VALVE FOR FLUID EJECTOR
A valve assembly for a dental suction system. The valve assembly includes a valve body having an inlet, an outlet and a fluid flow path extending between the inlet and the outlet. The valve assembly also includes a valve plug positioned at least partially within the valve body and including a through-passage. The valve plug is rotatable relative to the valve body to selectively alter a flow of fluid along the fluid flow path. The fluid flow path exhibits a varied cross-sectional area along a length of the fluid flow path.
COMPENSATED SPLIT VENTILATOR CIRCUIT
In response to the global shortages of medical ventilator due to emergence of COVID-19 pandemic, the expansion of ventilator availability can be realized by having a Compensated Split Ventilator Circuit fitted into a mechanical ventilator. Hence, a single ventilator may be shared by two patients simultaneously with moderately different lung resistances and compliances. The Compensated Split Ventilator Circuit enables for differential gas volume between two patients by adjusting the valves in the inspiratory and expiratory circuits to control the optimized amount of gas flow to each patient individually. Embodiments of the present invention may be implemented using off-the-shelf medical-grade components to ensure product durability and patient safety.
Electronic gaming system and method of providing progressive jackpot play
A gaming system is provided, including a jackpot server and a gaming server. The jackpot server accumulates respective contributions from gaming client devices into a progressive jackpot. The gaming server presents wagering games to a player on a gaming client device. The wagering games include a first wagering game having a progressive jackpot component, and a second wagering game not having a progressive jackpot component. The gaming server receives a jackpot token from the player, including a token identification associated with the player and a progressive jackpot identification correlating to a token progressive jackpot. A wager is received for the second wagering game, which is conducted such that the player participates in the token progressive jackpot. The gaming server transmits a message to the jackpot server, including a portion of the wager as a contribution to the token progressive jackpot and an outcome of the second wagering game.
BREATHING GAS MEASURING DEVICE
A respiratory air measuring device is provided through which a measuring air stream flows for measuring at least one component of the respiratory air of a patient. The respiratory air measuring device includes a sensor device and a flow generator disposed downstream for generating a measuring air stream. A flow nozzle is disposed in a channel portion to affect flow, wherein a generator air stream coming from the flow nozzle creates the measuring air stream. The respiratory air measuring device may be partially disassembled for effective cleaning.
Cold and heat exchange system for cardiac surgical operation with cardiac arrest
A cold and heat exchange system for a cardiac surgical operation with cardiac arrest, comprising: an ice water tank (15), a primary circulation water tank (11), and a secondary circulation water tank (16). Side walls of the primary circulation water tank (11) and the secondary circulation water tank (16) are each provided with an overflow orifice which is connected to the ice water tank (15) through a circulation pipe (14). A first roller pump (12) is mounted on a first hose (13). A second roller pump (18) is mounted on a second hose (17). The primary circulation water tank (11) is mounted on a first loop (5) and a second loop (6). The secondary circulation water tank (16) is mounted on a third loop (1).

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR HYPOXIC GAS DELIVERY FOR ALTITUDE TRAINING AND ATHLETIC CONDITIONING
A flow therapy apparatus can provide a hypoxic flow of gases to a user, for altitude training, athletic performance training, and other indications. The system can include an apparatus that can include a gas conduit, an ambient air inlet, and a hypoxic gas source inlet configured to connect to a hypoxic gas source and configured to create a hypoxic gas composition upon mixing of ambient air and the hypoxic gas. The system can also include a user interface, and a gas flow generation element configured to deliver the hypoxic gas composition to nares of the user at a predetermined flow rate of at least about 10 liters/minute. Methods are also disclosed.
Disinfecting Methods and Apparatus
According to one implementation an apparatus for bacterially disinfecting a surface is provided. The apparatus includes a flexible body that contains therein at least one radially emitting optical fibers that is configured to emit bacterial disinfecting light. The radially emitting fibers having an axial and/or radial freedom of movement within a channel in which it is housed inside the flexible body such that when the flexible body changes shape the axial and/or radial freedom of movement reduces the amount of tensile stress applied along the length of the radially as compared to an amount of tensile stress that would otherwise be applied to the radially emitting fiber in an absence of the axial and/or radial freedom of movement of the radially emitting fiber inside the channel.

IRRIGATION DAY CASSETTE
A phacoemulsification console including two cassettes within the system for use during cataract surgery. An irrigation cassette which is retained in the system for the duration of surgical procedures and an aspiration cassette which is replaced after each and every surgical procedure. The irrigation cassette is connected to the aspiration cassette via a valve having elastomeric properties.
