The present paper cup comprises a cup body, and the cup body comprises inner paper and outer paper. There are hollow bulges on the outer paper, and the outer paper forms a connecting part. The inner side of the connecting part bonds to the outer side of the inner paper, and the cup rim of the outer paper extends to the cup rim of the inner paper. In addition, the outer side of the cup rim of the inner paper bonds to the inner side of the outer paper, and both cup rims of the outer paper and the inner paper bend outward to form a double layered crimping. The manufacturing process for the present paper cup includes: paper preparation, rolling, composition, sheet cutting, forming, molding and etc.

Disclosed, among other things, are ways to manufacture reduced density thermoplastics using rapid solid-state foaming and machines useful for the saturation of plastic. In one embodiment, a foaming process may involve saturating a semi-crystalline polymer such as Polylactic Acid (PLA) with high levels of gas, and then heating, which may produce a reduced density plastic having high levels of crystallinity. In another embodiment, a foaming process may produce layered structures in reduced density plastics with or without integral skins. In another embodiment, a foaming process may produce deep draw structures in reduced density plastics with or without integral skins. In yet another embodiment, a foaming process may utilize additives, blends, or fillers, for example. In yet another embodiment, a foaming process may involve saturating a semi-crystalline polymer such as Polylactic Acid (PLA) with high levels of gas, and then heating, which may produce a reduced density plastic having high levels of crystallinity.

The flange stabilizer (10) is disc-shaped and has an inner contour (12) corresponding to the desired cross-sectional shape of the shaped article (1) in the region of the opening and can be slipped over the body (4) in the region of the bottom (2) and up to the flange (6). The flat sides (16, 18) of the flange stabilizer (10) extend essentially parallel to the flange (6), defining and stabilizing the cross-sectional shape of the body (4) in the region of the opening and the flange.

The A mold having a series of corresponding segmented surfaces similarly constructed and arranged to mate with the B mold. Closed-ended flutes are disposed on an inner wall surface of each segmented surface on either the A or B mold. A core insert is disposed within but having a space thereinbetween inner wall surfaces of the top and B mold and abutting the closed A mold portion and closed B mold portion creating a seal off.
