STICKBAIT FISHING LURE AND PROCESS OF FORMING AN IMPROVED STICKBAIT FISHING LURE
20210298279 · 2021-09-30 ·

A stickbait fishing lure includes an outer covering and an internal structure molded within the outer covering. The internal structure is of a material that is configured to be punctured by a fishing hook. With this configuration, a fishing hook can be passed through the outer covering and puncture the material of the internal structure. The internal structure helps secure the fishing hook within the fishing lure by providing an internal reinforcement that inhibits the inserted hook from ripping away from the fishing lure or otherwise tearing the outer covering.

Fishing lures having elastomeric portions

An elastomeric fishing lure is provided having a flexible body portion having first and second ends, wherein the body portion defines an axis extending along the centerline of the body portion. The elastomeric fishing lure has at least one elongate slot in the body portion, the at least one elongate slot defining first and second ends and a slot length extending therebetween, the at least one elongate slot defining a pair of opposed sidewalls, wherein the distance between the opposed sidewalls defines a slot width, the at least one elongate slot extending through the body portion along at least a portion of the slot length.

FISHING ROD

A fishing rod includes a rod section and a fitting having a securing portion, the fitting being firmly secured to the rod section without inhibiting bending of the rod section, the securing portion having an excellent outer appearance. On a securing portion of a fishing line guide placed on the rod section, a prepreg sheet formed of plain-woven reinforcement fibers impregnated with a thermosetting resin is wound to secure the fishing line guide. The prepreg sheet is wound and secured so that, with respect to an axial direction, reinforcement fibers are in oblique directions, and intersecting angles of the reinforcement fibers in a winding region on a part of the rod section located beyond a distal end of the securing portion are smaller than those of the reinforcement fibers in a winding region on the securing portion.

A lure includes one or more cores having a surface shape and coloration configured to represent an anatomy of a food for a game fish with one or more outer portions of translucent material disposed thereabout. The outer portion is at least partially flexible with one or more outer fins and/or tails configured to cause the lure to move through water in conformance with a mode of transit. The core presents a three-dimensional appearance of a schooling baitfish, a bottom baitfish, a crustacean, an amphibian, a worm, a grub, an insect, a spider, a leech, or another creature that is attractive to fish. The core may include a surface shape and/or coloration that represents a mouth, an eye, a fin, and/or one or more gills or opercles. The core may be formed around a rigid object such as a hook, a line leader, or a weight.

ARTIFICIAL BAIT MATERIAL WITH INTEGRAL TYING THREAD, METHOD OF MAKING AND MOLD
20240008465 · 2024-01-11 · ·

An artificial bait material for use in a simulated bait assembly. The artificial bait material includes a body that is formed from a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) such as PLASTISOL. In addition, the artificial bait material include a thread component having a first portion that is formed within the body of the artificial bait material, and a second portion that extends out of and away from the body. In this configuration, for example, the material can be used to form a fly lure by tying the second portion of the thread component directly to the hook or barb of the lure with fly tying thread, without having to wrap either thread around the body of the artificial bait material. As a result, the fly tying thread can be tightly tied to the hook or barb without risk of cutting through the body of the artificial bait material.
