor configured to implement a method of inferring a sleep stage of the patient from the signal.
INTRAVENOUS INJECTION AID FOR INDICATING VEIN
The present invention relates to the intravenous injection aid for indicating vein, comprising: a compression strap; a binding means disposed at the opposite ends of the compression strap; a near-infrared lamp disposed at the compression strap; and a controller disposed on the compression strap for controlling the near-infrared lamp. The present invention as mentioned above may not only indicates vein with high visibility but also keep the vein from swaying or moving even during intravenous injection, so the intravenous injection can be carried out safely and efficiently.
