An example lid assembly may include a lid and a slider. The slider may be configured to move between a closed position where the slider covers a container opening to aid in preventing spilling of contents of the container and an opened position where the slider uncovers the opening such that the contents of the container may be released. The slider may include at least one slider positioning magnet and at least one lid positioning magnet that may be configured to lock the slider in the closed position and lock the slider in the opened position. The magnets may have a length and a width that are equal to each other.

A closure (1) with a shell (2) for securement to a container neck (11) and a lid (3) pivotally connected to the shell (2) by a pair of hinge elements (6). A hinge line (50) in the side wall (5) delineates a deformable latch (8) having an external grip tab (80) and an internal engaging tab (82) between the grip tab (80) and a top wall (4) of the lid (3). The grip tab (80) extends radially from a side wall (5) of the lid (3) and the engaging tab (82) engages a lip (13) surrounding the mouth of the container neck (11). The deformable latch (8) is configured to deform along the hinge line (50) when an opening force is applied to the grip tab (80), thereby to disengage the engaging tab (82) from the lip (13) of the container neck (11).

Containers and closures

A closure may have a top wall and a side wall depending from the top wall. A plug seal device may depend from said top wall within the side wall. The plug seal device may have an upper section, a lower section, and a sealing section proximate the boundary between the upper section and the lower section. The sealing section is operable such that when the plug seal device is inserted in an opening to an inner cavity in a container, the sealing section engages with an inner container surface to provide a seal between an inner cavity of the container and the external environment.

A secure container cover for a container and manufacturing method therefore are provided. The secure container cover includes an integrally molded body with an annular structure and a side wall. The annular structure includes a central void defined by an intermediate perimeter, and a graspable loop integrally formed with the annular structure is configured to reside within the central void. A tear initiation point is formed where the graspable loop joins the annular structure. A thin section extends from the tear initiation point to a bottom edge of the side wall. The graspable loop is detachably connected to the annular structure at a bridging section. The bridging section is configured to break when an upward biasing force is applied to the graspable loop, and the side wall is configured to separate along the thin section when the graspable loop is pulled away from the body of the secure container cover.
