METHOD FOR BONDING RUBBER AND ADHESIVE FOR BONDING RUBBER
The invention relates to a high-strength and permanently elastic curable adhesive for bonding at least two surfaces, of which at least one surface is a surface of a permanently elastic plastic, wherein the adhesive is an adhesive that cures in at least two different hardening mechanisms, wherein the first hardening mechanism comprises a chemical reaction to form a chemical bond including a sulphur atom, and the second hardening mechanism comprises the formation of crystalline structures from amorphous polymers. The invention also relates to a method for high-strength and permanently elastic bonding of at least two surfaces to one another, of which at least one surface is that of a permanently elastic plastic, by means of such an adhesive, said method comprising the steps of: applying the adhesive to at least a first of the surfaces to be connected, ensuring conditions under which at least the first hardening mechanism of the adhesive can take place, bringing the first surface into contact with the second surface, and ensuring conditions under which the second hardening mechanism of the adhesive can take place.
ELEVATOR BELT AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A belt for suspending and/or driving an elevator car includes a plurality of tension elements extending along a length of the belt and a plurality of belt fibers transverse to the plurality of tension elements and interlaced therewith. The belt fibers define at least one traction surface of the belt. An edge fiber is located at a lateral end of the belt transverse to and secured to the plurality of belt fibers to secure the belt fibers in a selected position.
AUTOMATIC CONTROL PANEL FOR VULCANIZING PRESS AND METHOD OF USING THEREOF
An automatic control unit for field vulcanizing press is provided. The control unit helps to monitor and control all three essential vulcanizing parameters viz. temperature, pressure and time, either locally or through remote access. Data logging, local monitoring & control of vulcanizing parameters or remote monitoring and control of vulcanizing parameters using a smart device are the major features of this control unit in which remote monitoring and control of vulcanizing parameters is the unique feature of this control unit. A video recording unit is also provided to record entire splicing operation and also there is option for online video streaming facility and it will help to monitor the entire splicing operation from a remote-control station.
Method for manufacturing a rubber pellet, a rubber pellet as well as a product manufactured from such rubber pellet
The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a pellet, comprising a) providing residual rubber powder from i rubber disintegration process; b) providing a pelletizing system, including a pelletizer and a cooling device; c) feeding the residual rubber powder as at least part of a feed material, into a pelletizer; d) providing the rubber powder in an amount between 50% and 100%; i) applying a pressure to the residual rubber for a predetermined process duration; f) releasing the pelletized rubber and cooling the pelletized rubber at a cooling rate dependent on the operational temperature of the pelletizer.
SUPERHYDROPHOBIC PLASTIC CONVEYOR COMPONENTS AND METHODS FOR THEIR MOLDING
Superhydrophobic conveyor belt components and methods for molding those components out of thermoplastic polymers. The plastic components have superhydrophobic regions on outer surfaces that shed aqueous solutions and remain dry. The water-shedding regions are textured with a nano- or micro-structure that is rough enough to endow the region with superhydrophobic properties.
Multi-material conveyor component
A conveyor component comprises a thermoformable portion chemically bonded to an injection molded base portion. A surface of the thermoformable portion is prepared for bonding. Then an injection moldable material is injected onto the prepared surface to form the injection molded base portion.
THREE-DIMENSIONAL PAPERMAKING BELT
Provided are papermaking belts comprising a plurality of 3-D printed modules comprising first and second machine direction extending arms that may be interdigitated with one another and joined by a linkage pin. The 3-D printed modules generally have protuberances and apertures to facilitate molding and dewatering of the embryonic tissue web during manufacture. The protuberances are joined to, and extend from, the first web contacting surface of the module and are integrally formed therewith. In this manner the web contacting surface of the belt comprises a first and a second plane, where the second plane is generally defined by the upper surface plane of the protuberances. The apertures, which generally consist of both intra-module and inter-module apertures, allow water to be removed from a tissue web during manufacture.
METHOD FOR BONDING RUBBER AND ADHESIVE FOR BONDING RUBBER
The invention relates to a high-strength and permanently elastic curable adhesive for bonding at least two surfaces, of which at least one surface is a surface of a permanently elastic plastic wherein the adhesive is an adhesive that cures in at least two different hardening mechanisms, wherein the first hardening mechanism comprises a chemical reaction to form a chemical bond including a sulphur atom, and the second hardening mechanism comprises the formation of crystalline structures from amorphous polymers.
Belt splicing apparatus and method
A portable conveyor belt splicing apparatus is provided that includes an upper press assembly and a lower press assembly which include, respectively, upper and lower platen assemblies. The upper and lower press assemblies may each include a forced air cooling system for rapidly cooling platens of the platen assemblies. The upper and lower press assemblies may include insulating assemblies with resilient members that support the upper and lower press assemblies. The resilient members provide structural support and insulate the platens from the frame which reduces the power required to heat the platens. In one form, the apparatus includes a power supply circuit that can alternate between providing power to upper and lower heaters in response to the apparatus being connected to different types of standard power supplies. Further, the power supply circuit permits the use of a single recipe for a particular belt irrespective of the type of power supply.
