PLURAL NESTED PREFORM ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE

A plural preform assembly having nested preforms. The preforms are held together by an interference fit. The interference fit is provided by the friction between the preforms which occurs when the inner preform is inserted into the outer preform. At least one preform may have ribs extending radially towards the other preform. The ribs provided concentricity and interference to hold the preforms together during subsequent operations. The preforms may later be blow molded to provide a bag in bottle or similar container.

Aerosol dispenser with polygonal crimp ring outer container therefor and preform therefor

An aerosol dispenser, an outer container for an aerosol dispenser and a preform for an outer container. The aerosol dispenser, outer container and preform each have a neck, which in turn has a crimp ring, to receive a valve cup clinched thereto. The crimp ring has a polygonal cross section providing alternating flat sides and vertices. The flat sides both function as integral vents and allow parallel translation of mold cavities so that a two piece molding apparatus may be used.

AEROSOL CONTAINER MADE OF PLASTIC

The present disclosure relates to an aerosol container made of plastic, the container having a neck, the opening of which is closeable in a pressure-tight manner by a valve unit that can be actuated by a pushbutton, the container being Tillable with a liquid or gaseous propellant and a liquid to be sprayed. The aerosol container can be an injection cast preform with an elongated tubular preform body. The preform body is closed by a dome-shaped convex preform base, beyond which an integrally formed stand region projects in an axial direction. The preform body adjoins the opening of the neck at the opposite axial longitudinal ends of the preform body.

SEMI-CRYSTALLINE THERMOPLASTIC POLYESTER FOR PRODUCING AN AEROSOL CONTAINER
20190169367 · 2019-06-06 ·

Use of a semi-crystalline thermoplastic polyester for producing an aerosol container, said polyester having at least one 1,4:3,6-dianhydrohexitol unit (A), at least one alicyclic diol unit (B) other than the 1,4:3,6-dianhydrohexitol units (A), and at least one terephthalic acid unit (C), wherein the molar ratio (A)/[(A)+(B)] is at least 0.05 and at most 0.30, said polyester being free of non-cyclic aliphatic diol units or comprising a molar amount of non-cyclic aliphatic diol units, relative to the totality of monomeric units in the polyester, of less than 5%, and with a reduced viscosity in solution (25 C.; phenol (50 wt. %): ortho-dichlorobenzene (50 wt. %); 5 g/L of polyester) greater than 70 mL/g.

FLUID DISPENSER CONTAINER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A FLUID DISPENSER CONTAINER

A new fluid dispenser container is described which comprises a transparent plastic container body (12) with an open end and a separate bottom part (13) joined by laser welding to the open end of the transparent plastic container body. The separate bottom part (13) is made from the same transparent plastic material as the plastic container body (12) and the separate bottom part is laser welded to the plastic container body by melting mating surface lines on the plastic container body (12) and on the separate bottom part (13), whereas the heat to melt is created by a stationary laser means while the plastic container body has been rotated by rotating means at least over a full rotation or by a circularly movable laser means in a full circular motion while the plastic container is stationary.

PRESSURIZED PLURAL NESTED PREFORM ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
20190152122 · 2019-05-23 ·

A plural preform assembly having nested preforms with an inner preform and an outer preform. The preforms are sealably joined together, defining a volume between the preforms. Propellant is disposed in the volume between the preforms. The preforms are later blow molded to provide a bag in bottle, bottle in bottle or similar container. The propellant charge is already present when blow molded, preventing the need for a later propellant filling step.

METHOD OF MAKING AN AEROSOL CONTAINER

An aerosol container includes a main body portion that is constructed and arranged to withstand aerosol pressurization within a range that is about 90-180 prig and a threaded finish portion that is unitary with the main body portion. The threaded finish portion has at least one helical thread, a support ledge beneath the helical thread and a secondary flange that is positioned beneath the support ledge. The secondary flange has an outer circumference that is noncircular in at least one location, whereby it may be engaged during a capping operation to prevent rotation of the container during capping. A method of making an aerosol container in which a preform is capped before the blow molding process is also disclosed.

AEROSOL DISPENSER WITH INTEGRAL VENT OUTER CONTAINER THEREFOR AND PREFORM THEREFOR

An aerosol dispenser, an outer container for an aerosol dispenser and a preform for an outer container. The aerosol dispenser, outer container and preform each have a neck, which in turn has a crimp ring, to receive a valve cup clinched thereto. The crimp ring has slots which act as vents therethrough. The vents may be exposed to pressurized propellant and product due to deformation of the neck during undue internal pressurization. The vents to relieve propellant and product therethrough in the event of overpressurization.
