Collapsible household containers
Collapsible household containers having a foldable wall section with shape-retaining characteristics are disclosed. In particular, collapsible laundry baskets, buckets, colanders, dish drainers, and cups are provided. The folding region may include foldable tiers of a flexible material, each tier having at least one stable, relatively expanded position and at least one stable, relatively collapsed position; and an intervening, non-folding tier composed of a different, relatively rigid material.
Coated Hot Drink Cup
A cup or food container has a coating formed of a styrene acrylic copolymer emulsion. There may be one or more coating layers on the inside surface of the cup or container. Importantly, the cup or container does not have any petroleum-based paraffin or polymer material or functionally similar hydrogenated triglyceride material coated on or incorporated in the cup or container. The paper substrate onto which the styrene acrylic copolymer emulsion is coated must have adequate sizing incorporated therein so that the coating forms a relatively smooth surface. Differently-sourced paper may require different amounts of sizing according to the particular paper being used. The cup or container may have a primer coating applied thereto before the styrene acrylic copolymer is coated on. Optionally, the uncoated paper stock that forms the cup or food container is calendared between rolls before coating.
METHOD OF FORMING AN ARTICLE
Methods of forming an article from a molten plastic composition comprising a polymer and a blowing agent. The methods include injecting the molten plastic composition into a mould, allowing the plastic composition to form a first solid skin adjacent to an in contact with a first cavity-forming surface of the mould and a second solid skin adjacent to and in contact with a second cavity-forming surface of the mould, and then opening the mould before the molten plastic composition between the first and second solid skins in at least one portion of the circumference of a region of the mould cavity defining an annular cross-section of the cavity has solidified.
FLUID DELIVERY ASSEMBLY FOR A SPRAY GUN
The present application is directed to a container (20) for holding paint. The container comprises at least two fluid ports (23, 40). The container has a body that is shape self supporting and is a non-rigid construction. At least one fluid port is a separate part (40) from the body of the container.
FLUID DELIVERY ASSEMBLY FOR A SPRAY GUN
The invention relates to a fluid delivery assembly (1) for a spray gun, the assembly comprising a container (20) for holding paint. The container is self-supporting and configured to collapse as fluid is dispensed via the spray gun, wherein the container comprises at least one vent (26). The invention further relates to a spray gun including such fluid delivery assembly, a method of forming the container and a thermo/vacuum forming tool to be used in such method.
IMPROVEMENTS IN METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR INTEGRAL DOUBLE-WALLED CONTAINER STRUCTURES
A method and apparatus for the formation of double-walled containers includes two integrally connected containers extending in the same direction with an air gap between them, stretch-blow moulded as single bodies out of thermoplastic material, and suitable for mass-production. A thermoplastic tubular blank is formed and then heat-conditioned. The heat-conditioned tubular blank is then mechanically stretched longitudinally and blow-formed outwards by gas pressure to form first and second containers. A piston and mould cavity cooperate to further mould the containers such that the second smaller container side wall(s) are at least substantially not in contact with the second container shaped mould cavity set and may be inverted inside-out, while the second smaller container bottom wall at least substantially does not invert, in order for the second smaller container to become a substantially mirror-image inverted second smaller container extending in the same direction as, and interior to, the first container.
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING RESIN CONTAINER PART, MOLD UNIT, AND BLOW MOLDING MACHINE INCLUDING THE MOLD UNIT
A method for manufacturing a resin container part includes: injection-molding of a bottomed resin preform including, on a bottom portion thereof, a thick bulging portion that retains residual heat by which the bulging portion is deformable by being pressed to follow a shape of a blow cavity mold; and a blowing including stretching a body portion of the preform by applying a blow pressure to the preform and forming a joint portion by pressing the bulging portion of the preform with an upper bottom mold to deform the bulging portion to follow the shape of the blow cavity mold.
Method for manufacturing foam molded article, and foam molded article
The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a molded foam product which can reduce or prevent blisters and crinkles on the surface even in the case of manufacturing a molded product designed to have a small thickness, thereby giving a molded foam product having excellent heat insulation while avoiding an increase in the amounts of materials used. The method for manufacturing a molded foam product according to the present invention includes the steps of: injecting, during injection molding, a molten resin containing a supercritical fluid or a chemical foaming agent into a cavity formed in a mold that includes a movable portion; and moving the movable portion to increase the volume of the cavity before the molten resin injected into the cavity completely solidifies, the mold alternately including, in a direction from a resin injection port to the periphery of the cavity, first linear portions each giving a large gap size in the cavity and second linear portions each giving a small gap size in the cavity.
RECYCLABLE, HIGH BARRIER SHEET AND TRAY
An improved sheet for making a three-dimensional article for holding food, such as a food tray, and a method of making a three-dimensional article. The sheet comprises a substrate and a laminate film. The laminate film may comprise a ceramic film and a copolymer layer. The copolymer layer can repair any cracks that occur in the ceramic film when the sheet is thermoformed. The food tray is considered a single material that is recyclable.
Thermoforming machine
A thermoforming machine for manufacturing articles from a heated thermoplastic film includes a molding station, an extraction device, a hole punch; and a stacking station. The hole punch includes a pivotable lower punching tool which receives punched-out articles from the extraction device while being pivoted into a tilted position facing the extraction device and which pivots into a vertical 0 position to face an upper punching tool for punching operation.
