MULTI-CUP ARRANGEMENT FOR FOODSTUFF PACKAGING
The present invention provides a multi-cup arrangement comprising a polypropylene sheet, wherein the polypropylene sheet comprises at least two cavities, the cavities each protruding from the sheet from a bottom surface of the sheet, wherein the cavities are separated from each other via one or more spacer area(s) on the sheet, wherein the spacer area(s) each comprise one or more groove(s) on the bottom surface of the sheet that are positioned to allow the sheet to be broken along the groove by bending the sheet towards the top surface, wherein the grooves are positioned to divide the sheet into multiple segments, each segment comprising one or more cavities, wherein each of the groove(s) has a maximum depth of ≥25% and ≤80% with regard to the thickness of the polypropylene sheet. Such multi-cup arrangement may be separated into individual cup segments by moderate manual force, whilst the arrangement does not undesirably bend nor snap under the action of its own weight.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR FORMING CONTAINER AND CONTAINER
The present invention provides a receptacle molding apparatus, a receptacle and a receptacle molding method. The receptacle molding apparatus, which is for molding a receptacle by means of heat molding, comprises: a first mold portion comprising a body molding part, which is for molding a body of a receptacle, a skirt molding part, which extends upward from the body molding part so as to mold a skirt of the receptacle, and a flange molding part which extends in the direction from the upper end of the skirt molding part toward the outside so as to mold the lower surface of a flange of the receptacle; and a second mold portion which is provided above the first mold portion, can move vertically and enable pressure-molding of the upper surface of the flange, and has a pressing surface for pressing a sheet which is to be molded into the flange from above at a position corresponding to the flange molding part. The pressing surface comprises an extension part which is a part extending further than the inner end part of the flange molding part in the direction toward the center of the body molding part.
HEAT-RESISTANT MULTILAYER CONTAINER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
A multilayer container including: an outermost layer (1) containing a propylene-based polymer A containing homopolypropylene as a main component having a melt flow rate in a range of 2.0 to 10.0 g/10 min; an inner layer (2) containing 50 to 99% by weight of a propylene-based polymer B containing homopolypropylene as a main component having a melt flow rate of not more than 5.0 g/10 min and an isotactic index of not less than 93%, and 1 to 50% by weight of an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer C; and a barrier layer (4) occupying 5 to 20% by weight of the whole container. The ratio (L/D) of container height (L) to diameter (D) is not less than 0.5, and a volume shrinkage based on volume measured before and after heat sterilization at 121° C. for 30 minutes is not more than 5%.
Mold changing apparatus
A molding changing apparatus having a holder, a cooling plate, and a mold set coupled to the cooling plate is disclosed. The cooling plate has at least one connecting pin disposed on the surface which is reverse to the surface where the mold set is disposed, and the holder has at least one pneumatic pin receptacle disposed thereon. The connecting pin of the cooling plate can be inserted into the connecting hole of the pneumatic pin receptacle of the holder, and the connecting pin is fastened by the pneumatic pin receptacle, thereby connecting the mold set and the cooling plate to the holder. Through the use of the connecting pin and the pneumatic pin receptacle, the mold set and the cooling plate on the holder can be changed rapidly and the efficiency of the plastic vacuum forming with mold sets is enhanced.
Coated hot drink cup
A cup or food container has a coating formed of a styrene acrylic copolymer emulsion. There may be one or more coating layers on the inside surface of the cup or container. Importantly, the cup or container does not have any petroleum-based paraffin or polymer material or functionally similar hydrogenated triglyceride material coated on or incorporated in the cup or container. The paper substrate onto which the styrene acrylic copolymer emulsion is coated must have adequate sizing incorporated therein so that the coating forms a relatively smooth surface. Differently-sourced paper may require different amounts of sizing according to the particular paper being used. The cup or container may have a primer coating applied thereto before the styrene acrylic copolymer is coated on. Optionally, the uncoated paper stock that forms the cup or food container is calendared between rolls before coating.
METHOD FOR BLOW MOLDING CONTAINERS
A method for blow molding a container includes heating a central region of a preformed puck to a first temperature, and heating an annular region surrounding the central region of the preformed puck to a second temperature that is greater than the first temperature. The heated preformed puck is arranged at an upper end of a mold cavity of a mold that defines an outer shape of the container. The heated preformed puck is secured to the upper end of the mold cavity. The heated reformed puck is stretched by pressing a plunger into the heated preformed puck and into the mold cavity in a longitudinal direction of the mold cavity toward a lower end of the mold cavity. Pressurized air is then applied to the mold cavity so that the heated preformed puck stretches to conform to the shape of the inner wall of the mold cavity.
INSULATED CONTAINER
A container includes a cup formed to include and interior region and an insulated sleeve. The insulated sleeve is coupled to an outer surface of the cup.
