Injection moulding method and system for forming an oven liner as well as oven liner
The present invention relates to an injection moulding system for forming an oven liner, particularly of the type that is used with microwave ovens. Oven liners are of particular benefit when used inside microwave ovens. They improve hygiene as where food spills or spurts onto the oven liner rather than an interior of the microwave oven. An injection moulding system for forming an oven liner includes: a first mould tool which defines a cavity of length (L), width (W) and height (H), the first mould tool has a substantially rectangular end face with dimensions corresponding to the width (W) and height (H) of the cavity and has a hot feed located at a centroid of its end face; and a wedge collapsing tool is received in the cavity so as to contact and engage with an external periphery of the first mould tool at selected locations in order to define a volume into which hot material feed is injected, wherein the wedge collapsing tool comprises a first part and a second part in slidable contact one with another, and the width (W2) of the second part exceeds the width (W1) of the first part of the wedge collapsing tool by at least 0.1 mm so that a split line is formed on at least one side of an interior surface of the oven liner.
Method and system for blowing a parison
A production method for blowing a container starting from a parison comprising the steps of: i) positioning a parison inside a forming mould (2) for forming the container; ii) deforming the parison (10) placed in the mould (2); the step of deforming the parison (10) comprising the sub-steps of: introducing a pressurised fluid into the parison (10) placed in the mould (2); sucking gas which is located inside the mould (2) and outside the parison (10) present in the mould (2).
Liner and Composite Tank Assembly Method
An improved liner for a container in which gases, liquids, or powders are stored. The liner is a multi-layer structure made in a roto molding machine. The liner includes a first outer layer made of metallocene polyethylene, an intermediate gas and liquid impermeable layer, and one or more inner layers made of thermoplastic material compatible with the material stored inside the container. During the molding process, the three layers are made sequentially with the second and third layers being bonded and fused to the adjacent layer to form a uniform composite layer. The outer layer is made of metallocene polyethylene with superior rigidity and relatively low coefficient of thermal expansion making the liner less susceptible to cracking and useful as a layup structure for molding a structure around it. The liner is then used as a layup structure for outer fibers and infused resin.
Fluoropolymer molded article
Provided is a large-size injection molded article which is obtained by injection molding a composition containing a heat-meltable fluoropolymer. Specifically, provided is a large-size injection molded article, which can be molded at a lower injection pressure as compared with a conventional PFA and obtained by molding a composition superior in mold release characteristics from a metal mold. This large-size injection molded article is superior in, particularly, heat resistance and chemical resistance, as well as dimensional accuracy, for a substrate processing apparatus. Provided is an injection molded article, having a projection area in an injection direction of 1100 cm.sup.2 or more, obtained by injection molding a composition containing a heat-meltable fluoropolymer. It is a preferable aspect that the composition including a heat-meltable fluoropolymer is a composition containing a melt moldable tetrafluoroethylene/fluoroalkoxytrifluoroethylene copolymer having an MFR over 60 g/10 minutes.
Methods and apparatus for repairing composite materials
A method of bonding materials may comprise defining a bond interface between two materials in a cure zone on a surface of an object and heating the bond interface with sound waves. Heating the bond interface may include applying ultrasonic sound waves to the bond interface.
Removable fluid barrier
A removable fluid barrier comprises a generally planar flexible body fabricated of at least one resilient material and encapsulating a plurality of permanent magnets. The flexible body has an outer face defining a sealing surface of the removable fluid barrier.
Bulk bag bottom and discharge assembly including a reinforcer
A bottom and discharge assembly for a flexible fabric bulk bag of the type having heat sealed joints includes a piece of reinforcing fabric positioned under a heat sealed joint of a bottom portion and a discharge tube, around a periphery of a discharge tube opening and bottom opening that are each substantially square, wherein the reinforcing fabric prevents bag failure at or about at corners of the bottom opening and discharge tube opening. The assembly can be formed by overlapping the reinforcing fabric, discharge tube, and bottom portion so that the bottom is heat sealed to both a portion of the discharge tube fabric and a portion of the reinforcing fabric and wherein a portion of the reinforcing fabric is under the discharge tube and bottom joint, and wherein the discharge tube fabric and reinforcing fabric are not joined together.
Methods and apparatus for lining process tanks
Disclosed herein are exemplary embodiments of linings, liners, and methods of providing a liner or lining for a tank. An exemplary embodiment includes a method of providing a liner or lining for a tank. In this exemplary embodiment, the method includes extrusion welding a pair of sheets together by infusing a molten thermoplastic material along an interface and within a gap between the pair of sheets. The method also includes extrusion welding the pair of sheets to a bottom sheet by infusing the molten thermoplastic material along and between the pair of sheets and the bottom sheet.
A COMPOSITE VESSEL ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A composite vessel assembly includes a circumferentially continuous wall and an end cap. The wall includes a plurality of layers, and the end cap includes a plurality of steps. Each step of the plurality of steps is engaged to a respective layer of the plurality of layers.
Liquid tank including integrated surface structure
A liquid tank includes a tank wall enclosing a tank volume and at least one relief structure facing the tank volume on an inner side of the tank wall. The relief structure is formed as one-piece with the tank wall. Two shell parts can be joined along a joining surface to make a section of the tank wall. One of the shell parts can include a tank bottom. At least one part of the relief structure can be formed on the tank bottom. The relief structure can include projections protruding into the tank volume along a local direction of projection.
